About the role:
As a Team Leader you will lead a team of Independent Victim Advisors ( caseworkers) providing support to victims across the county. You will hold a small caseload but your main focus will be on the performance management of direct line reports including the allocation/ auditing of cases and the collation of service performance reports, measuring KPIs and quality compliance. You will need a good understanding of the criminal justice sector and able to work collaboratively with partners to achieve the best outcomes for victims. Community Engagement Coordinator - Wales
Location: The role will be based out of the BookTrust Offices in Cardiff. BookTrust works in a hybrid and flexible way with an expectation of a minimum of 8 face to face collaboration days per month which could be at the Cardiff office, visiting partners across Wales and on occasions UK wide travel. The Philanthropy Officer will be a vital member of the high performing Philanthropy team, responsible for both hands-on fundraising as well as providing prospect research and administrative support. You will be responsible for proactively identifying and researching new supporters, coordinating introductory letters to newly established trust and foundations, processing income, thanking donors, ensuring accurate and compliant data keeping, and providing administrative support.

Key duties and responsibilities
The post holder will:
1. Coordinate the monthly small trusts mailing programme, refreshing mailing lists and ensuring communications are tailored and compelling.
2. Manage a small caseload of higher value supporters and prospects, ranging across trusts, foundations and individuals, and raise income by initiating and developing meaningful and enduring relationships to support Mind's charitable delivery.
3. With a range of tools, help build a strong and up to date pipeline of appropriate funders for the wider team by identifying and qualifying new prospects.
4. Manage the thanking process for unsolicited gifts and donations, ensuring personalised, timely and sensitive communication with funders.
5. Work closely with Income and Operations, Finance and CRM and Data teams to ensure all donations are processed in a timely and accurate way, have correct income codes, resolve income queries, transfers and discrepancies and ensure that the team receives timely reports in the appropriate format.
6. Input into annual and quarterly phasing of income: setting ambitious financial ask targets for donors and prospects in your caseload, carefully monitoring and reporting on progress of income, assessing risk to the budget to inform current and future financial years, and working to mitigate any loss of income.
7. Where required, help with ad-hoc prospect research and due diligence requests, completing and refreshing research profiles, using external resources and databases.
8. Provide support on stewardship event activities including coordination of guest lists, writing guest profiles, recording invites and activity on the database.
9. Support and coordinate team communications, including writing and reviewing copy for impact reports, newsletters, thank you letters and annual review mailings.
10. Ensure Mind's database has accurate and up to date records which adhere to Data Protection requirements and produce reports as required to help senior officers and managers analyse pipeline movement and income projection.
11. Undertake the accurate recording and maintenance of donor records on the database (Microsoft Dynamics), and other systems, adhering to business rules and protocols, Data Protection and Fundraising Regulations.
12. Stay informed of Philanthropy trends across the sector, actively participating in fundraising networking groups and bringing ideas to inform Mind's philanthropy activity.
13. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal contacts across departments such as External Relations, Mind Cymru and local Minds as appropriate.

About the role:
This role is a hybrid role with home working allowed twice per week. Your home office would be Chandlers Ford, however you would be expected to travel regularly to offices in both Basingstoke and Southampton. Travel expenses would be paid for these. As a Team Leader you will be:

Our client is looking for a conscientious and organised individual to provide exceptional support as part of their fundraising and training team. You will assist in the coordination of several key projects and ensure professional administrative support is provided to their External Training Lead and the Fundraising Lead. Their External Training team deliver courses like Mental Health First Aid to over 2,000 people per year. In the last five years they have also raised nearly £1m through fundraising, which they are able to invest in key services. You will be integral in supporting both these areas to achieve their strategy as a charity. In this varied role, no two days will be the same, from supporting at fundraising events, to booking people into training courses or responding to invoicing and finance requests. You’ll feel at ease working on multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to new challenges and providing excellent administrative support
You’ll have experience within an administration or coordination role, with good IT skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with the ability to manipulate data, export information and present information in a logical format. You will be responsible for co-ordinating sessions across the region in care home settings and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across Somerset. You will have responsibility for the set up and running of these sessions and have good local knowledge of Somerset in order to seek new opportunities for delivery of our RNID Near You services.
We are looking to appoint a motivated person with a keen interest in supporting people with their hearing loss. While you will be home based, there will be regular travel to venues where we will provide sessions in care home settings.
You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals and service users. You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/weekends if required. You are able to physically assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, giving clear guidance and taking into account individual wishes and health needs.
You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.

Are you passionate about supporting older people to develop and maintain their physical wellbeing? We are looking to recruit an Exercise at Home Coordinator, sitting within the Wellbeing & Connections team, to deliver a programme of activities that can support older people with mobility challenges through exercise at home.
The desired candidate will have a Level Three Fitness Qualification (PT) and will assist clients to gain confidence through movement, including chair-based exercise, and walking support for older frail clients in their home. The role is pivotal in enabling people with chronic conditions to become more active, and for people who have temporarily lost mobility to regain the confidence to walk. To ensure the ongoing effectiveness of this programme offer, the role will include training and supporting volunteers.
Role functions:
- Running our Exercise at Home programme – assessing new clients in their homes, prescribing exercise programmes for clients that align with their needs and goals, training volunteers to deliver the programmes, and managing the day-to-day running of the project.
- Delivering walking support sessions - these will be tailored to be accessible by those who have either recovered from a fall or have had surgery and need the confidence to access the community. These sessions will enable people to increase their mobility, whilst also having an opportunity to socialise with others in the local community. Training volunteers to assist clients with walking support will be a key part of the role.
- Co-ordinating other community-based physical wellbeing activities, including our monthly Flaneur Walks during the warmer months, and any new projects that arise.
- Networking with relevant local bodies, NHS trusts, GP clinics, and social services to make them aware of the services we provide and to strengthen our presence in the field.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and have at least one year’s experience of working with older people. A Level Three Fitness qualification is compulsory and a qualification in delivering exercise programmes for those with mobility issues would be advantageous.
