About the Role
We are now recruiting for an experienced Director of Operations to play a crucial role in guiding our driven and committed team as we shift our culture and infrastructure, upholding our vision, mission, principles, and values.
The post holder will work with colleagues to develop, implement and review Hibiscus’s strategy and plans, particularly as they impact our operating and finance models. They will be responsible for developing and monitoring the annual business plan, reporting progress and providing reliable structural, financial and people management. They will support the CEO in building and instilling a sense of unity and purpose into the work of the organisation, and represent the operational work to the Board. They will be responsible for the efficient running of operations and central functions, conducting risk assessments, monitoring performance and reviewing procedures, with a particular focus on overseeing the effective financial management of the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning and producing financial budgets for the organisation, alongside monitoring projects from start to finish, preparing costings for funding applications, agreeing contracts and grant terms, monitoring deliverables and co-ordinating timely reporting. They will oversee the production of quarterly management accounts and yearly finance audits, and communicate the financial landscape of the organisation to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board. The Director of Operations will play a key role in risk and compliance, with a focus on data, safeguarding, policies and procedures, and legal and statutory requirements. They will work to increase the effectiveness of our operations, whilst supporting and contributing to the fundraising efforts of the organisation. A key element of the role will be to work to integrate our workplace culture into HR processes and procedures, modelling a fair and open management approach that ensures trusted relationships are embedded throughout the organisation.

The Role

The British Paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA) is the professional organisation for doctors who specialise in the care of children with neurological disorders. The BPNA has developed a number of educational programmes for doctors in the UK and overseas both online and face-to-face. ABOUT THE ROLE
As a respected and growing organisation, BPNA is looking for a highly motivated individual who can use their dedication, attention to detail and reliability to help us develop further. We are seeking to appoint a UK Short Course Administrator to join our small team which is based across our Bolton and London offices. This is a full-time, permanent post based in Bolton, working 37.5 hours a week (7.5 hours per day x 5 days per week). The Short Course Administrator will provide customer care as well as logistical and technical support to both online and face-to-face UK short courses.

This role would suit an organised, efficient and practical person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good deal of common sense. You will also have diplomatic skills and the ability to build good relationships. You will need to be flexible, have an ability to problem-solve on-site, provide online zoom support, set up equipment such as computers and data projectors, and to organise highly educated people whilst remaining calm and maintaining a sense of humour. We are looking for someone to join our team who will contribute to maintaining and developing our customer focused ethos.

Purpose
This is an exciting time at CBM UK, as we continue to grow and develop our philanthropic
fundraising. To help us achieve our ambitious long-term goals this role requires an
experienced and passionate individual to be part of our Philanthropy Team.
This vital role will lead the programme to build and grow our relationships with High-Net-
Worth Individuals (Major Donors) over the next five years and beyond. Working alongside
the Head of Philanthropy, you will seek to build upon current relationships, as well as
identifying, researching and cultivating relationships with new and lapsed major donors to
increase income for CBM UK’s work.
CBM is a Christian charity, and as a key supporter facing role, the position holder will
represent CBM’s purpose and ethos to all external audiences and will be sympathetic and
embracing of Christian beliefs and values.
You will be part of a dynamic and highly skilled Fundraising and Communications team,
dedicated to inspiring people in the UK to help transform lives in some of the world’s
poorest places.
Responsibilities and areas of work
This important role will seek to develop our Major Donor income stream, seeking to grow
both numbers of donors and income raised. At CBM, a Major Donor is considered to be
one who has the capacity to give £5,000+ per year and who relishes the opportunity to
have one-to-one, personalised interactions with CBM.
This role will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well as help to develop existing
relationships with our generous supporters.
Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Leadership Team, other team
members and (occasionally) external consultants, this role focusses on building and
consolidating our major donor portfolio, so increasing our donor base and thus our in-year
and pledged income.
Main Goal:
To successfully steward a portfolio of new and existing major donors through tailored
approaches, so securing repeat and multi-year gifts to achieve agreed income targets and
KPIs.
This will be achieved through:
1. New business acquisition:
a) Analysing our current supporter base to build a prospect list, using our database
(Salesforce) and external databases, to assess the potential to upgrade active,
lapsed and prospective major donors.
b) Researching, identifying and securing major donor prospects, through the
identification of high-net-worth individuals who may have an interest in CBM’s work,
and through proactive and effective networking, including working with our Trustees,
Patrons and Ambassadors.
c) Identifying next steps and determining tactics for engagement, including 1:1
working, giving group presentations and delivering pitches at various levels, and
leading on their facilitation.
d) Attending networking opportunities in Cambridge, London and the surrounding
areas to represent CBM and to engage potential major donors in our work
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, so that
individuals are engaged in a bespoke manner, ensuring that they feel a part of CBM
and that their generosity is recognised, through regular reporting, interactions,
updates and tailored approaches.
b) Developing donor-centric applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post,
email, phone and face-to-face) that are driven by insight on donors’ individual needs
and preferences and are tailored to their interests and requirements, following up as
required.
c) Reporting to donors in both formal and informal ways, as appropriate, to ensure
they are kept up to date with CBM, the impact of their grant and project
developments.
d) Hosting and facilitating face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors,
including organising dates, venues and agendas/ talking points, and creating
Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes as far as possible.
e) Promoting the importance of legacies, and legacy income, where appropriate, and
to steward those who have pledged.
f) Organising and managing the successful delivery of at least one Major Donor Event
annually (cultivation, stewardship, thanking etc), to ensure positive relations and
potential new business, in collaboration with our Fundraising and Programme
colleagues.
g) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Officer on the
identification, stewardship and cultivation of potential corporate partners.
3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Crafting compelling proposals and reports that meet the bespoke needs of major
donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues,
within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of major
donor proposals / reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications
Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy Team to develop new projects/ themes/ appeals for
potential projects.
d) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy on collating information and providing reports
to Foundation donors as needed.
4. Planning and Budgeting
a) Contributing to the development of an Income Generation and Engagement
strategy, led by the Director of Fundraising, Impact & Communications.
b) Closely monitoring income and expenditure, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy
where necessary, and contributing to the creation of yearly fundraising budgets and
plans and quarterly Board Reports.
c) Establishing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, milestones
and targets to facilitate informed decisions and improved working practice.

a) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our
database to fully-inform any approaches/meetings.

At Lindsey Lodge Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care to local people and families living with life limiting illnesses
and have been central to specialist End of Life care provision to our community for over 30 years.
Care is not only for those in the last months or days of life but aimed to help those from diagnosis of a life limiting
condition to live well and have a good quality of life in the community, managing symptoms of disease progression.
Families and carers are integral to the care, and our model aims to understand needs and support appropriately,
particularly with pre- and post-bereavement support.
We work closely with the NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, primary and secondary care and social
care colleagues and the Collaborative of six independent hospitals covering the regional ICB.
We work in a changing and challenging operating environment, but through our expert and highly committed team, and
an openness to development and collaboration, we are very well placed to continue our track record of growth and
development. Our CE will lead this work, providing dynamic, high-level strategic and operational leadership and
management with an emphasis on ensuring the highest standards of specialist palliative and end of life care at the heart of
all activities.

The successful candidate will be a compassionate, solutions focused and visionary leader, with proven experience at
senior management / executive level gained within a healthcare environment. An accomplished communicator, they will
have instant credibility when engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, coupled with the ability to work with
a diverse range of stakeholders, creating partnerships and encouraging increased collaboration. Their specific experience
will include:
• A proven track record of strategic leadership coupled with experience of managing, developing, and influencing
others to deliver results, engendering a culture of team working
• Demonstrable record of establishing a strong performance culture, inspiring, motivating and empowering people to
meet corporate objectives and deliver services that are responsive, patient-focused and achieve results
• Relevant experience in developing or re-designing services to and in response to an increase, change in demand, or
financial constraint
• Direct involvement in translating broad strategies into specific objectives and action plans and aligning processes
and systems to achieve strategic priorities
• Experience of effectively managing resources and budgets, as well as experience of delivering long-term financial
sustainability and value for money.

Position: Operations Administrator
Location: London, UK with option for working either from the offices in London or remotely from home

About You

• Relevant work experience in an administration role.
• Experience supporting a busy team with a high volume of travel for both direct team members as well as some external consultants.
• Experience managing travel logistics across a number of different countries or locations would be an advantage.

About the role
We are looking for a Driver and Admin Assistant who will be responsible for transporting office staff, visiting Sightsavers personnel, and consultants as needed. The Driver will also ensure the maintenance and safety of all office vehicles. Additionally, the Driver will perform clerical duties to support the efficient operation of the office.
Responsibilities
- Drive safely within the laws of (Country) at all times and with respect for other road users and pedestrians.
- Pick up Sightsavers staff to and from the airport where this service is not outsourced.
- Check fuel, oil, and water daily and fill up as necessary.
- Keep vehicles in a clean condition inside and outside.
- Undertake routine maintenance of vehicles, including simple repairs.
- Ensure vehicles are regularly serviced and advise the Finance & Administrative Assistant when servicing is required and/or when defects/problems arise.
- Make sure all vehicles have reflectors, fire extinguishers, first aid boxes, etc. First aid boxes for the vehicles must be checked regularly to ensure that items used are promptly replenished.
- Keep a maintenance record of vehicles
- Maintain liaison with officials of immigration and embassies for staff entry visas and renewal of passports and work permits.
- Assist in picking up invoices for procuring logistics.
- Perform other duties as required.

About you
The Driver and Admin Assistant will be a responsible and experienced driver with a valid driving licence and a proven track record of driving safely within the laws of Liberia. The Driver and Admin Assistant will be reliable, respectful of other road users and pedestrians, and committed to supporting the efficient operation of the office through their driving and clerical duties.

Essential:
- Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a driver’s test.
- Ability to complete and pass an eye test.
- Proven experience in driving safely within the laws of (Country) and with respect for other road users and pedestrians.
- Experience in acting as a driver for staff to carry out official duties.
- Ability to pick up Sightsavers staff to and from the airport where this service is not outsourced.
- Experience in driving vehicles for official errands.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of keeping vehicles equipped with reflectors, fire extinguishers, first aid boxes, etc., and ensuring first aid boxes are regularly checked and replenished.
- Experience in test driving vehicles once a week to ensure they are in good condition.
- Ability to perform other clerical duties as required to support the efficient operation of the office.
