As Director of Services and Grants, you will be responsible for ensuring that our multi-channel services and grants programme serve and improve the lives of older people, reach those who are most likely to be in poverty, and have the maximum impact.  You will help us grow our capacity, build our network of charity and commercial partnerships, develop our external training offer, and reach more people including those groups most likely to experience financial hardship. 

Having operated at a senior level, ideally as part of a Senior Leadership Team, you will be an inspiring leader with a demonstrable passion for our cause.  Experienced in successfully managing service transformation and development, including in a contact centre environment, you will also have an understanding of grants programmes, and of building strategic partnerships and national networks.  With an understanding of demonstrating and reporting on impact, experience of supporting fundraising for services and bidding for contracts, you will ideally also have knowledge of developing an external training offer.

This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, which you can choose to work over five days a week or a 9-day fortnight.

What the job involves

As a Policy and Health Influencing Officer, you’ll be helping deliver impactful changes that measurably improve men’s experience in their access to and quality of prostate cancer diagnosis, treatment, care and support. You’ll be joining a multi-disciplinary team which also includes volunteers and partners all working towards the same aims.

You’ll be supporting complex and politically sensitive projects to drive change across the UK’s health services and other providers at local, regional and national levels. Bringing together your knowledge and experience of engaging with stakeholders, on a one-to-one and mass level basis, you’ll effect change by utilising effective tools and approaches and deliver projects or campaigns achieving our strategic aims.

Through building relationships with health services and systems you’ll be able to understand the obstacles to improving care and work collaboratively with others to help overcome these. As part of your role, you’ll also be developing resources for campaigning, influencing and policy work using a host of digital tools (including social media and online channels). By keeping up to date with health news and the changing environment in all areas relating to prostate cancer will help to influence your work.

What we want from you

We’re looking for an excellent communicator, you’ll be communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external at all levels. With an excellent knowledge of UK health services, policy and systems you’ll understand how they operate politically, financially and clinically. Using these skills, you’ll have experience in influencing strategic partnerships and building relationships with those that can influence healthcare matters and bring about change improving the experience of men.

You’ll have project management experience with the ability to gain engagement with health, political and public stakeholders. In addition, you’ll have experience in working on change campaigns which involve public participation using social media and online channels.

Although not essential for the role, it would be beneficial if you have experience in either driving service improvements, interventions to improve health outcomes, developing and influencing local or national policies or engaging with politicians to deliver campaign objectives.

The Centre for Computing History is an accredited museum and charity situated in Cambridge, with collections and learning at its heart. The museum's core purpose is to increase understanding of the history of computing by exploring its social, cultural and historical impact.

Our collection rightly celebrates the incredible evolution of computing technology. However, the museum also has a responsibility to recognise the ecological impact of the rise of technology, and to date we have not explored these stories. We are excited to have secured funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, for an exciting new two-year project, Broken Tech : Broken Earth. Role Summary 

We're now seeking a talented, energetic and efficient Project Coordinator to oversee this exploratory project. 

The Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, aims to encourage participatory practice in museums, and this concept lies at the heart of this project. Participatory practice means involving visitors and communities in the creation and interpretation of museum exhibitions, programs, and events content – asking for stories about objects in the collection, rather than assuming we know what the most important stories are. This approach is inclusive, encourages visitors to feel ownership and helps museums discover untold stories about their collections.

We are looking for someone special to co-ordinate this process and exploit our unique platform to raise awareness of environmental issues and e-waste and to create change. The Project Co-ordinator will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Broken Earth Project, including working closely with all external and internal stakeholders, monitoring progress, and ensuring project milestones are met. This new fixed-term role is a critical part of the project and crucial to its success. 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

• Strong interest in conservation, ecology and promoting a circular economy

As a Young Adult Intervention Coach (YIC), you will be responsible for the assessment and implementation of tailored intervention coaching plans for each at risk young person on your caseload. You will work to achieve progression outcomes for each young person that includes reducing mental, physical, and emotional harm and supporting each young person transition to positive, thriving lifestyle both on a one-to-one basis, and in partnership with other individuals and agencies involved in the lives of each young person.

Your purpose is to identify, disrupt, challenge, and support young people to move out of harm and prevent further involvement in harmful activities. This will involve targeted street work, specialised one to one harm reduction and life skills coaching. 

Alongside this you will work with intervention frontline colleagues in tertiary intervention such as knife and gun crime crisis situations as well as working with partner agencies.

You will have robust frontline experience of working with young people, including experience in engaging, assessing, and delivering interventions designed to support young people to build personal resilience and move away from harm and violence. You will also possess sound risk assessment skills and safeguarding knowledge.  A key component of the job role is case management and knowledge of good practice models, which will underpin their practice, is essential.

We work within a coordinated partnership response to violence against women and girls as part of the Angelou Partnership. Within the partnership ADVANCE provides independent domestic abuse advocacy and support for women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse.

The IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process specialising in working with clients at high risk. They will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from aged 13, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. They will advise women on criminal justice and civil remedies and related matters, support women to attend court where necessary, and coordinate the provision of multi-agency support. Part of the role will to be to establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with services providing services to clients and partner agencies within the Angelou Partnership. As a Core IDVA will work across the boroughs mentioned above, under the guidance of the team leaders and project manager.

