DCF are a family-founded charity, based in South London, focusing on supporting children and young people's wellbeing. We provide youth groups, workshops and 121 support in schools and in the community.
This is an exciting, key opportunity to develop our income generation, therefore supporting us to reach more young people.
We are looking for someone to take the lead on planning events and managing donor relations. There is flexibility in how the role could develop and we would value your expertise in how best to diversify our income and sustainability.
We currently deliver services in two boroughs (Croydon and Merton) and have a 5 year plan to expand to four boroughs. The role would include:
Work with the Fundraising Strategic Lead to develop a range of fundraising strategies
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners to expand our donor base and increase fundraising opportunities.
Plan and execute various fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
Collaborate with the team to support creation of compelling fundraising materials, including solicitation letters, email campaigns, and social media posts.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts, tracking key metrics and making necessary adjustments to improve results.
Maintain accurate records of donors, donations, and fundraising activities.

Trustees, as Company Directors and members of the Board, form the ultimate decision-making body for Woman’s Trust. Trustee/Directors are required to make a commitment to join the board for an initial minimum term of 3 years and serve as an active, supportive, well-informed Board member.
You will be required to attend various Trustee meetings including:
- In person full Board meetings every 2 to 3 months (at least 5 in total per year, for 2 hours),
- At least one Sub Committee meeting every 2 months (6 in total per year, for 1 hour remotely)
- The annual Board Strategy Day (an in person full day on Saturday)
We offer Trustees the opportunity to gain skills and experience, where appropriate, in areas such as fundraising, strategic planning, project management, policy development, and communications. Trustees will also have access to Woman’s Trust existing training programme on domestic abuse issues. The programme includes sessions such as the effects of domestic abuse, domestic abuse and the law, and good practice guidelines for those working with women affected by domestic abuse. Training in this area is not widely available so this is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills.

Are you a proactive fundraiser and looking to support a small charity? Are you passionate about making a difference? We're looking for a dedicated Honorary Treasurer to oversee the financial well-being of our charity.
The Honorary Treasurer will monitor the financial standing of the charity and support the Board in the review of all financial matters and the overarching strategic management of the organisation’s financial resources.

Role purpose
We have various fundraising events throughout the year and we are looking for volunteers to help us to support our amazing fundraisers. This would involve joining us at the fundraising events to cheer them on. This role would suit enthusiastic people who would like to motivate fundraisers to complete their event. We will have at least one cheer point along the route, where we will be showing our dedicated fundraisers how much we support them by cheering and clapping as loud as we can. This will also help to increase awareness of Pain Concern and the support the charity provides.

A bit about this role
Without the passionate and committed teams of volunteers across Cats Protection we wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us for help. The purpose of this role is to support the organisation with communications and administration at a local level. You’ll play an active part in the branch committee and support the branch with record keeping and planning, thus enabling more cats to be helped.
What can you expect to be doing?

Disseminating relevant organisation-wide information and updates to the branch volunteers

Supporting engagement and communication between the branch and wider organisation

Drafting committee meeting agendas and taking and sharing meeting minutes

Supporting the efficient running of the branch by ensuring administration processes are carried out effectively

Supporting the administration and update of the branch annual plan

Sign-posting queries from members of the public

Keeping branch records and information up to date and secure, using Cats Protection systems – training will be provided

- Committee volunteers need to be aged 18+
Time expectation
Our support volunteers usually spend 2-5 hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.
