In this varied role, you’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and admin team to ensure the smooth running of our Centre by managing administrative tasks, assisting with IT and communications, and supporting operations and fundraising initiatives. Mental Health: All of the young people Baobab supports suffer significant mental health and developmental difficulties and many function in an unstable and more immature way than their chronological age. Due to their experiences it takes time to gain trust from the young people in our community. As a core member of our team, you will understand the impact of specific human rights abuses on the development of children and young people in exile and their individual experiences of loss, trauma and grief on their mental health and well-being.

It often takes a significant amount of time to understand Baobab’s model of working, which aims for rehabilitation and justice through attending to both the internal and external world of each young. Job Summary
Return Fundraising is looking for an experienced Data Manager to lead the team responsible for overseeing all data services within the business. In this role, you will ensure that data is collected, stored, processed, and reported accurately and efficiently to support exceptional telephone fundraising.
The Data Manager plays a critical role in data compliance, processing, and analysing client data. The Role

The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. We provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year. This support includes one-to-one and group support, funding vital scientific research into stroke prevention, acute treatment, recovery and long-term care, and campaigning to secure the best care for everyone affected by stroke.

Purpose of the role
The Relationship Fundraiser will develop fundraising income through nurturing relationships with individuals, companies and groups.As a staff ambassador for Day One, championing our values and behaviours and being committed to the difference that Day One makes is essential.
The role sits within our Fundraising and Communications Department and will play a big role in delivering our Fundraising Strategy and supporting campaign activities.
This challenging new role requires a positive, proactive and resilient self-starter with the ability to drive innovation, change and growth. You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of providing outstanding stewardship to every supporter, and building long-term, productive relationships focusing on an increase in supporter numbers and income to reach or exceed budget.
You will work within the diverse public fundraising team, encompassing community, individual giving, corporate fundraising and events. Our USP is providing exceptional personalised stewardship to every supporter. We are all about building and maintaining brilliant relationships with supporters – be they individuals, corporates or groups. You will be one of the public faces of Day One, attending regular events and networking opportunities.
Day One Trauma Support is now providing face to face services in Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Manchester. Our preference is for this role to be based in the north-west to build and develop our supporter networks around Aintree Major Trauma Centre and the Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital (Salford), but if you’re amazing and live in the north or north-east, then we’d still love to hear from you.
Who you’ll be working with
You’ll work as a key member of our friendly, experienced and enthusiastic communications and fundraising team. We're a small, dedicated team with big ambitions, and we prioritise time to work collaboratively and support each other. You’ll be line-managed by our Fundraising Manager and work alongside our Senior Fundraiser and our Fundraising Assistant. You’ll be supported by our Fundraising and Communications Director, our Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees.

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Fundraising Manager working for the educational charity PTI. This is a key role in fundraising in the organisation and will be instrumental in supporting the strategic ambitions of the charity moving forward. The Role:
As our Supporter Engagement Manager, you will work to ensure that SPANA provides its supporters and external stakeholders with the best-possible experience of the charity. While line-managing the Supporter Engagement team, your work will range from ensuring SPANA donations and post are compliantly processed, to
co-ordinating responses to enquiries, comments and complaints via post, phone and online. You will also manage the development and delivery of SPANA’s community fundraising programme.
This role will suit a dynamic, agile individual who recognises the importance of customer care and has the ambition to build SPANA’s position as a centre of excellence in supporter engagement.
Supporter Engagement
- Ensure all donations and enquiries are acknowledged appropriately, professionally and within agreed timeframes/our service level agreement, in order to maximise supporter and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Manage the operation of SPANA’s PO Box and London mailing points, ensuring all post is compliantly processed, recorded and scanned.
- Manage the SPANA FAQs, standard enquiry responses and thank you letters to be used by the team.
- Personally handle complaints and any sensitive matters, working with the Head of Supporter Engagement and Database, and the Director of Global Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, as necessary.
- Create and maintain Supporter Engagement process documents and training guides.
- Ensure all Supporter Engagement team interactions with stakeholders are captured on Raiser’s Edge.
- Ensure all donors, supporters and stakeholders have the best-possible experience in every interaction with SPANA.
Community fundraising
- Manage the development and delivery of SPANA’s community fundraising programme, including our current products World Tea Party and Big Knit.
- Ensure the charity meets or exceeds its annual community fundraising income target, whilst managing relevant expenditure.
- Manage the development of community fundraising marketing materials, working with external suppliers and internal stakeholders as necessary.
Management
- Manage the Supporter Engagement team, motivating and developing team members to deliver on objectives and targets.
- Report regularly on the performance of the Supporter Engagement team, compiling key performance figures (e.g. complaints log).
- Manage the workflow of the Supporter Engagement team, ensuring all daily tasks are covered at all times and all team members have a manageable workload.
- Establish good working relationships with our external suppliers, data handlers and agencies, and resolve queries and complaints involving them as necessary.
It should be noted that this job specification and remit may develop over time. The postholder should be happy to adapt and take on new and different tasks within the scope of the role.
Knowledge, Training & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of supporter engagement and customer care policies, process, procedures and programmes.
- Knowledge of community fundraising and supporter events.
- Knowledge of charity fundraising regulations, GDPR and data practices.
- Knowledge of the requirements and expectations of working in the charity sector.
- Knowledge of the animal welfare charity sector (desirable).
Experience
- Experience of working in a supporter engagement role or equivalent, with a track record of developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships with donors, supporters and stakeholders.
- Experience of establishing and development processes and procedures that optimise performance
Skills and Attributes
- Ability to diffuse situations with patience and diplomacy, to be a problem solver and to show sensitivity when required – e.g. when dealing with the bereaved in relation to in-memory gifts.
- Excellent computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office 365 suite, including strong Excel and Word skills.
- Database skills, preferably of Raiser’s Edge.
- French speaking (desirable).
