We will be hosting an assessment centres on the 3rd and 4th of October at our Nottingham centre.  Please note you must be available to attend on those day. This position reports directly to the Senior Fundraising & Marketing Manager, sharing collective responsibility to deliver Beechwood’s mission in supporting those affected by cancer and in attracting and growing fundraising income to achieve this.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising, Development, and Income Generation

• Assist in developing and delivering the fundraising strategy to raise awareness and to achieve agreed income targets across a range of revenue streams including corporate partnerships, trusts and grants, fundraising events, community fundraising, individual giving, legacies and digital fundraising.
• To maximise growth opportunities for current partnerships and event sponsors.
• To research identify and develop potential new supporters, sponsors or major donors.
• Nurture and manage a range of external relationships, with an ability to speak confidently and to give presentations.
• Ensure all supporter and donor data is captured on the in-house CRM system and all other fundraising and supporter records are up to date.
• Ensure fundraising Gift Aid is recorded accurately, records maintained, and claims filed in a timely manner.
• Ensure fundraising and event expenditure is within agreed budgets and report on all events/ROI.
• Oversee the fundraising pipeline to ensure targets are achievable and quality is maintained, producing monthly reports for the CEO, Board of Trustees and Head of Finance.

Marketing & Communications

Overall purpose

The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.

As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.

You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be part of Breaking Barriers’ Joint Leadership Team and will have overall strategic and budget responsibility for Corporate Partnerships. They will be a visible leader within the Income and Engagement Directorate and across the organisation, and will contribute to a culture of creativity, growth, innovation and entrepreneurialism that will drive us to achieve our 2030 goals.

About the role:

As well as working with our managed service provider to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of our IT systems and processes, this role will play a key part in the successful delivery of IT projects (including network migration).

Initially, a significant part of the role will be to manage the migration of our on-premises network to the cloud. This will involve cross-team working to establish site structure and access. An overlapping project will be the implementation of VOIP telephony.

Working across the organisation, with non-technical staff, you will ensure that our IT infrastructure supports and enhances our charitable delivery. 

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent technical knowledge (particularly in Microsoft 365, integrations and CRM platforms) and experience in the IT function of an SME organisation (ideally one with multiple functions and different geographical locations). Fleet Administrator

Part Time - 21 hours per week (over 5 days)

About the role:

This is a newly created part time role following a period of growth. The Fleet Administrator will be responsible for the efficient administration of the fleet to ensure that Rainbow Trust vehicles are managed effectively, accurate records are maintained, and costs are minimised, working closely with suppliers to ensure the smooth running of the fleet with minimal disruption.

The Fleet Administrator will form a vital part of the Finance and Operations Team supporting the Facilities & IT Manager in the management of the Rainbow Trust fleet. Rainbow Trust operates a fleet of approximately seventy vehicles situated across our nine regional teams. It is vitally important that our Family Support Workers have a reliable vehicle for attending family visits and transporting families to hospital. In addition, the Fleet Administrator will be required to assist the Facilities and IT manager with ad-hoc tasks/projects according to the workload.

Full training will be provided and previous experience of managing a fleet is not required, although is desirable. A good level of maths, excellent communication, planning and Microsoft Excel skills are required to be successful in this role.

This is an excellent opportunity to maintain a breadth of fleet administrator experience with increased responsibility.

Main purpose of the role

This is a key role supporting the delivery of the online and in-person programmes that we run at Shine Cancer Support. Our programmes are a vital means of support for the Shine community, enabling younger adults to cope with cancer, no matter the type or stage of cancer.

As a Programme Officer, you will play an important role in working with the Programme Delivery Manager to ensure that the content of the programmes meets the needs of our service users, and that they are delivered in a way which empowers younger adults and builds Shine’s community across the UK. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Programme delivery:

• In collaboration with other team members, facilitating a range of Shine programmes, both online and in-person. This will include Shine’s current programmes: Break Out and Shine Circles, as well as in-person programmes such as Shine Shake Ups. Training and supervision will be provided for both. Travel may be required to cities across the UK to facilitate programme delivery.

• Facilitating regular online ‘meet ups’ for Shine service users from across the country.

2. Programme administration:

• Managing programme applications from application to enrolment on the programme.

• Conducting pre-programme discussions with applicants, ensuring they know what to expect from the programmes, answering questions they may have, and keeping relevant, confidential notes.

• Sharing upcoming programmes with other charity contacts and/or healthcare professionals.

