About us
Who we are
Pain Concern is a small, mainly volunteer run charity, which works under the pressure of tight deadlines and to the highest standards to produce information in a range of media, including broadcast material, for people living with pain across the UK. For us, volunteers are enthusiastic people whose skills and contribution are essential to our work. We ask that our volunteers should be proactive and prepared to stretch themselves to achieve as much as possible. Our volunteers's views and opinions are important to us and we value their suggestions to improve the work of the charity. Consequently they can gain experience which will assist their careers, develop social and professional skills and acquire knowledge about pain and our beneficiaries. Our primary goals are: - To produce information on pain using a variety of media platforms. - To provide support to people with pain and those who take care of them. - To campaign to raise awareness about pain and improve the provision of pain management services.
