Our grant-making model is unique. The central core and operating costs of Synchronicity Earth are generously covered by the Synchronicity Foundation, which means that any donation we receive is disbursed out to the field without a management or administration fee taken. - Monitor and track grantee compliance with all report submissions and any other key deliverables.
- Manage the grant pipeline, reporting issues to the Programmes Team, working towards solutions with partners and enabling speedy grant giving.
- Support the Programme Team in development of rolling 3-year plans for funding, and liaise with Philanthropy Team to allow planning for fundraising.
- Provide advice and guidance to applicants and grantees on administrative procedures, policies and practices.
- Act as the internal point of contact for all grants in our database (Salesforce).
- Coordinate and deliver on reporting requirements to the Finance, Research, Operations and Risk teams for all grant giving.

About us
Synchronicity Earth is a UK-based, global environmental charity which funds and supports organisations and individuals that aim to make our planet a better place to live for all its inhabitants.
We are a medium-sized charity which supports partners working to protect less well-known species and ecosystems around the world that receive less attention but face the greatest threats. We do this through our conservation Programmes, which identify, fund, and support organisations with a focus on: Amphibians, Asian Species, Congo Basin, Biocultural Diversity, Freshwater, and Ocean. We also support projects across two other areas: the More than Carbon initiative, a portfolio of climate and biodiversity projects targeted at corporate donors; and the Synchronicity Portfolio, which aims to foster systemic change to promote a greater focus on biodiversity conservation within different sectors. Our partners are mostly organisations embedded within their local communities, and often projects which also consider social impacts such as women’s health and empowerment, engagement with Indigenous Peoples, and sustainable livelihoods (e.g., small-scale fisheries) in addition to wildlife conservation.
Our workplace values and culture
We pride ourselves on having an open and inclusive culture. Our team supports each other and encourages new ideas and creativity to help us develop new projects and reach new audiences with our work. We aim to apply the same dedication to a flourishing diversity of people and wildlife on our planet through our programmes to our working environment and strive to make this environment open and inclusive for everyone. We recognise that the environment sector (and our organisation, as part of it) does not reflect the diversity of the global community it serves (particularly in terms of ethnic diversity) and has a long way to go to be as inclusive as possible to ensure people from all backgrounds and personal situations feel welcome in the workplace.

We’re looking for a Data Officer to join our growing Young Sounds team. You will fulfil an important cross-organisational role, working closely with the team to collate and analyse the data collected through all our programmes.
About Young Sounds UK
Young Sounds exists because musical talent is everywhere but opportunity isn’t: family finances and other obstacles too often get in the way. We’re here to change this in two key ways:
• We support young musicians from low-income families with funding and other help;
• We support music education through training, advocacy and research.
We became an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation in April 2023 and also joined an expanded cohort of National Youth Music Organisations (NYMOs). We currently support around 900 individual young people across the UK every year and demand for our support is increasing. It’s an exciting time to join a pioneering organisation at the forefront of British music education.
The role
The Data Officer will fulfil an important cross-organisational role, working closely with the team to collate and analyse the data collected through all our programmes. Young Sounds is a reflective organisation. We’ve always invested time and effort in seeking out, understanding and demonstrating the difference our programmes are making. We believe in learning from experience. This is what we mean by evaluation.
Since 2023 we have committed to evaluating all three of our main programmes, each of which tackles a key barrier to young people’s musical progression. Each quarter we review our progress against both our Arts Council England Activity Plan (where measures of success are agreed annually) and the actions we’ve set for each year against each of Arts Council England’s four Investment Principles. We believe that data plays an integral part in telling the story of our work, and we regularly draw upon the information collated through evaluation to update our wider funding base (e.g. Trusts and Foundations) on the work we are doing. The Data Officer will work with the External Evaluator to enable us to report effectively and accurately on our progress to all our funders.
Working relationships
Reporting to the Finance and Operations Director you will also work closely with the External Evaluator, Development Manager, Finance Officer, and other members of the wider Young Sounds team.
Place of work
Home-based, with occassional travel for meetings.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

Internally your job title will be Recovery Worker.
You’re caring, flexible and creative, thrive under pressure, know how to connect with people at all levels and really enjoy helping others to live as independently as possible. You’d also like to be part of an organisation that counts on the professionalism, insight, expertise and passion of its staff to inspire individual recovery for the people they work with. Welcome to Queen Street as a Recovery Worker.
Queen Street is a mental health, supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access in their local community, including outreach support, peer support and supported housing. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.
In return for your skills and enthusiasm, this role comes with some really great benefits and excellent training and development opportunities.
Due to the nature of the role a driving licence and access to a car is recommended.
This is a permanent part-time role requiring the post holder to work 30 hours per week.
We are committed to increasing our diversity and welcome applications from those with Lived Experience.
This is a rolling recruitment process. Candidates will be interviewed as and when they are shortlisted.
To apply, please send a CV and covering letter via our website explaining why you feel you are right for the role.
On 1st June 2024, Richmond Fellowship, part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence merged with Humankind to form a single organisation that provides the joined-up mental health, housing and drug and alcohol support we’ve all known has been needed for decades.
