As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:
· Managing a caseload offering Advocacy and Advice to D/deaf and Disabled people with a range of impairments. This includes seeing clients through virtual appointments as well as face to face appointments at Reals Offices, partner offices, GP surgery’s or as home visits.
· Promoting Advocacy and Advice across the borough
· Working within Real’s quality frameworks; Real holds the Quality Practice Mark for Advocacy and the Advice Quality Standard.
· Supporting the Coordinator with monitoring and evaluating the service and overall service delivery
Working under the guidance of the Advocacy Coordinator, you'll champion the rights of Disabled individuals, addressing issues spanning social care, housing, health, finances, and more.

Employment Details
Contract type
This contracted post is for 28 hours per week and may very rarely require some out of hours or weekend work as required. We welcome application for flexible working including reduced hours and other flexible working arrangements.
Location
We support hybrid working to suit our team. When in the office, the post holder will be based at Russia Lane but some travel across east London may be required to meet the needs of the service.
Salary
Between £31,930 and £35,020 pa pro rata for part time. Plus 5% employer pension contribution.
We have recently introduced a salary bands system. This salary range refers to the lowest and top steps of the grade. Salary will progress every year until the top salary is reached.
Holiday entitlement
25 days (pro-rata for contracted hours) of paid holiday per year plus bank holidays. This increases after two years of service to 27 days, and then a further one day per every year of service up to a maximum of 30 days after five years of service. In addition, all employees are entitled to one day off on (or around) their Birthday.
Conditions of employment

What the job involves
We’re looking for a People Operations Advisor to join our People Team on a fixed term basis. This is a great opportunity to work with a wide range of colleagues across the Charity and get to see firsthand the work carried out, to create a world where no man dies from prostate cancer.
You’ll work with managers and Heads of departments to help successfully manage, develop and retain the best people to deliver our ambitious strategic objectives. You’ll provide operational HR advice and guidance, working collaboratively to support our colleagues and management teams through a range employee life cycle activities as well as employee relations cases such probation, absence, conduct, capability, performance including flexible working.
Working with the People Partner and Operations Manager, you’ll evaluate each situation that arises using a tiered approach to case management, escalating higher tiered or complex cases to them and/or the wider People Partner team.
As a People Operations Advisor your role will support embedding good people practices across all of our directorates. Proactively contributing to the development and delivery of our planned HR programmes, including the creating and improvement of policies, procedures and guidance to ensure alignment with employment legislation and our organisational culture, values and ways of working.
You’ll contribute to the inputting and accuracy of People Data into the HRIS system, preparing and collating HR metrics and trend information for the People Partners for business reporting.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a people focused, self-motivated, HR professional, who is experienced in building effective relationships with their team, managers, and employees; comfortable in providing guidance and support employee relations issues. You’ll be CIPD qualified (level 5 of studying towards this) or with experience working at this level. You’ll have strong people skills and integrity, be able to communicate well with others and quickly build credibility. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and experience of administering and maintaining accurate records and dealing with contracts and contract changes. You may be required to support in facilitating HR training sessions and workshops.

About the role
We’re looking for a Human Resources Advisor with strong experience in employee relations and policy development to join our People Team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the HR Business Partners and act as the escalation point from our People Operations Team, offering comprehensive, pragmatic people advisory services across the organisation. Main Roles

Specific Duties

We are looking to recruit an Immigration Advisor to provide tailor-made advice to individual clients and to engage them in the process of making informed choices about their future direction. This is an exciting role in our Immigration Team that will work closely with the team to ensure that the centre is able to provide confidential OISC Level 2 and 3 advice and representation, whilst providing support and training to colleagues working at Level 1. The role is pivotal in providing highly skilled legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients across London at no cost to the individual. This is particularly important at a time where free or low-cost advice is becoming harder to find.
If you have the IAAS senior caseworker accreditation, you will be the key advisor with regards to Legal Aid work, including prioritising Legal Aid cases and ensuring that Legal Aid is used whenever appropriate throughout the team.

We are looking to recruit a Housing Advisor to provide a structured advice and information service to clients of the centre in housing law, housing options and aspects of welfare benefits that relate to housing and homelessness. This is an exciting role in our Advice team that will manage a specialist housing caseload and provide emergency housing advice to clients in crisis. You will work closely with other teams in the centre to ensure clients are offered an integrated holistic service. You will also build and maintain good relationships with statutory and other partners and to work together with them to get the best outcomes for our clients and to monitor unmet need locally so that this can be addressed.
This is just one of the new posts we are recruiting as part of a new project to support families experiencing homelessness in and around Westminster. It follows a report we published last year on the lived experience of families living in temporary accommodation. We are delighted to have secured funding to help us build on this research and pilot different approaches to reach those most in need. We want to develop support that not only meets emergency needs but can enable longer term outcomes. Our aim is to build the case for positive change and reduce future rates of homelessness and poverty. In this role you can play a part in designing, testing and evidencing different approaches with a team of colleagues that cross different advice specialisms and professional family support.

Overview of Role:
As Human Resources Advisor you will be joining a small, friendly and supportive HR team providing advice and support to managers and staff across the full range of employee life-cycle activities. This is a maternity cover post, so is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months. As this is a short-term contract, we are looking for someone with HR experience at this level who can also embody our culture as a charity with a Christian ethos.
You will provide HR advice and support, to our Centres of Mission (CoM) (which are local projects run in partnership with Diocese to share the Good News of Jesus); our central services team in Sheffield known as Co.Lab; and our Sheffield based conference centre and accommodation.