We're looking for someone who is excited about supporting community fundraisers across the UK to raise funds for us. You'll have the skills and interest in creating and delivering our own events and community fundraising activities. You'll build relationships with our supporters, developing our presence and support within the communities we serve to raise income.

You'll take the lead on delivering the strategy and operational plans for community fundraising, individual giving and supporter stewardship. The role provides varied opportunities to learn and develop within these areas, and will suit someone who is either new to the fundraising sector or who is looking to progress from fundraising assistant level. You'll need to bring a passion for building relationships, and delivering excellent supporter care. 

You'll be part of a small team of dedicated colleagues working across different fundraising specialisms whilst collaborating to reach our goals, and a key part of an organisation of people who are all inspired by the difference we can make.

This position will be focused on their advice line service focused on increasing the financial well-being of older people in financial hardship, enabling greater choice and independence in wider areas of life.

They’re in the process of transforming and growing their Information and Advice Service and are looking for someone to add leadership capacity to set them up for success.

The Helpline Specialist will support with the delivery of their advice and support services as well as line management and coaching of three service managers. You will also support with a review of their outsourced helpline services, reviewing options for future delivery.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience of Information and Advice provision with experience of delivering high volume, telephone-based information, advice and casework services. You will be a personable and experienced leader, with the ability to coach and mentor staff to develop their capability.

Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in 2020 by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated researchers, doctors and nurses working alongside Professor Emma Crosbie. Since then, the original founders have been joined by invaluable volunteers and 2 staff members to ensure we can raise awareness, support patients, fund and promote womb cancer research.

Womb cancer, also known as endometrial and uterine cancer, is the most common gynaecological cancer in the UK. Affecting approximately 9,700 people annually, most are diagnosed over 50 years of age and have gone through the menopause, but womb cancer can affect younger women too. When diagnosed at an early stage, womb cancer is often treatable: when diagnosed at early stages, 1 and 2, the survival rate is 92%. However, when the disease is diagnosed at later stages, 3 and 4, the survival rate reduces to 15%. Currently 1 in 5 women, or people with a womb, are diagnosed at advanced stages. Latest figures show that the equivalent of 27 people every day are receiving a new womb cancer diagnosis and 7 people are dying from this disease every day in the UK. Peaches want to change that and save lives. We can't think of a better way to spend your time and deploy your skills. 

We are looking for a senior leader to build and develop our small organisation. 

Role Overview:

As the Operations Executive at Peaches Womb Cancer Trust, you will play the lead role in the efficient and effective delivery of our charitable and organisational aims. Reporting to our Chair of Trustees, you will work with autonomy and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our charity, managing our small team of dedicated staff and volunteers and driving our fundraising initiatives to enhance our impact and sustainability as an organisation.

Key responsibilities:

· Leadership: providing effective line management, empowering others, working collaboratively and fostering open and clear communication at all levels of the organisation.

· Project Management: target driven, supporting the planning and design of projects, monitoring and evaluating performance, with the ability to work flexibly within wider changing and unpredictable environments.

· Fundraising: drive significant growth of the charity over the next financial year through existing and developing new opportunities.

· Financial management: work closely with the Finance Trustee to develop the annual budget, monitor monthly cash flow and check and report on levels of income and expenditure.

· Organisational growth: monitor the quality and quantity of services delivered, their outcome and explore opportunities to expand and develop the aims of Peaches Womb Cancer Trust.  Collaboration with external organisations.  Lead recruitment and expansion of our small team, as, required.

· Representation: present at board meetings, external organisation and steering groups and be the lead representative of Peaches Womb Cancer Trust.

· Governance: Assist the Board of Trustees on all matters relating to their legal obligations and charity law compliance including health and safety and safeguarding.

The Grant Funding Assistant processes applications from food banks including the awarding and paying of grants to food banks in the Trussell Trust network.  They maintain data on grant applications and awards, for routine processes and for communications with grant applicants. 

Role responsibilities

· To deliver clear, informative and timely communications about the grant funding programme to stakeholders, including to potential and actual grant applicants, and foodbank-facing staff

· To administer efficient recording, processing and reporting of data in relation to grant applications, awards and payments

· To systematically undertake the thorough and prompt checking of new grant applications, including for completeness, eligibility and compliance with guidelines and criteria

· To convey clearly with grant applicants where actions are required, and monitor completion of those actions

· To clearly and promptly inform applicants of the outcome of their grant application

· To provide the finance team with accurate data to ensure timely payment of grants
