This is an exciting opportunity to help Cambridge City Foodbank (CCFb) realise it’s vision of ending the need for foodbanks by assisting the development and smooth running of our Fairbite Food Club network, in support of the Fairbite Development Manager. The Fairbite Food Clubs provide affordable food to those in need for a small membership fee, as well as a sense of community and wrap around support such as financial advice. We currently have a network of five Fairbite Food Clubs throughout the city.
Main Duties
● Liaise with Fairbite Food Club coordinators on a range of operational issues, such as stock needs.
● Order stock through a variety of routes, e.g. supermarket, fruit and vegetable suppliers, FareShare etc.
●Look into alternate supply chains, to ensure we are getting value for money.
●Assist with the day to day running of Fairbite Food Club Arbury, such as arranging the volunteer rota, training new volunteers, checking stock needs.
●Help with maintenance issues arising relating to the Fairbite Food Clubs, such as new equipment needs or arranging to get equipment fixed.
●Ensuring that Fairbite Food Clubs are compliant with food safety and health and safety regulations.
●Carry out various administrative tasks, such as issuing time credits to volunteers, inputting member or volunteer data, producing signage for shops
●Support the running of a Fairbite Food Club session, where needed, alongside volunteers.
●Other activities may be requested from time to time by the CEO, consistent with the job role and the needs of the Charity.
Personal Specification:
Technical skills and minimum knowledge:
● Strong administrative experience (including budget administration), highly organised, and able to effectively juggle multiple administrative tasks at the same time!
● Experience of community work and working with volunteers.
● Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills.
● Competent in the use of Zoom/Teams and MS Office software.
● Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
● Able to do manual handling, including moving chairs and tables.
● Full clean driving licence, and use of car to travel between community locations.

As a Programme Assistant, you will be working across both of these programmes, supporting both the Awards and Advising teams to provide outreach; widening participation and informational activity for Fulbright awards; and support our advising activity about wider opportunities to study in the USA.
As the successful candidate, your work will be varied, from attending university fairs to meet with prospective students, answering individual questions coming in by email, to helping keep our network of Fulbright Champions up to date. Alongside running a lively webinar and in person event schedule, which you will be involved in promoting, you’ll also have the chance to help deliver events such as Champions workshops and USA College Day, Europe’s largest US university fair.
You’ll bring a passion for educational exchange to the role, and you will be organised and goal orientated, and be resilient in managing a busy workload and a changing external environment.. You’ll have some experience of event management and handling data, but also be passionate about helping people find their best fit or route. You’ll be able to inspire students while also anticipating questions or concerns they might have about applying for a Fulbright award or US study more generally.

The Regular Giving Coordinator role:
The fundraising team at Coeliac UK plays a crucial role in raising funds to support the charity’s work. This is a new position within the team, ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering an outstanding supporter experience, is organised, and enjoys working with data. The focus will be on managing and growing our regular giving programme, ensuring a positive experience for existing donors and attracting new supporters.
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, you will be responsible for increasing the number of regular donors, maintaining and upgrading relationships with existing supporters, and contributing to Coeliac UK’s overall fundraising goals.
Key responsibilities of the Regular Giving Coordinator:
- Coordinate the regular giving programme, ensuring smooth processes for donor sign-ups, payments, and communications.

- Collaborate with the Individual Giving Manager on producing supporter newsletters, ensuring regular givers are appropriately thanked.

- Ensure all regular giving income (including Direct Debits, Standing Orders, Recurring Credit Cards, and Payroll Giving) is processed correctly and promptly for accurate financial reporting and supporter stewardship.
- Assist the Fundraising team with supporter care tasks, including responding to telephone, post, and email inquiries, processing donations, handling merchandise, and supporting appeals.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Fundraising and Director of Fundraising on progress towards financial targets, marketing plans, and other KPIs.
- Work with other teams, including fundraising, membership, marketing, and finance, to support and enhance the regular giving programme.
- Occasionally attend events at evenings and weekends if required

Responsibilities
Act as the project lead for the systems implementation:
- Ensuring that the needs of a complex multi-entity & multi-currency organisation are translated into the system requirements;

Work Context:
The role of Head of Finance is crucial to the continued success of the charity, and the support we provide to children and adults in Surrey who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind. Early warnings, and long-term predictions of financial problems are essential to the annual planning of activities.
This role involves the post holder having detailed knowledge of daily accounting, as well as the ability of the incumbent to be able to describe financial matters to trustees and staff who may not be financially trained, along with the ability to take a more strategic outlook and to work with other Senior Managers. Careful briefing is needed to help Senior Managers to manage their budget effectively, and to enable Trustees to understand the monthly dashboard and end of year accounts. The post-holder is personally responsible for identifying financial risks to the Chief Executive and Treasurer, along with suggested mitigations that they have identified. The Head of Finance is responsible for making all the necessary arrangements for the Annual Audit of Accounts with the chosen auditors.

About the role:
We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to co-lead and implement the organisation’s strategy, operational and fiscal oversight and team management – including with science, marine operations, logistics, data, communications, finance and central operations teams along with an international alliance of science, business, government, philanthropic and civil society partners.
