Do you have a passion for working with children and young people? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in youth and children’s ministry while receiving high-quality training?
As an apprentice, you will work within a parish to develop and strengthen its children and youth ministry while studying with Ridley London. This three-year apprenticeship leads to a Certificate in Higher Education (Level 4) in Foundations in Theology, Ministry and Mission, with a focus on youth and children’s work.
You’ll be employed for 21 hours per week, spending 16 hours in the parish and 5 hours studying. Applicants must apply with a linked parish.

- Engaging with children and young people, building positive relationships and supporting their faith journey.
- Helping to lead activities such as Sunday school, messy church, youth groups, and holiday clubs.
- Creating and delivering new initiatives to deepen young people’s involvement in the church.

- Leading discipleship courses for young people.
- Assisting with administration related to children’s and youth work.
- Attending regular team meetings, supervision sessions, and training as part of the apprenticeship.

Ideally, you will have 3+ years’ proven track record in a fundraising position, with a focus on trusts/foundations and public sector income streams. However, you may equally have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment.
Either way, you will be skilled at budgeting and presenting financial information in easy to understand formats. You are a relationship builder and collaborative worker with a creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
You have a high standard of software literacy (Office software, Mailchimp and internet), excellent telephone manner and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of callers.

- Produce monthly property management accounts, annual budgets and 5-year plans
- Ensure all financial accounting records are maintained to agreed standard
- Design and implement Capital Project Accounting and Reporting process (against budget and financial plan)
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register
- Post year-end journals, prepare property notes to the accounts
- Finance lead for working groups/committees for large restricted capital projects (advise, report, provide financial information).

Who We’re Looking For:
Essential
- Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA (or other accredited higher accounting qualification)
- 3-5 years experience in management and financial accounting in a charity sector
- Practical accounting, general ledger maintenance, control and other account reconciliation experience

We are looking for a Community Fundraiser who is an excellent communicator and an energetic self-starter. You are comfortable with working independently, but ready to utilise the support of colleagues across the Fund. Above all, you naturally build rapport to quickly establish relationships and develop innovative partnerships. No one day will be the same and as part of the regional team, you will be the local face and voice of the Fund on the ground. You will quickly build your understanding of the key influencers in your community, and you will ensure they understand what we do so they will want to be associated with the charity. You will be responsible for raising income through existing networks of supporters, volunteers and building new relationships within the RAF, community groups and local business.
The role is primarily community based in East Anglia and requires travel around the region (Cambridgeshire, London Kent, Essex & Suffolk) and occasional overnight stays. Some evening and weekend work is also required during the busier months at planned events when required. The candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the regions. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need a full UK driver’s license; to be Basic DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

The Sentencing Academy is a charitable incorporated organisation created in 2019 to promote more effective sentencing practices and to further professional and public understanding of sentencing across England and Wales. We are looking for a Research and Policy Officer on an initial one year fixed-term contract. The primary responsibility for this role will be to create content for our forthcoming Sentencing Hub, which will draw together an array of resources on sentencing in England and Wales, including research summaries and data trends. The Sentencing Hub is currently in the early stages of development and will become a key research and statistical resource for those seeking the latest evidence on the effectiveness of the sentencing process. We anticipate that the Hub will become the Sentencing Academy’s primary research and dissemination vehicle.

The role will be responsible for ensuring that all events are managed effectively from a financial perspective – including pricing of events, grant applications, regular liaison with the project teams, timesheet management, financial reconciliations of events and post event analysis.
