Waverley Care is looking for a new Fundraising Manager specializing in individual giving and legacies, with a secondary focus on philanthropic giving.
Waverley Care is Scotland's leading HIV and hepatitis C charity. The organisation has been at the forefront of providing care for those impacted by HIV and AIDS since 1989. Waverley Care now approaches a seminal moment as they close in on Scotland being one of the first countries in the world to get new HIV transmission down to zero by 2030.
To ensure they can meet the ambition, growth and expansion the charity sees in its future, the fundraising team has been invested in, including creating this new role. The fundraising team is in a good place and just needs the right person to join the charity to provide the remaining missing puzzle piece.
The successful candidate for the role of Fundraising Manager for Individual Giving, Legacies and Major Donors will be someone who has previously held responsibility for delivering individual giving campaigns and is looking to broaden their remit to include other income streams and line management. You will be skilled in providing an excellent supporter journey, and able to apply the fundamentals of gold standard stewardship to other income streams such as with major donors.
The role would suit someone who is excited by potential and is ambitious. Who can lead an individual giving campaign and be a credible expert for IG within Waverley Care. It is likely that the successful candidate will have been operating at a senior fundraiser level or perhaps as a sole fundraiser for a smaller charity, and is looking to take on a team of their own.
This role is hybrid based, with some presence expected at Waverley Care head office in Edinburgh for meetings and to build relationships across the wider team.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse.
We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.
We now have a need for two Development Officers to work closely with the Development Director and Development Manager in developing our trusts and foundations and statutory income streams, managing the accounts of existing supporters and generating income through securing new funding relationships. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding proposals, through to successfully managing relationships with funders.
One of the new Development Officers will have line management responsibility for a Development Coordinator, while the other Development Officer will not have any line management responsibilities. If you have a preference for one or other role, please note that in your application.
Success in this role would mean that, after six months you can:
• Confidently write and speak about Tender’s work, and how we prevent violence against women and girls, to a range of different funders.
- Write clear, compelling funding applications for five-figure sums to a range of funders.
- Proactively maintain positive relationships with funders you are responsible for managing.
- Support and work flexibly with other members of the Development team so that we can collaboratively reach our fundraising goals.

Fundraising Executive
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Executive to work with a charity that supports individuals who have a life limiting condition, helping to generate vital income through trust, grant, corporate, and event fundraising.
Position: Fundraising Executive
Salary: £37,500 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience)

About the Role:
As the Fundraising Executive, you will be responsible for generating both restricted and unrestricted income to meet the charity’s annual funding targets. Working closely with the wider team, including volunteers, you will develop an annual fundraising plan and lead efforts to secure funding from trusts, foundations, and corporate partners. Your role will also include developing and managing a Corporate Champions scheme, working with local businesses to secure regular financial support. Reporting on the progress of applications and managing relationships with funders are also key aspects of this role, as well as being responsible for one part-time fundraiser.

Why we need you
We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator with a passion for the Future Frontiers mission (you do not need to have previous experience of fundraising) who will play a vital supporting role to secure income that is needed to deliver the Future Frontiers programme for a growing number of young people.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Fundraising Manager and work closely with the Fundraising and Partnerships teams. You will write enquiries and applications for funding that are tailored to each recipient and make a convincing case for how their support will make a difference.
Reports and case studies
You will write reports that are tailored to each recipient and demonstrate how their funding has made a difference. This will involve arranging programme visits to speak with young people and develop case studies.
Supporter engagement
You will support the planning and delivery of high-quality, tailored communications and engagement opportunities for existing and potential supporters. This will include supporting individual volunteer fundraisers and employees of business partners.

The Role
This is an exciting new role in a newly formed team, built to enable personalised and human connection with the Stroke Association’s Regional Fundraising supporters.

Operation Smile is a global nonprofit specialising in cleft surgery and care. We provide medical training, education and mentorship to surgical teams around the world, along with expertise, research and care through our staff and volunteers, working alongside local governments, nonprofits and health systems.
Join Operation Smile UK as our Senior Acquisition Manager and make a difference in the lives of children. We're searching for a fundraising professional with experience in acquiring new donors through a variety of fundraising channels including Door to Door (F2F), digital fundraising, DRTV, cold mailing and door drops. You'll be responsible for managing a £2.4 million budget and developing innovative strategies to increase individual cash and regular giving support. This role is not responsible for the supervision or direction of staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and drive recruitment of regular givers and cash givers to grow income and supporter volumes, in a multi-channel programme including Door to Door (F2F), digital fundraising channels, DRTV, cold mailing and door drops.
- Manage relationships with agency partners executing acquisition campaigns on behalf of Operation Smile UK for the betterment of the acquisition programme.
- Lead and execute our door to door (F2F) programme with the goal of expanding this form of acquisition fundraising over the coming years.
- Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of OSUK's digital acquisition fundraising program, including the performance of current agencies and consultants. Develop strategic recommendations and a future-focused plan that leverages the expertise of existing or new external partners.
- Full campaign management and execution in line with prescribed deadlines. This includes briefing agencies, sourcing content, managing data, copy development, proofing, briefing stakeholders, training agents, developing campaign analysis and reporting, managing costs and invoice processing.
- Monitor and report on budgets and assist in building future expenditure and income targets. Work as part of the Individual Giving team to reach strategic targets.
- Work closely with the Communications & Digital team, and Individual Giving team to ensure campaigns are in line with brand standards and integrated seamlessly with supporter retention.
- Work closely with the Individual Giving team to constantly refine the newly introduced ‘welcome programme’ aimed at transitioning new donors to retained donors and improving retention rate.
- To work closely with the Senior Database Manager and agency partners to review direct marketing acquisition campaigns and ensure that information is used to maximise income for future campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Senior Database Manager to develop and implement essential Power BI dashboards. Proactively request ad-hoc data analysis to track key acquisition metrics and inform strategic decision-making.
- Introduce new acquisition channels and develop existing ones within KPIs to manage risk and keep fundraising up-to-date within evolving channels.
- To ensure that campaigns are where possible integrated or co-ordinated thematically, creatively and/or by target audience to maximise impact.
- To lead in the training of external agencies, effectively communicating the work of Operation Smile to key representatives.
- Travel to meetings in the UK and overseas where necessary.

Person Specification - we're looking for someone with experience and knowledge in the following:
- Experience and knowledge of event management, specifically with a track record of successfully delivering large scale events
- Excellent ability to establish, develop and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Confidence to deal with people at the very highest level, managing high profile volunteers with diplomacy and discretion, this will include preparing presentations to individuals and companies, sponsorship proposals, correspondence and briefings
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to organise and plan own work with conflicting deadlines
- Well-developed experience of working with other teams to maximise positive results for the organisation
- Excellent ability to successfully influence and negotiate with others
- Excellent communication skills to present information in a clear, persuasive, and inspiring way for a range of audiences
- Strong understanding of budget management
- The ability to analyse and meet financial targets
- You will also need excellent attention to detail, organisational, administrative and IT skills.
- Experience of success in a customer focussed environment, such as fundraising, sales or marketing
- Track record of demonstrating initiative and creativity to achieve desired outcomes
