You will report to the Director of Policy and Impact, and will be responsible for designing and delivering a compelling communications strategy to grow Demos’ profile, reach and external impact. You will be excited by the opportunity to work on some of the most pressing and complex policy challenges, such as national renewal, growth and mission-led government, ensuring Demos’ voice is heard by the audiences that matter most to us, including MPs, journalists, civil society organisations, and industry.
Line managing our Content and Production Officer to provide high-quality design and content production support across our project work, you will be experienced working across media, socials and in-house channels (e.g. newsletters) to create and respond to opportunities for impact. A skilled storyteller, you will write, edit, coordinate and publish content across multiple channels, ensuring consistent, distinctive tone of voice and strong and clear narrative in the crowded communications spaces we work in.
You will bring keen understanding of the power of brand, including visual identity, to drive impact, and will be confident using data and analytics to inform and improve our communications strategy.

Ex Cathedra is a world-class ensemble that leads the choral sector in the fields of performance, learning and wellbeing. Key responsibilities
The Individual Giving Manager will contribute towards Ex Cathedra’s ongoing sustainability and success by maximising philanthropic income:
Strategy and research
• build, maintain and continually seek to expand a pipeline of prospects capable of making gifts at a high 4-, 5- and 6-figure level, making sure that all progress is tracked, monitored and reviewed on a routine basis
• explore our existing data to identify major gift prospects, working in line with data protection law and fundraising regulations
Individual giving
• work closely with the General Manager and Individual Giving Officer to further develop and implement strategies that will increase major gifts and legacy donations to Ex Cathedra, dovetailing with the Trusts and Foundations consultant where appropriate
• arrange and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects and donors to help build and progress meaningful relationships through regular dialogue
• use their judgement to involve the artistic director, trustees and colleagues where most beneficial/advantageous
• align prospective donors with high-value funding opportunities for the performance programme, education and participation work, or area of greatest need according to the interests of the donor
• promote and encourage giving towards the establishment of an Endowment Fund that will provide long-term financial sustainability for the organisation
• meet agreed targets for activity (i.e. number of prospect meetings and solicitations) and income generation (i.e. funds raised)
• personally manage the portfolio of higher level donors and prospective donors.
Communications
• manage the delivery of specific appeals to prospects and donors
• work with the General Manager and freelance designer to devise and produce materials in support of Ex Cathedra’s fundraising aims
• create and refresh inspiring copy for inclusion in print, on our website and other relevant materials
Other
• record and maintain progress, ensuring that income can be projected as accurately as possible, liaising with the Finance Manager as appropriate
• carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by the General Manager
About you
You will be a skilled fundraiser, able to help us identify, recruit and manage a pipeline of individual donors, capable of giving upwards of £5,000 to support Ex Cathedra’s agreed strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience
• demonstrable experience in a similar role
• direct experience of securing gifts and donations at 4- and 5-figure level from individuals by initiating, building and stewarding relationships
• experience of developing engaging and attractive gift opportunities; and scoping, developing and articulating fundraising projects
• experience of working in a target-driven environment
Knowledge
• knowledge of the principles of major gift fundraising and Donor Relations (including stewardship)
• knowledge of the Arts and/or Charity funding landscape and UK philanthropic trends
• knowledge and understanding of donor motivations, and how to align philanthropic interests with organisational priorities
• a sound working knowledge of data protection legislation and national fundraising best practice

Income from donations from wills makes up approximately a third of our charity’s annual income. Job Purpose
As BSR’s Marketing and Communications Manager you will deliver impactful communications and data-driven marketing plans that support our mission and vision.

We’re looking for a Stories and Media Manager to join our team
Salary: Circa £40,000
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid
Hours: Full time and permanent. Working 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am - 7pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

To help start new cancer cures and save lives, we are looking for a Stories and Media Manager to join the Brand & Communications team at Worldwide Cancer Research, to help the charity run its multi-million-pound funding programme for discovery cancer research.

