RBL receives thousands of calls for support every year from military veterans or their families. We operate 6 care homes and deliver support to those people living with dementia through our Admiral Nursing service. We also support the Invictus Games, have 180,000 members, almost 4000 Poppy Appeal Organisers and many thousands of Poppy Appeal volunteers.

Reporting to our Head of Safeguarding, key responsibilities will include:
- Support Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) to identify and escalate serious incidents
- Develop and implement effective working relationships across all directorates, specifically Legion Services (Recovery, Care, Services and Specialist Services etc.), membership and volunteer related activities to promote and establish a robust culture of safeguarding
- Act as a key advisor to DSL networks to enable them to meet regulatory and legislative requirements and effectively carry their accountability for Safeguarding practice across RBL
- Contribute to statistical reports to identify trends, emerging needs, future operational and strategic requirements
- Assist colleagues across all areas of RBL to ensure safeguarding data is inputted correctly onto approved systems.
This post is a Permanent Part Time opportunity, working 17.5 hours per week. Schedule of hours to be agreed between Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

NGAGE is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 and we provide information, education, advice, and support to young people concerning drug and alcohol use.
As Team Leader you will ensure good clinical practice and ensure the service operates within policy and statutory requirements. You will also provide induction, supervision, coaching and work and development reviews. In addition, you will:
- Deal with performance management issues
- Assist in the recruitment of team members and volunteers
- Develop and maintain effective liaison with commissioners and service providers
- Manage the budget for the service, ensuring appropriate recording and data reporting

Ideally you have:
- A professional qualification in health/social care, youth and community work, (e.g. NVQ Level 4 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).
- Proven experience of working in the substance misuse field and a commitment to complete further training as required
- Knowledge of drugs, alcohol and health-related issues, including interventions that are effective in supporting behaviour change
- Experience of staff supervision/management/training and demonstrable skills in partnership working (including voluntary and statutory services)
- A good understanding of safeguarding
- Good IT skills and a flexible can-do, person-centred approach.

About the role:
- Operational line management of a team of staff which includes supervision (with reflective practice), appraisal, performance and sickness management as well as ensuring staff follow CGL and external policies applicable to their roles

2.1 Support the Vicar in ensuring timely, appropriate and effective internal and external communications including the weekly e-mail and hard copy church notices.
2.2 Ensure that the website is regularly reviewed and updated, as required.

2.4 Respond to enquiries and requests from the Diocese, local community and external organizations, as required.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will provide proactive and inspiring management to a team of SOS caseworkers, where you will plan and support the team’s daily workload, monitor and review probation periods, conduct annual performance reviews and ongoing one-to-one throughout the year and review ongoing personal development plans and agree appropriate training. Role Purpose
ShelterBox is searching for an experienced humanitarian professional with previous programme management experience to join our agile and effective International Programmes Department. This is a transformational and impactful role. The successful candidate will manage urgent priority activities and international programmes/projects within a specific country, ensuring we deliver high quality, impactful outcomes at speed and scale for the people we support.
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Programme Manager will support the establishment and management of new and existing emergency and protracted ShelterBox programmes. Aligning with wider regional strategy, the Programme Manager will create and implement a longer-term strategic vision and direction for continuing support within their designated area of responsibility. They will also lead on strategic humanitarian relationships within this area to help maximise ShelterBox’s programme impact and influence.
This role will also work closely with the Programme Quality team, to continue to measure the quality and impact of our work. The Programme Manager will also support a programme funding strategy for their designated area of responsibility, working closely with the Programme Funding team in developing sustainable programmatic funding opportunities.
The role is expected to have a strong focus on Ethiopia and Burkina Faso, with other countries to be determined dependant on both existing portfolio and new emergencies. Regular travel is expected and we expect the successful candidate to be willing and able to undertake this travel.
The role will also encompass high-level relationship building and advocacy with partner organisations to consolidate the reputation and position of ShelterBox within the humanitarian sector.
French language is not an essential skill for this role, but French speaking candidates of level C1 or above will be favourably considered.

akt is the UK’s national LGBTQ Youth Homelessness charity. Job Summary
