Even more alarming is that figure represents an increase of 58% from six years ago. Youth homelessness costs the UK economy an estimated £8.5bn, largely due to unemployment, and so the challenge can feel huge. But we already have the resources to solve it within the built environment sector. And that is where LandAid comes in.
We use our links to the UK’s property industry, harnessing its members’ direct capital, assets and skills to help tackle youth homelessness by awarding grants and investing in frontline charities, providing financial support, and brokering free advice and expertise to increase the impact of their support.
The Chief Financial and Operating Officer is an important new role for us, created to ensure we achieve our ambitions over the coming years by focusing on delivering better quality of management information, insights and analysis to the Board and leadership to inform decision making. A key early component of the role will be to develop a detailed four-year financial plan in line with our organisational strategy. You will also look to invest in our internal operations by driving continuous improvement and exploring emergent technologies that offer us the ability to deliver greater real-time insights to and efficiencies for our teams. In addition, you will review our risk and governance frameworks by working actively with our Board sub-committees.
Beyond finance, you will oversee our outsourced HR and IT functions, ensuring we receive high-quality and cost-effective support and have robust systems and policies in place. We are looking for a chartered accountant who brings senior finance leadership experience either at executive director level in an organisation of similar size to ours, or deputy director level in a larger organisation, most likely within a charity setting. Knowledge of the built environment and/or capital investment is advantageous, as is an understanding of the models of social investment. Crucially, you’ll be the sort of person your colleagues are keen to learn from and eager to work with, able to offer expert insight and coaching with patient enthusiasm, but comfortable in offering clear advice and direction when needed.

For a large, complex international organisation, we're recruiting an Interim Corporate Treasurer. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Corporate Treasurer is a leadership role managing all aspects of treasury policy, processes, controls, analysis, and investment strategy. This role will also lead on cash management, financing and investment activities, internal controls, risk management and loss prevention. Main Duties:

About the role
We’re looking for a motivated, communicative, and knowledgeable Public Affairs Officer to join our Policy and Influencing Team, to help us achieve the positive change children and young people with cancer across the UK, and their families, need in the health system. This means amplifying the voices of young cancer patients and delivering evidence-based campaigns that make change happen.
The Public Affairs Officer is responsible for supporting the Policy and Influencing Team with public affairs expertise to deliver the key components of our influencing work in England and UK-Wide (Westminster). You will help us influence the system for children and young people with cancer and their families, so we can change experiences of having cancer and ensure children and young people’s voices are heard.
This role is subject to a criminal record check. In the event of a successful application a basic criminal record check will be completed.
This role is a hybrid role, with frequent in-person presence in London required. As a London-based role requiring frequent travel within London, the advertised salary is reflective of our London pay scale.

As a Carers Hospital Support Co-Ordinator, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and supporting carers who’s relative, friend or neighbour is in hospital or receiving treatment at either the Royal London Hospital or the Homerton Hospital. You will be responsible for coordinating vital services, offering guidance, and creating a supportive environment to help carers cope with the challenges they may face whilst their cared-for is in hospital.

The Global Head of Brand and Creative Content sits in our Global Engagement Team, whose purpose is to harness the power of brand, creative content, digital experience, and integrated planning and strategy to expand our reach, increase revenue, and enhance our reputation. Principle Accountabilities
- Drive the development and implementation of a unified global brand strategy and content strategy that aligns with Save the Children's mission and values, championing a cohesive and compelling way to tell our brand story worldwide that drives impact.

Are you motivated by designing end-to-end services and experiences that make a real difference and influence social change? We are looking for a brilliant Mid-Level Service Designer to join our team designing, building and iterating user-centred services and products to the 18 million people in the UK who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus. The right person for this role will enjoy working in cross-functional teams to unpick complex and ambiguous user and organisational challenges.
Supported by the Senior Service Designer, this role will have the opportunity to lead on service design work across our strategic programmes of inclusion, health, employment, and research. You will work closely with colleagues in the Digital Team to shape and grow the practice of design, digital, and agile approaches across the organisation.
To be considered for this role you will be:
Passionately user-focused
You place people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus at the heart of cohesive and impactful services. You can support colleagues across a variety of roles to understand user needs as well as generate user insights and translate them into impactful outcomes.
Evidence-based in your design approach
You collect and synthesise evidence from best practice, research, and testing to inform your work. You can suggest suitable approaches to evidence gathering based on the context and constraints.
Collaborative
You work in partnership with teams and individuals across the organisation to design the very best outcomes. You build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and proactively contribute to creating safe and inclusive working environments. You are confident identifying who needs to be involved in the design process and bringing them on the journey.