The Regular Giving Campaigns Manager will play a key role in growing donations to the College’s Annual Fund by leading on the strategy, execution, and analysis of fundraising campaigns to drive funding for student support. This includes managing telethon campaigns, digital and print appeals, and ensuring smooth delivery with internal and external partners.
The role also includes stewardship and retention activities, such as publicizing the impact of regular giving and managing the 1509 Society donor circle. The manager will support major donor identification and growth, oversee the regular giving budget, and stay updated on fundraising trends and best practices. There is some CRM and data management, focusing on donor segmentation, analysis, and improving data quality.
This role is critical to increasing participation among alumni, ensuring sustainable funding for student support and College priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning, Execution & Analysis
- Lead all Annual Fund campaigns, including telethon, giving day, digital and print appeals, which seek to generate funding towards student support, increasing participation among alumni and community base year-on-year. Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth campaign delivery.
- Plan, lead and execute all telethon campaigns including caller recruitment; training and supervision of callers; production and distribution of pre-call and post-call materials; data segmentation, handling, and analysis to ensure smooth-running of campaigns.
- Prepare Annual Fund communications such as leaflets, letters, and other materials from idea through to drafting, design, printing, and mailing.
- Analyse the efficacy of past appeals to improve performance and lead on identifying trends and donor interests to significantly improve the targeting of appeals.
- Produce reports on progress of Annual Fund activities with relevant metrics and propose appropriate responses to these results.
- Establish and maintain an understanding of the College’s academic objectives and their relationship to the Development Team priorities.
- Understand the financial position of the College and be confident in articulating how Development activity impacts upon the work of the College, both now and into the future.
- To be responsible for the regular giving budget and resources.

- Help publicise the impact of regular giving to alumni and friends of the College, including writing for newsletters, the website, and social media.
- Develop and deliver stewardship activities for regular donors.
- With colleagues, ensure timely follow-up on pledge renewals and recurring gifts to improve donor retention and engagement.
- Manage and grow the 1509 Society donor circle, and work with the Development Director and Senior Development Executive to identify regular donors to move into the pool of potential major donors.

Person Specification
Essential skills
- Experience in regular giving, fundraising or marketing within a nonprofit, higher education, or similar environment.
- Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to craft compelling donor appeals and stewardship content.

Terms and Conditions of Employment
Appointment
This appointment is offered as a full time, permanent contract. There is an initial probationary period of six months. The appointment will be conditional on verification of the successful candidate’s ‘Right to Work’ checks and subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and medical clearance through the University’s Occupational Health Services.
Salary
To be paid on the College Grade 6 scale depending on experience. Advancement up the scale is on merit.
Hours of work
Full time 35 hours each week. Standard hours are from 9am until 5pm, with an unpaid hour taken for lunch, Monday to Friday.
Certain events in Development will require attendance outside of these core hours, notably the annual Telethon which is run over 2-weeks, and will likely amount to two weekends, plus 2 extra hours per day for 1-week.
The postholder will be required to work the hours necessary to fulfil the job requirements and subject to operational needs. A willingness and ability to adopt a flexible approach to working hours and duties is essential according to the requirements of the College.

The paid holiday entitlement for a full-time contract is six working weeks (30 days) annual leave (5 days to be taken over Christmas break) plus statutory Bank Holidays. The remainder to be taken at such times and shall be mutually convenient, and agreed in advance. Bank Holidays which fall within the full terms of the University of Oxford are normally worked, for which compensatory time off in lieu will be given. The holiday year runs from 1 January to 31 December.

Public Interest Litigation Support (PILS) is a Belfast-based non-profit committed to supporting local organisations to use the law in a creative way to protect human rights and equality.

