You will plan impactful strategic country visits and engagement in multilateral spaces, working closely with stakeholders in the ‘Big 6’ youth organisations, National Award Operators and diplomatic contacts to plan targeted engagements that can help shift the dial on support for non-formal education and learning at a global and country level. You will lead on briefing for Foundation and country representatives to equip them as effective advocates around these engagements.

We are a friendly, passionate, multi-disciplinary team of 11 people working to create fair access to work for people in their 50s and 60s. We run the Age-friendly Employer Pledge, pilot projects to test out new models of employment support and undertake high-level policy analysis and influencing.

The Research and Evaluation Manager is core to this work. You will be the research lead in the team – managing the research and evaluation activity that generates the strong evidence base we are known for.

About you

We would like someone who has been involved in the nitty gritty of evaluation research, balancing an interest in the technical sides of answering evaluation questions with an awareness of the practical challenges of doing so. It would be great if you had experience on the research commissioning side, but you could still have the right skills if you have only worked within a contracted research team.

We would like you to have good experience of qualitative research and secondary research. You need to be comfortable with numbers and basic data analysis, but you don’t need to be a quantitative specialist (as we have one of those).

We want you to have some experience working on policy-oriented research and developing policy recommendations. You need to be motivated by change, as well as understanding the problem. You will be a line manager in this role. Line management experience is a desirable attribute – but it is essential you can demonstrate that you have supported other people to deliver their work.

The Communications Manager leads the development of our brand and public-facing messaging to engage our audiences in the global impact of the Award. You will be responsible for managing the Charity Next Secondment Programme ( a collaborative partnership between the Civil Service Fast Stream and Charities, Not for Profit's and Academia) working collaboratively to maximise secondment engagement between the sectors. You will also manage inwards secondments to member organisations as well as working on and developing new concepts, programmes and solutions to maximise porosity and knowledge sharing. You will work closely with other departments and the wider team to develop and increase both the volume and impact of secondment initiatives. You will do this by leveraging your data-driven and research approach as well as evidencing your strong relationship and stakeholder development skills.

What we’re looking for: 

• Prior experience as a programme manager, project manager or similar, client-facing role with a demonstrable track record of excellent customer service.

• Demonstrable experience in delivering successful and effective business development strategies - with strong outcomes.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral, independent organisation ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for people affected by armed conflict and other violence. The regional delegation for the UK and Ireland builds support for the ICRC’s global operations and furthers understanding of international humanitarian law (IHL).

We are looking for a multi-skilled, energetic and creative communications manager to join our busy London office. The ideal post holder will be able to produce compelling copy, handle media enquiries and shape our social media content. They will work closely with colleagues in the small London communications team and within the wider global network to effectively profile the work of the ICRC to audiences in the UK & Ireland and beyond. Produce engaging multimedia content that showcases the work of the regional delegation, its operational priorities and highlights the ICRC’s global activities.

Are you passionate about driving impactful medical research? We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Impact Officer who will assist in the monitoring and evaluation of the Medical Research Foundation’s research to ensure our funded projects make a real-world difference.

Reporting to our Senior Research Impact Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping us to achieve our mission to drive the life-changing advances of tomorrow by laying the foundations for ground-breaking new discoveries today. We know that many health conditions are overlooked and underfunded, that new health threats will continue to arise, and that there will always be a need for high-quality, high impact medical research.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Coordinate the monitoring of the research portfolio by providing day-to day administration and processing annual and end-of-grant reports.
• Support the ongoing evaluation projects, and other data collection points such are interviews with grant holders.
• Assist with the on-going development of grant monitoring tools
• Contribute to reports on impact reporting for our Board of Trustees and wider external audiences.
• Work closely with the Communications team to produce a regular research/researcher case studies.
• Work with the Fundraising team to contribute to materials to tell the stories of the impact of our research to help to raise funds for new research.

You are a motivated and enthusiastic colleague who will help us monitor a diverse research portfolio. You have excellent analytical and communication skills, you are well organised and have the ability to prioritise and work on various projects concurrently. You will use your scientific knowledge to understand the science behind the projects and will develop a detailed understanding of the outputs and impact arising from the research we fund to help communicate their impact. Our offer

We will offer a salary of £32,000-£35,000 dependent on experience for a full-time 36-hour week and double-matched pension contributions up to 10% max employer contribution.  We would like a full-time employee but are happy to consider a part-time contract (min 0.8 FTE).  We offer 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata) per year, excellent financial, health and social benefits and an opportunity to join a dedicated team making a difference to human health.  We value spending time working in-person to develop strong connections with each other and with our mission, so you will be based at our central London office for a minimum of three days a week with the option to work remotely for the remainder.