To be successful as the Core IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:

To be successful as a Core IDVA, you’ll need to have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector. As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic abuse, of supporting women involved in mental health services, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

The Regional Adoptions Facilitator will be instrumental in streamlining our adoption services to maximise the number of horses we can help by 2026! 

More about the role

As Regional Adoption Facilitator, you'll collaborate with centre-based Adoptions Coordinators to swiftly execute the Blue Cross strategy, focusing on efficient horse adoption services, including home direct placements. You'll oversee the post-adoption process in your region, ensuring smooth ownership transfers after successful loan periods to expedite horse rehoming and optimize space for new cases.

Each day you will be conducting thorough home checks and visits—both in-person and virtually—for borrowers to uphold welfare standards and address any issues promptly. Collaborating with the Rehabilitation, Trainer, and Behaviour Advisor (RTBA), you'll manage challenging horse behaviours to support successful home placements. You'll also facilitate home direct rehoming initiatives, making critical decisions to match horses with suitable owners based on your expertise and ensuring ongoing support post-adoption.

To expand our impact, you'll recruit and manage a network of volunteers, including a regional volunteer manager, for home direct assessments and checks. This includes coordinating visits and appointments, fostering partnerships with external charities aligned with our home direct efforts.

Providing excellent client experiences is essential, ensuring every interaction covers all necessary information for successful matching and adopting horses into loving homes.

This is a home-based post with extensive travel. The nature of the post will require the coordinator to demonstrate considerable flexibility in arranging their work schedule and time allocation. This will include some weekend and evening work. Due to the nature of the charity’s work, it may be necessary to exceed these hours when the workload demands. The Regional Adoptions Facilitator will be required to use their own car in carrying out their duties and will be reimbursed for business mileage as appropriate. 

This is a part-time role working 26.25 hours over four days per week on a rota which includes weekends and bank holidays.  This role involves extensive travel covering areas such as Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire and across to Norfolk.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

In this pivotal role, you will support the Head of HR and Volunteer Services in providing a high quality operational HR service across the organisation to employees, line managers, and trustees.

The successful candidate will be an HR generalist with the ability to oversee our day to day HR processes. About the role:

This role is based in Rochdale Police station along with some hybrid working, you must be prepared to travel across the borough of Rochdale.

As a CYP IDVA you will deliver specialist and enhanced support to Children and Young People aged 4-17 who have experienced Domestic Violence Abuse in the home. You will be responsible for providing high quality interventions to children & young people affected by DVA through the development of individually tailored & risk assessed support and safety plans. You will offer support through one-to-one sessions to address issues of self-esteem, manage emotions and feelings of blame and responsibility with the aim to improve understanding of abusive behaviour, healthy relationships and conflict resolution.

You will need:

To conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each CYP receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.

To advocate on behalf of children and young people with experience of domestic abuse to ensure the diverse needs of children and young people using the service are met.

Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.

The ability to review the assessment of risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate and immediate action is taken in respect of any CYP facing significant harm, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes as required given the legal framework relating to the protection of children and the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.

To establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, with the intention of supporting children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse. Attend meetings as required.

Ideally a background in Social Worker, Domestic Abuse or Children & Young People services would be advantageous.

The Role

The Programme Funding Manager provides cross-team support to strengthen the organisation’s funding and budget management functions and ensure the successful delivery of GGF’s grantmaking and other programmatic activities. This includes collaborating with multiple teams within GGF UK and GGF US including the Programmes, Grants Management, Finance and Philanthropic Partnerships teams, to design and implement systems, processes and improvements to ensure high quality budget management and high standards of donor and regulatory compliance across all funded activity.

The candidate profile

The ideal candidate for this role will have substantial experience in a similar capacity within charitable, environmental, development, social justice, feminist, gender, or human rights organisations, particularly in an international setting. They will be adept at enhancing collaboration across multiple functional teams, including those operating internationally, to ensure effective and compliant funding and budget management, especially with restricted income. The candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in designing, managing, and refining systems and processes for better budget management and donor compliance in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Their experience should include managing large, multi-year programmatic budgets exceeding $5 million and ensuring adherence to donor agreements and regulatory requirements, such as those of the Charity Commission.

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.  

The Research team is at the heart of our efforts to learn what works and put it into practice. We do this by commissioning research (including qualitative research, systematic reviews of intervention evidence and data analysis), and using this research to write and publish guidance across YEF’s sectors of interest.

We would be especially interested to hear from you if:   

• You know a lot about policing and/or youth justice: You know the key ideas and debates, recent policy developments and key people. You’re comfortable talking about policing and/or youth justice with experts. There are many ways to acquire this knowledge. You might have worked in the police or youth justice, in associated organisations, or learnt about either during a degree. 

The Senior Research Manager will: 

• Lead the development of evidence-based recommendations in policing. 

• Lead the development of the YEF’s strategy and research agenda on policing and youth justice. 

• Become the YEF’s expert on policing and youth justice. 

• Develop great relationships with experts and represent YEF in external meetings and events. 

• Work with our Change Team to produce resources and accessible summaries for policing and youth justice colleagues on the evidence.

• Produce accessible summaries of YEF evaluation reports that can be used by policy makers, practitioners and service commissioners.
