World Cancer Research Fund explores how diet, weight and physical activity affect your risk of developing cancer. We now have an exciting opening for a Head of Media, PR & Editorial. The postholder will be responsible for developing and supporting key campaigns and strategies that help to promote and explain the work, impact, health messaging and funding needs to diverse audiences. You will achieve these through PR and media relations, awareness-raising campaign development, supporter stories, celebrity/ambassador management, and the management of a small team, including staff and specialist consultant support.
We are seeking an experienced communications professional with demonstrable expertise and a track-record of success in managing communications for a charity, health or science-related organisation, including developing successful media strategies, with positive press coverage, and writing clear, engaging copy for different audiences across digital and social media channels. The successful candidate will also have proven experience planning and managing multiple cross-departmental projects.

- We are seeking two ambitious New Partnerships Leads with a strong track record of identifying, cultivating and winning six and seven figure charity of the year, cause related marketing, sponsorship, brand and strategic partnerships.
- With a sector-led approach, you will have responsibility and accountability for developing and implementing successful sector strategies and proactively generating leads to build, maintain and convert your own high-value pipeline.
- You will be a motivated, tenacious, resilient expert in corporate partnerships, and be able to seek out and develop new strategic, mutually beneficial partnerships that will generate significant income and awareness for Marie Curie.
- These roles require someone who is a strategic and commercial thinker, with the ability to maximise both short term opportunities and plan for the long term. You will have strong sector/industry networks, an expert understanding of corporate partnerships and have a proven ability to lead, develop and implement ambitious sector strategies.
- Essential to these roles is an ability to build strong internal and external relationships, and the ability to lead, motivate and support other team members. You will need to collaborate to produce high quality, tailored new business proposals, pitches and vote strategies at pace.
These roles will also require a willingness to travel across the UK.
Additional Criteria for Success:
- Proven track record in securing 6 or 7 figure corporate partnerships
- Experience of working on Charity of the Year (COTY), strategic, commercial and foundation partnerships.
- Experience of winning new business across a range of income streams, including Charity of the Year, CRM and sponsorship.
- Evidence of writing proposals, delivering pitches and winning corporate partnerships with a £100k+ value.
- Experience of identifying, prospecting and securing commercial relationships with corporate organisations in a charitable and / or commercial setting.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £34,500.00 - 41,500 + LWA £3,500 if applicable
Location: This role can be hybrid or home-based and can be based anywhere within the UK.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Supporting the area Field Organiser, in their work with groups of local people in and around small towns across the county in which they are based, this role will both organise and mobilise members of the public to take actions supportive of overseas aid and international development, including the climate crisis. As part of a team, you will help build an active local community presence to support the Campaigns aims in key locations across England. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent organisation, logistical and administrative skills, with a strong commitment to the aims of the Campaign.

About the role:
We are seeking a new Head of Business and Operations to play a crucial role in supporting the Head to review and drive continuous improvement.
The key responsibilities in the role will include:
- Finances: You will oversee and manage all finances and a multi million pound budget for the school.
- Human Resources: This will include leading on people strategy, workforce planning and performance management including evaluating the schools operational model.
- Systems and Processes: One of the immediate priorities for this role will be to evaluate systems and processes (for monitoring areas outlined in the job description) and seek ways to streamline these with innovative solutions.
This role does involve line management of two assistant operations managers as well as other office and facilities staff within the school.
You will work with the Headteacher to alleviate the administrative burdens from them but importantly support change management where identified / agreed.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in HR, finance including budget management and operations management — including management of operational performance and reporting for governance and relationship management (internal and external stakeholders).

To be successful in the role of Supporter Services and Fulfilment Executive you will need:
- Significant experience working with third-party service providers obtained from the commercial or charity sectors
- Experience developing and introducing systems and processes that improve efficiencies and effectiveness whilst saving costs
- Customer Relationship Management database experience, such as Salesforce
- Experience managing warehousing, stock, and fulfilment services

The new Executive Director will be responsible for leading the organisation in developing a new strategy to guide us through the next phase growth, while leading the team through an new political climate.
Grants fundraising is of particular importance to the role, and the successful candidate will be the lead person responsible for securing funding for our campaigning and organising work and maintaining strong relationships with donors.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about addressing health, climate, racial and economic injustice and the health impacts of conflict and militarisation, and who understands the vital role that health professionals have in making the connections between these issues and working for peace, to make the world a better, fairer and safer place.
You will have an understanding of the national and international framework within which Medact operates, and you will be able to demonstrate that your values and politics align with those of our organisation. Ideally you will have experience of working in health or with health workers, so that you have an appreciation of the culture within which they work and the potential of their contribution.
You will have strong leadership skills so that, valuing the collaborative approach of our team and respecting varying views, you are able to arrive at clear decisions. You will also have a track record in fundraising in similar fields and a good knowledge of a range of potential supporters.
