Pancreatic Cancer Action are excited to be seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Supporter Care and Fundraising Co-Ordinator to join our fabulous Fundraising Team.  This is a varied role where no two days will be the same.

Our incredible supporters are at the heart of all that we do at Pancreatic Cancer Action. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with our fantastic supporters daily. Providing them with the tools, knowledge and materials they need to help reach and exceed their fundraising targets. From head shaves to cake sales, dress-down days to extreme sports. You will be the first point of call for all fundraising enquiries and be on hand to provide bespoke stewardship support to ensure we develop long-lasting relationships with our PCA community, groups and companies across the UK.

 

Main responsibilities:  

• Provide admin and operational support to the Fundraising Team
• Accurately record and manage data using the Salesforce CRM system.
• Ensure that fundraisers and supporters get timely correspondents by email or phone.
• Inspire supporters through innovative new stewardship ideas, sending out relevant materials and offering support and advice to enhance their event/fundraising.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing supporters, helping them to exceed their fundraising targets and inspiring them to become life-long supporters.
• Update all event portals with fundraising details and complete the registration process on time.
• Monitor and input data from various fundraising platforms onto our Salesforce database to ensure accurate reporting on income from events/fundraising.
• Take ownership of fundraising tracker to ensure first class stewardship is provided to all supporters.
• Supporting community-based fundraising volunteers and groups.
• Work collaboratively with the fundraising and marketing team to ensure that email templates, cards and certificates remain up to date and relevant to our audiences.
• Work with the fundraising team to identify ways to surprise and delight our fundraisers and ultimately build long term relationships with a consistent approach.
• Support in the planning and implementation of fundraising events, products and campaigns
• Work across various fundraising streams such as community and events fundraising, Individual giving, In memory and corporate fundraising.

The successful role holder will proactively assist sports clubs in developing sports participation opportunities and performance pathways for identified target groups through development planning.

This a full time and permanent role. This role is also a hybrid working role with a minimum of 40% office-based, but at certain times of the year we will need the post holder on site much more than that.

St Hilda’s East has a 135-year history of combating deprivation and social exclusion in East London. As our Alumni Relations Lead you will:

Role - Zero Hours Children's Resource Worker

TACT South West are looking for a children's resource worker to collaborate with them to support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people across this TACT region. 

The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young  people who have experienced significant traumas as a result of adverse childhood experiences. Dad Matters is a PAIR (Parent and Infant Relationship) project specifically for Dads during the peri-natal period (conception to a child’s 2nd birthday). Primarily the project aims to raise awareness amongst dads, the wider community, and other professionals of the importance of:

Home-Start Manchester already has a robust Dad Matters project offer running across the city as well as the ‘Universal offer’.

This role aims to widen the projects impact by reaching more Dads This will involve increasing participation in classes and events and delivering 1-1 support to dads referred into the service. The role will be supported by and be part of the wider Dad Matters team as well as being part of Home-Start Manchester. Responsibilities will include directing dads to appropriate services, offering practical guidance for baby preparation and care, bonding and attachment and providing empathetic support.

Weekly hours can be worked flexibly to support home/work life balance. Hours can be worked both in the office and at home, whilst meeting the need of the service. The role will require travel across all Manchester communities. It is desirable that applicants have use of their own car, for which expenses are paid. A DBS (Enhanced Level) will be required.

We have an opportunity to work on a new project as our Befriending Development Coordinator.

You will work closely with Greenwich residents aged 50 years + and other relevant stakeholders to enable a programme of services, events and activities which seek to improve their health and wellbeing. It will target those who are lonely, isolated, and living in disadvantaged parts of the borough.

This post is based in our offices at Sherard Road in Eltham but will involve work across the borough of Greenwich so the ability to travel easily is important.

We are seeking to recruit a Suicide Prevention Therapist to support men in suicidal crisis at our centre in Liverpool. We are looking for an experienced mental health professional or therapist with demonstrable interest in suicide prevention. We will work with you and train you to develop your therapeutic skills to offer our collaborative semi-structured psychologically informed intervention. You will support the centre user and their supporter(s) to recover from the suicidal crisis and maintain their safety. You will report to a Senior Suicide Prevention Therapist.

This appointment is part of our growth as a charity. The successful candidate will join an experienced supportive team and will gradually build a caseload supporting four men in suicidal crisis per day to meet the growth of referral partnerships and increased awareness raising in Liverpool.

