Job Purpose:
To develop and implement strategies to raise funds through community engagement and events. Key skills required for this role:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fundraising role, donor relations, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising and meeting financial targets.
- Experience of working with children preferred, although not essential.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in fundraising software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.

The Role

The River Thames Boat Project are now looking for a Fundraising Manager to raise the funds to enable them to run cruises and education days on the Thames.
As Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for growing the charitable income across all streams (grants, foundations, corporate sponsors), maximising members program, establishing a sound data base for fundraising and establishing a volunteer fundraising committee. You will develop and execute a fundraising plan and develop strong relationships with prospective and existing funders. You will research potential trust and foundation funders, write compelling bids and ensure effective reporting and stewardship. You will also be responsible marketing the charity to prospective clients through mailings, social media and other routes.

- Proven experience in raising income for small to medium size charities from multiple sources with a specific focus on trusts and foundations

Fundraising Legacy Manager

The Legacy Manager will be responsible for the entire legacy function from marketing legacies to the existing database, stewarding pledgers and supporters through to the administration of the legacies themselves, working with the legacy administrator. You'll work closely with the Director of Fundraising to deliver the legacy and in-memoriam giving programme.
We’re looking for those who can deliver an exceptional supporter experience for current and prospective legacy supporters with a focus on securing strategic long-term support by building a robust, sustainable pipeline of legacy Pledges.
As a leader you'll embed a legacy giving culture internally and will work closely with colleagues across the whole charity to promote legacy and in-memoriam giving messages. This, in turn, will inspire supporters to help Camphill Village Trust support more people with learning disabilities, autism and other mental health challenges.
What you’ll bring to the role:

Evidence of working at manager level to develop and implement successful legacy / donor giving strategies, particularly legacy stewardship.

Ability to manage and lead the legacy function.

Evidence of achieving annual fundraising targets, maintaining an acceptable ROI, and managing budgets.

Experience in a complexed geographically spread organisation.

A strong personal track record of achieving significant legacy support and successfully building long-term relationships with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A good working knowledge of current charity law, compliance and fundraising best practice as they apply to legacy fundraising and legacy administration, particularly in the areas of ethical due diligence, data protection, privacy and marketing consent, and safeguarding.

Ideally we are looking for someone to be based either within corridors of Midlands to London or Manchester to York. You will be a home worker with some travel to attend meetings in London and visit Communities in Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire, Yorkshire, and Worcestershire.

The person we’re looking for:
We are looking for a highly motived, capable and experienced Head of Fundraising. You will provide leadership and direction on all aspects of income generation, and you will need to have proven experience of securing sustainable income from multiple streams.
You will also have proven experience in developing and growing multiple income streams. You will need to have the ability to cultivate strong relationships with both long-standing supporters and new donors, particularly high net worth individuals.
You should be a natural leader, someone who can inspire your team, encourage innovation, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Adaptability and resilience are crucial, combined with exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of families across the UK.
This is a ‘doing’ role as well as a senior one. It’s also a wide role and you won’t be expected to be an expert at everything, so we are looking for someone with the knowledge, confidence and strategic approach to play to your strengths and those of your team. You will also need to use this approach to draw in other expertise and capacity where needed.

The Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) aims to create and develop the conditions that will enable people who have Down's syndrome to lead fulfilling and rewarding lives. We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Fundraising Events Assistant to join our fundraising team. This role is perfect for someone interested in start a career in fundraising and want to learn and develop with the community and challenge events fundraising.
The successful candidate will support the Manager of fundraising events with all challenge events in the portfolio. This includes the planning, organisation, marketing, delivery, recruitment and stewardship of participants and day to day administration for all DSA events.

Main responsibilities:-
· Assist the Manager of Fundraising Events with future event plans and creating and building on our Community Fundraising offer.
· Assist in the sale of items from the shop- especially Christmas cards, socks and merchandise.
· Support and develop relationships with members, supporters who participate in events taking responsibility for the supporter journey; providing motivation and encouragement from start to finish to ensure they continue to support.
· Managing the Events Inbox; Replying to all enquiries coming into the inbox.
· Attend and participate in events as required. This may involve occasional evening and weekend work, for which you will receive equal time back in lieu.
· Assist with the fundraising pages of the website ensuring copy is up to date and relevant and those events that require extra marketing are featured on the home page.
· Work closely with the Communications Team to develop promotional plans for each event maximising recruitment and exposure through our newsletter and social media platforms.
·Provide support to your team members during particularly busy times (and vice versa) such as Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week.
· To undertake any other duties as required by the Manager of Fundraising Events that fall within the grade and remit of this post.

QuarterFive are delighted to be partnering with The Orpheus Centre, which supports young disabled adults to live and work as independently as they are able. They do this through developing their confidence and independent living skills, using arts-based, bespoke learning, work experience and supported living programmes delivered from their base in Surrey. All of their learners are learning disabled and some are also physically disabled.
The Orpheus Centre is located at a beautiful converted farm that provides teaching and performance spaces and self-contained accommodation. However, their success in enabling these young people to thrive means that they are over subscribed every year and have outgrown the current facilities.
The capital appeal will convert a building next to the Centre to allow for more learners to enrol, in particular more learners with more complex needs. Currently, the quiet phase is projected for 2024-2027, with the build phase being projected for 2027-2029.
The Head of Capital Appeal will sit on the SMT, reporting to the CEO, and be responsible for leading a small team of fundraisers also dedicated to raising funds for the build. While there will be a team to support, the Head of Capital Appeal will spend most of their time personally fundraising as well. There are existing opportunities, including a well-connected President (also the Founder), a Capital Appeal Committee which will be set up, and an existing pool of donors. A focus on new business, however, will also be crucial for the success of the project.
As Head of Capital Appeal, you will:
- Develop, implement and monitor the private and public phases of the capital appeal strategy to enable the Orpheus Centre to meet the appeal target
- Establish a high performing capital appeal committee of volunteers to cultivate and steward potential significant donors
- Deliver target income from a range of sources, primarily major donors, trusts and foundations and statutory sources, but not discounting other viable income streams
- Personally secure significant major gifts for the capital project
- Design, recruit and lead a team of fundraisers to support on fundraising for the capital project
- Research and identify potential funders for the capital project
- Work closely with the build project team, to ensure clear communication between the funding and the building of the project
- Provide timely reports for Senior Management Team and Trustees to facilitate effective cash flow management and decision making
Ideal skills and experience:
- Significant experience in a senior high value fundraising role
- Demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure major gifts
- Extensive track record in working with trusts, major donors and statutory funders
- Experience of line managing teams of fundraisers
- Ability to adapt to different audiences, including donors, senior volunteers, team members, learners and all colleagues in the wider organisation
- Experience in managing senior level volunteers and fundraising committees
- Understanding of disability language and issues
- Ability to demonstrate an appreciation of the arts