About the role
We The Curious is about to enter an exciting new phase in its mission to connect and empower everyone through shared creative science learning experiences. It is nearly a year since we reopened and as we enter our 25th Anniversary Year there is lots to celebrate and talk about with our new multi-year strategy, Plan 2030 which encompasses numerous major projects for which we must develop and cultivate support.
The Development Team is responsible for fundraising across the whole organisation and the stewardship and development of our donors and supporters. The other members of the team are the Development Manager, the Gifts and Partnerships Manager and Development Account Manager. We are looking for a Trusts and Foundations Manager who is collaborative, organised and an excellent communicator to join the team to help us maximise and unlock some very exciting fundraising opportunities.
As Trusts and Foundations Manager you will use your skills in research and persuasion to identify grants funding opportunities, establish new relationships and write and submit proposals to trusts, foundations, Lottery funders, the local authority, universities and research councils. Working closely with the rest of the team and project managers from other departments you will raise between six and seven figure sums for our programme of creative science learning and inclusion projects.
What will you do in this role?
Role specific responsibilities
_Identify new grants funding sources, including trusts and foundations, research councils and statutory/government funders.
_Prepare and submit high quality funding proposals, expressions of interest and budgets in accordance with strict deadlines and application criteria, to a diverse range of funders, for up to seven-figure sums.
_Work closely with internal departmental teams to develop We The Curious projects so that they are ready for fundraising and write detailed and compelling cases for support that include timelines, budgets and evaluation and reporting plans.
_Support the funding applications of other partner organisations by collaboratively drafting budgets, attending project development meetings and writing letters of support.
_Support the Development Account Manager to cultivate potential funders, including attending on-site visits and events, phone calls and delivering presentations to secure support.
_Support the Development Account Manager to manage a portfolio of funders including overseas relationships, fulfilling reporting and public recognition requirements, thank you letters, regular communications and other correspondence.
_Liaise with the finance team to record new income and report on expenditure in accordance with funder deadlines.
_Support the Gifts and Partnerships Manager and Development Manager in identifying new strategic opportunities and exploring new types of income stream. This may include presenting to the leadership team. Contribute to the delivery of the fundraising strategy, including proposing financial targets for grants, lottery and research income.
_Work closely with the Open City Research (OCR) Manager to identify and pursue new funding opportunities for our ambitious OCR programme and work with the finance team to establish a new funding model for this activity. Support the Gifts and Partnerships Manager and Sustainability and Science Director in cultivating high-value stakeholders in STEM and research sectors.
_Assist in the implementation of the Development Team’s migration onto a new CRM database working closely with the Development Account Manager to customise the database for the Development team’s needs.
_Work with the finance team to understand our financial position and as requested by the Finance Director, contributing to key organisational financial documentation, such as the annual business plan.
_Manage Fundraising Volunteers supporting the administrative workload of the team and attend Volunteer Key Contacts meetings.
_Attend and occasionally present at We The Curious staff meetings, exhibition launches, project meetings, project development presentations and meetings as required.
General responsibilities
_Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of We The Curious’ planned activities for communities and schools to present our work persuasively to funders and partners.

What we’re looking for from you
_You’ll have at least three years of fundraising experience, with success at delivering against financial targets and strict deadlines. You’ll have the ability to network, build and manage funding relationships with a wide range of funders and other stakeholders.
_You’ll be confident explaining and pitching ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
_You’ll have experience of working very closely with project delivery teams to develop projects, ensure they know what they need to deliver for funders and monitor their expenditure.
_You’ll have excellent budget management skills, the ability to work independently and effectively and will be confident reporting on six or seven figure budgets.
_You will have good understanding of the financial and regulatory environment charities operate within.
_You’ll have some technical knowledge and experience at using and developing fundraising databases.
_You’ll have experience and confidence in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
_You’ll have the ability to understand We The Curious’ broad-ranging project content and tailor it to appropriate style and content for target funders.

The role and your key responsibilities
As an Account Manager, your role is to make sure that all partners in your area make the most out of the Unifrog platform. You’ll build and maintain excellent working relationships with your partner schools and colleges, and provide expert guidance on how to embed the platform across all year groups.
You will cover your own area of the country with occasional travel to your partner schools and colleges (on average 1-2 days per week).

We’re looking for someone who can inspire and collaborate, building strong, positive relationship. As one of our regionally dispersed Community Fundraiser’s, you’ll be joining a busy team, where you will manage relationships with our key supporters with the primary purpose of generating income across a geographical area, through community fundraising activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering income targets across the region by building strong relationships with individuals, local companies, community groups and volunteers, in line with our community fundraising strategy. You will also be responsible for the management and support of local third-party events in your region and in providing excellent stewardship to those supporters.

We are looking for a Community Enabler and Partnerships Manager to work in the hearts of communities to develop and grow local networks to get people engaged in their communities and support pathways to volunteering.

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 FTE
Location: Wales (remote working with national travel)
Hours: Full-time

About the Role
You will use community development skills and knowledge to deliver training and support services and local organisations to enable effective delivery of Time Credits. Working alongside the central support function you will design and run local events and trips to ensure that Time Credits flows, providing opportunities for people to earn and encouragement for them to use Time Credits. You will manage relationships with key local stakeholders to ensure your projects meet contractual targets, enabling the network to flourish.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management contracts, staff and resources
- Oversight of networks delivery and performance
- Stakeholder relationship management and reporting
- Development and implementation of local strategic plans
- Profile raising and sustainability
- Innovation, learning and development across the organisation
About You
You are able to communicate effectively about the work of the organisation, build relationships quickly and work collaboratively with a range of team members to achieve a goal. You are target driven, with the ability to stay on top of a varied and demanding workload.
With a passion for heritage preservation and community development, you will be IT literate including Microsoft Office tools with great communications skills including presentations and report writing .
You will have experience of:
