The Role
As CEO, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management and financial sustainability of the organisation. About the role
This role is available at an important time for The Access Project as we expand our mission, deliver a new programme model, and move into new school contexts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the skills for programme design and improvement, a strong interest in research, and a deep passion for our mission to support students to place and succeed at selective universities.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who is comfortable working across teams to make change. You’ll be the lead and expert on The Access Project’s in-school university readiness work with responsibility for designing and quality assuring the provision, supporting the learning and development of our front-line staff to effectively deliver the programme content. This position is integral to ensuring The Access Project is delivering a high-quality programme that supports the needs of our students and drives the outcomes of the programme across all regions and schools. The postholder will bring their knowledge of the HE sector and the experiences of our students to decisions about the direction of our own programme. They will also support further development of our programme-level Diversity and Inclusion work, to ensure that the programme is tailored where feasible to the needs of all students.
Role responsibilities
Design & Development
- Project manage and deliver our programme design process, leading the implementation of an agile, in-year approach to effectively iterate The Access Project’s Accelerate (2-year) programme.
- Lead the development of our self-paced online learning provision, incorporating learning from delivery and best practice from the sector.
- Work with the Head of Programme Development and Quality to incorporate University Access Officer, Programme Leadership, school, and student feedback on how to best drive short-term and long-term outcomes across our programmes.
- Project manage the implementation of changes driven out of programme design. This includes the creation of or changes to delivery resources and training materials, as well as our university readiness framework and the Salesforce system that supports delivery.
- Ensure we continue to update our long-standing Gateway (4-year) programme as part of standalone programme design project.
Research to inform programme design and quality
- Remain critically engaged with the widening participation/social mobility sector, and able to synthesise key changes/challenges and ensure that they are applicable/actionable by the organisation.
- Ensure that any relevant Widening Participate sector developments and trends are fed into The Access Project’s way of working. For example, this might be changes to resources for the programme or working with colleagues to communicate with students (e.g. plans for A Level Results Day).
- Provide nuanced insight about the WP/HE sector, with a coherent view of the landscape and how it’s changing, to enable The Access Project to make informed choices about our programme.
Quality Assurance
- Be responsible for the implementation of the university readiness strand of the quality assurance strategy, to drive the quality of the activities The Access Project delivers to young people in schools.
- Lead on the quality assurance of self-paced learning content, collaborating with Online Delivery colleagues to identify best practice and develop a comprehensive approach.
- Participate in The Access Project’s quality assurance processes, including performing drop-ins on University Access Officers, and coordinating with other members of the team to perform drop-ins in an efficient and effective manner.
- Embed learning from The Access Project’s quality assurance process into our standard practice. This will include training and development for University Access Officers and updates to resources and guidance for what best practice looks like.
- Contribute research on wider pedagogical best practice into our quality assurance work to ensure the highest quality in our delivery of educational programmes.
Student Voice
- Maximise student voice within programme design through varied feedback mechanisms, including the organisation and facilitation of regular student focus groups.
- Lead the development and administration of The Access Project’s annual student survey, considering the needs of key stakeholders across the organisation.
- Lead and develop The Access Project’s overarching student voice strategy.
- Continue to drive improvements in TAP’s student voice work through research and engagement with sector leaders.

Your new role
The role is an interim contract, expected to be for 6 months. The role will include:
- Assisting in the analysis of financial data, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the information provided for decision-making
- Supporting the development and maintenance of financial analytics tools, contributing to the improvement of data product delivery