The Charity

James’ Place exists to stop men dying by suicide. We opened our first centre in 2018 in Liverpool, the first of its kind in the UK, in 2022 we launched our second centre in London, and this year we opened our third centre in Newcastle. To date, we have supported over 1500 men and delivered over 7000 sessions of our life-saving intervention. James’ Place is a therapy centre for men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis, and it was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. It offers men a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.   

Building on the success of our centres in Liverpool, London, and Newcastle, we are now expanding our model to reach more men in suicidal crisis. Our aim is to have five centres open across England by 2026.

About the role

We are recruiting for two experienced and proactive Administrative Assistants. As part of these exciting roles, you will support the respective Global Directors by enabling them to operate at the highest level towards achieving our strategic objectives. These roles involve comprehensive administrative support, effective time management, and coordination of various activities and events with a high level of accuracy. As an Assistant to Global Directors, some of the key duties and responsibilities of the position will be to organise and manage busy diaries, arranging travel, meetings, and events, ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place, including scheduling and coordinating other internal and external engagements. Additionally, you will be responsible for processing expenses and suppliers, supporting project administration, and maintaining databases (Salesforce). You will play a crucial part in
ensuring effective communication and logistical coordination across internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the organisation's mission of advocating for global farm animal welfare and ending factory farming worldwide.

About the hours

Part-time hours of .5 per week, working hours are flexible and these can be worked either across the week (5 or 4 days) or as 3 full days. Please note, that although part-time positions, there will be occasions when full-day or multi-day in-person support will be required, both at HQ and offsite for events and meetings.

About you

To succeed as an Assistant to our Global Directors, you will need to demonstrate strong administrative organisational skills, and be able to efficiently manage complex schedules, while meticulously coordinating travel logistics, researching travel, and orchestrating meetings and events, with excellent attention to detail. Your effective communication abilities, both verbal and written, will play a critical role in handling correspondence, managing expenses, and preparing comprehensive notes and project support. You will need to have a proactive, methodical approach to supporting project administration, be able to prioritise and maintain accurate databases, with the ability to work with flexibility, proactivity, with minimal supervision, recording and reporting regularly on progress and completed tasks. You’ll have a collaborative spirit, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse
international teams, while anticipating the needs of Directors and key stakeholders.

Role Purpose

You will work alongside the Strategic Projects Manager to provide flexible and high-quality project management and administrative support to the Senior Management Team, working across THET’s programmatic, operations, policy, and advocacy work.

THET is experiencing an exciting time of growth, and you, alongside the Strategic Projects Manager, will play a critical role in supporting this growth to be managed well, and in ways that allow colleagues to maintain a focus on existing projects and programmes.

The Strategic Projects unit focuses on new and emerging areas of work which require close collaboration with staff across the organisation, and to use creative thinking, sound project management and administrative skills. Recently completed work ranges from providing interim programme and events management support to THET’s Experts In Our Midst programme, to project management and coordination support to the UK-Africa Health Summit. Work is now starting on initiatives to tackle the organisational change we see at THET, such as strengthening recruitment and induction processes, and improving our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion approach.

To be successful in this role, you will be a fast learner, get things done and excel in working across teams as well as managing a varied portfolio of work. You will be a strategic thinker with an ability to manage complex problems in situations with significant uncertainty.

Main Responsibilities

1. To provide high-quality project management support for new and emerging areas of work, responding flexibility to opportunities and needs as agreed with the Senior Management Team and Strategic Projects Manager.

2. To broker cross-organisational collaboration with the wider staff team to deliver on these projects and manage the effective handover of responsibility to those teams at appropriate moments.

3. To flex across projects and programmes during pinch points to provide extra capacity to team members where necessary.

4. To provide sound administrative support to the Senior Management Team and Strategic Projects Manager, undertaking research, planning and on occasion, logistical support as needed.

5. To liaise with a range of senior external stakeholders in the UK and overseas in the delivery of strategic projects.

6. To provide coordination support to key events in THET’s events cycle, when additional capacity is required.

Possible initiatives coming up over the next six months include:

· Developing and delivering defined Organisational growth initiatives;

· Supporting THET’s Mid-Term Strategy review;

· Developing organisational or project Standard Operating Procedures;

· Supporting SMT on the delivery of organisation-wide moments (such as the Staff Away Day, Country Director Annual Meetings)

· Supporting the planning and delivery of the THET conference and UK-Africa Health Summit;
