• A proven track record of successful income generation across multiple fundraising streams, ideally including major donors, events, trusts and foundations, legacies, corporate partnerships and community fundraising.

• The confidence to operate at a senior level and deputise for the Charity Director when needed.

Interim Head of Fundraising (18 month fixed term contract)

Youth Options are looking for an interim head of fundraising to join our Senior Management Team and help us to continue to support children and young people

The role is offered on a fixed term contract part time basis with flexible, hybrid home and office working arrangements from our Head Office in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

Your role will be to oversee the implementation of the fundraising strategy, working in collaboration with the CEO and Senior Management Team to build on existing income streams and develop effective plans to secure long-term sustainable grant and non grant fundraising.

You will manage the fundraising team which consists of community fundraiser, corporate fundraiser and grants officer, supporting them to develop clear strategies to meet our ambitious fundraising targets. In addition, you will personally lead on developing significant grant bids, working with the delivery team to achieve funding to support our strategic priorities, as well as coordinate the reporting of progress against existing grants to our supporters.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, lead and deliver the fundraising strategy – deepening the existing supporter relationships, fundraising events and creating opportunities to engage more supporters.

· Establish and deliver clear stewardship plans for all supporters to maximise their engagement with Youth Options.

· Lead on grants fundraising including researching trust and grant funders, building relationships and submitting high quality grants.

· Oversee the implementation of our new CRM system.

· Management of fundraising team.

Person specification

· Leadership level experience of fundraising with demonstrable track record in securing large scale funding from multiple sources

· Experience of successful end-to-end grant management: from researching, grant writing, award and reporting, particular large grants.

· Excellent relationship management and communication skills with external and internal stakeholders

· Great management and leadership skills to inspire and motivate the team to achieve their targets.

· An interest in supporting children and young people and an affinity with our charities values of committed, supportive and inspiring.

Income from donations from wills makes up approximately a third of our charity’s annual income. This new role will provide our charity with a dedicated member of staff to grow and develop income from this stream; strengthening relationships with pledgers, future pledgers and solicitors and other will writing service providers. The Organisation

Methodist Ministers’ Housing Society (MMHS) provides quality housing and associated services for Methodist Church ministers and their spouses/partners. They currently support around 650 ministerial households across the UK, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands. MMHS has generated income mainly through rents from ministerial residents and market tenants, and investments. In their last financial year, total income was £5.7 million and total funds were £187.8m. The market rented portfolio is being sold and the proceeds of sale are being reinvested. This ambitious charity is focused on its continuing impact and is expanding its mission. Excitingly, new initiatives are planned for 2026, including enhanced wellbeing support and embarking on a new area of mission to address needs in the wider world.
 

The Job Role

As the Director of Finance, ICT and Investments, you will play a pivotal role in shaping MMHS’s financial strategy to support its strategic objectives and enable sound decision-making. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will have a strategic mindset, with the ability to provide insights to your senior colleagues, and you will provide advice and guidance to the board of trustees, becoming a trusted partner. You will develop and deliver financial plans, oversee financial systems to ensure robust control and compliance, and lead key financial activities such as monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, projections, and annual audits. Additionally, you will identify financial challenges and opportunities, develop approaches to address them, and lead and motivate your small team to cultivate a high-performing culture.

In ICT, you will implement MMHS’s strategy effectively, leading transformation projects to modernise and improve technology infrastructure and processes. You will oversee cloud migration, drive data-driven decision-making by leveraging AI and automation, implement plans to support outsourcing, and ensure robust cybersecurity and disaster recovery planning. You will also manage relationships with MMHS’s external support and services provider.

With investments, you will implement MMHS’s strategy, working closely with investment managers and third-party experts to align MMHS’s portfolio with strategic objectives, providing guidance to senior colleagues and the board.
 

The Person

This is a key post for the organisation, and they are looking for someone who can provide a long-term view while being ‘hands-on’ with day-to-day operations. You will be a fully qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA or equivalent) with significant experience in a leadership role. Experience or a desire to quickly upskill in investments is a distinct advantage. You will have the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. You will be someone who embraces change and continuous improvement. You will also be a team-player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Empathy with MMHS’s core values, which are high standards of care and professionalism underpinned by a Christian ethos, is essential.

Are you passionate about supporting survivors of domestic abuse? Do you have experience working with people with learning disabilities and autism? Respond is looking for a specialist Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to join our trauma-informed team. 

About Us 

Respond is a specialist organisation dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities and autism who have experienced abuse, trauma, and complex life challenges. We provide psychotherapy, advocacy, and specialist interventions for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. 

About the Role 

As an IDVA at Respond, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and empowering them to rebuild their lives. You will conduct risk assessments (DASH), develop safety plans, and work closely with agencies such as social services, police, and housing. You will also play a key role in raising awareness and improving support for neurodivergent survivors. 

What You’ll Do 

Provide specialist, person-centred advocacy for survivors with learning disabilities and autism. 

 Undertake risk assessments and safety planning to enhance survivor well-being. 
Represent survivors at MARAC and multi-agency meetings, advocating for their needs. 
Work closely with social services, health professionals, and the criminal justice system. 
Deliver training and consultation to professionals on supporting neurodivergent survivors. 
Ensure accurate case management and uphold safeguarding responsibilities. 

What We’re Looking For 

IDVA qualification OR significant domestic abuse advocacy experience. 
Understanding of domestic abuse, coercive control, and trauma-informed practice. 
Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those with learning disabilities and autism. 
Strong advocacy, case management, and multi-agency working skills. 
Ability to adapt communication styles to support neurodivergent clients. 
Knowledge of MARAC, safeguarding, and legal frameworks for domestic abuse cases.