ABOUT THE JOB
Job Purpose
We’re looking for an exemplary administrative and people-oriented person who will be administratively supporting the two Faculty Leads: the Director of Psychotherapy and the Director of Counselling. An important role in the organisation with responsibilities towards the Leadership Team.
An important member of the office team, working in a welcoming and supportive environment with opportunities to learn and grow on the job.
Main areas of work and responsibility
- Academic and Personal Administration Support to the Faculty Directors of Psychotherapy and Counselling
- Coordinate and support projects and workstreams the Directors Lead on: including overseeing and managing the Counselling and Psychotherapy programmes and faculties, quality assurance and reporting to accrediting bodies and Gestalt Centre membership and accreditation.
- Provide administrative support and coordination of the Gestalt Centre membership and membership cycles. Including UKCP reaccreditation processes: coordinate membership renewals and reaccreditation processes from beginning to end, liaise with members, maintain systems and update the membership Directory. In association with the Director of Psychotherapy and the Director of Counselling
- This role resides in the wider course\academic admin team and as/when directed is expected to support/liaise with the admissions and registration team.
- Organise, co-ordinate and provide administrative support for meetings with faculty, Gestalt Centre colleagues, UKCP, BACP, the university and exam Boards, and other external meetings as required in relation to the academic, membership or regulatory functions of GC. In association with the Director of Psychotherapy and the Director of Counselling
- Prepare meetings set up, information and any required papers in advance. Organise dates, taking and sending out minutes and coordinate follow-up actions ensuring progress and completion.
- Prepare, format, edit and update communications, presentations and reports for internal and external audiences to a high standard – including for meetings with the Faculties, the Executive, UKCP, BACP or the university.
- Work closely with both Directors on the production and content of the various Professional Training Programme Handbooks, including managing version control and ensuring accurate information within and to time.
- Provide a professional first and secondary point of contact and as and when required liaise with the Directors to respond to emails or phone calls and other communications, including the preparation of acknowledgement responses and follow-on actions.

- Wider office team support such as reception/admin cover or support with events – as and when occasionally required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will be friendly, approachable, and collaborative with a positive flexible ‘can do’ attitude. We are a small, dynamic and busy organisation and as you’ll be part of the Gestalt Centre family, you’ll need to be able to work well with the rest of the team and independently, on your own initiative as and when needed. You’ll extend your friendly manner to our students and clients as excellent customer service would be important to you. You’d also have a good eye for detail and be good with numbers as you’d also be working with databases and finance.

What you’ll deliver:
Membership
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will oversee a growth in GCT’s membership (targets to be agreed upon appointment) whilst ensuring our strong record of supporter retention is maintained, ensuring our members feel a valued part of protecting Galapagos.
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser and Communications team, you will develop and deliver high quality communications to members and tourism contacts, growing recruitment and ongoing engagement.

Role Particulars:
Working Pattern: This is a full-time position, requiring two day per week in London, typically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Due to the nature of this role, some travel and periods of working away from home will be necessary, as agreed in advance. The Strategic Director must be available for the annual leadership conference and the New Wine Festival, including the setup and teardown of these events.
Supervision: The post holder will receive regular supervision from their line manager to ensure ongoing support and development.
Role review: There is a three-month probationary period for this role. Following this, the post holder will undergo a quarterly rolling review of performance, the role, job description, terms, and package.

Lincolnshire Crisis Service have two houses in the county, one in Boston and another in Lincoln, we provide a range of support for people with mental ill health and both work to a recovery model. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards. This role does require you to work varied hours as the service is 24/7 and may include some sleep in shifts, these are paid in addition.

Strategy Development

Contribute to the design and management of a research strategy for the Living Wage Foundation, effectively planning a timeline of future projects that combines to grow the Foundation’s influence, intelligence and impact.

Build and manage projects and achieve work targets effectively

Conduct quantitative analysis of secondary datasets, including the Labour Force Survey, the Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings, the Family Resources Survey and Understanding Society.

This is a newly created role for a £1.5million turnover charity based in South West London. You will be joining a small team, reporting to Merton Connected's Finance Partner .
This is a part time role.
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 per annum (will be pro ratad for three days a week)
Hybrid: Going to their office based in Tooting / Mitcham once a week
Hours of work: 21 hours per week
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Preparing accounts upto Trail balance
- Assisting with Quarterly accounts
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks
- Liaising with external suppliers and customers
- Formulating and setting up supplier payment runs
- Preparing and Filing invoices, data entry
- Responsible for credit control
- Reviewing and posting staff and credit card expenses
- Managing all financial records and daily bookkeeping of the business
- Process Accounts Payable and ensure invoices are coded
- Preparing monthly Bank reconciliations and credit card transactions
