We are excited to be recruiting for a new Communications Coordinator at Volunteer Centre Hackney who will play a key role in helping increase volunteering and grow strong thriving communities across Hackney. Using wide-ranging communications, you will be vital to reaching diverse people across the borough and building key partnerships to help people enjoy the benefits of our services - all of which hugely improve people's lives and bring people and communities together.
The Communications Co-ordinator will play a key role in helping to build, promote and retain VCH’s public profile with a diverse range of audiences, helping us to drive volunteer sign-ups in Hackney, and promote our services to a wide range of stakeholders.
We have recently launched a whole new website and branding, so this is an exciting time to join our team. We have started to work together with residents to make films and are making plans to increase both our reach into specific communities, as well as promote our impact to new funders and partners.
You will plan, write and distribute a range of content across the marketing mix including our website, blog, newsletters, social media and in print. This includes writing copy and sourcing imagery for VCH events and activities, creating regular e-bulletins, updating social media channels, creating content to share the impact of our work, as well as helping to promote outreach and other events and activities to various diverse communities. This will be done together with VCH staff and volunteers, who you will support to co-produce interesting content.
You will take the lead in developing and implementing regular communications campaigns that celebrate the diversity of, and our work with Hackney’s local communities. This will include targeted campaigns around a number of topic specific awareness days, as well as with and for specific communities, to increase our reach across diverse populations.
You will roll out our brand refresh across all our programmes, working together with VCH staff to ensure buy-in. You will be proactive to create new and interesting materials to promote our services and their impact to a wide range of stakeholders including new funders as well as partners, and will ensure all our social media channels and websites are updated.

About the role

As our philanthropy manager, you’ll be integral to supporting income growth within our major gifts fundraising programme. This is a great opportunity if you are a talented major gift fundraiser who has comprehensive experience of successfully soliciting donations from high-net-worth individuals.
This is an externally focussed, relationship management role, concentrating on securing and maintaining long term relationships with high-net-worth donors. This will include identifying new opportunities to raise funds from prospective donors who could make significant financial commitments. You’ll then be responsible for engaging, cultivating, and stewarding these relationships.
The role will support a philosophy of proactive relationship building through cultivation and stewardship communications and activities. This will entail maintaining and maximising exiting donor relationships as well as attracting new business from a growing pool of new major supporters. You’ll ensure prospective donors are engaged with appropriate propositions, particularly from our extensive medical research portfolio.
This role will involve working closely with the head of philanthropy and associate director, philanthropy and special events. Developing good working relationships with the prospect researcher, research communications colleagues and other key internal stakeholders will also be vital.

About you
We’re looking for a highly self-motivated, innovative relationship manager who has well-developed understanding and knowledge of philanthropy. You’ll have demonstrable experience of soliciting at least 5 figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and maintaining those relationships for repeat gifts. You’ll have a track record of meeting challenging income targets as well as experience of being part of high value asks alongside senior colleagues and/or senior volunteers

Key responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies and new initiatives to drive growth and innovation in the range of charity programmes we currently provide, drawing on sectoral insights and taking a user-led approach as much as possible.
- Programme Oversight & Line Management: Manage the delivery to a very high standard of all our charity capacity-building and training programmes, including being a highly effective line manager for our team of dedicated programme managers.
- Grant Writing and Income Generation: Develop proposals to secure new and repeat funding support for Media Trust's charity programmes and lead the development team in meeting income targets through paid for training for clients including charities and funders.
- Partnership Development: Forge effective partnerships with relevant stakeholders including other charities, infrastructure bodies like NCVO and ACEVO as well as delivery partners including Equally Ours and Climate Outreach, government bodies, and trusts and foundations.
- Representation: Represent Media Trust at charity sector conferences and other events and on social media, to raise awareness about Media Trust and our work.
What we are looking for in you
- Senior Leadership Experience: Proven track record of senior leadership in the charity sector, ideally at an infrastructure or membership organisation, including line management experience and responsibility for managing programme delivery and budgets.
- Training & Capacity Building Programme Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in designing, delivering and measuring the impact of training and other capacity-building programmes for charities and under-represented communities.
- Business Development: Demonstrated expertise in designing and pitching for paid for training and other services.
- Grant Writing Experience: Strong grant writing skills with a successful history of securing funding from diverse sources including government grants, trusts and foundations, and corporates.
- Charity Sector Knowledge: A strong understanding of the communications challenges charities are facing and what interventions are working/not working.
- Knowledge of Media & Comms Trends and Applicability to Charities: Knowledge of the latest media and communications trends and how we can work with our industry partners to ensure charities are using emerging platforms, applications, etc.
- Confidence in Public Speaking & Using Social Media: Experience of speaking at conferences and other public events and facilitating training for large groups. You will also be confident about using your social media profile to raise awareness about Media Trust and our work.
- Outstanding Communication Skills: Very strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, with the ability to adapt tone and approach for different stakeholders.

Summary of role
The Community Fundraising Lead will work as part of the Partnerships team. The role will collaborate on the development of the community fundraising strategy and will lead on its implementation. The role will include engaging our community with a range of fundraising opportunities and will play a vital role in generating the funding needed for Choose Love to continue to support displaced people around the World.
Core Responsibilities

Drive revenue via community fundraising generated by individual fundraisers, employees of our corporate partner base and small businesses supporting Choose Love

Build a creative, diverse community fundraising strategy using learnings from your previous experience

Collaborate with partnerships comms and digital teams on the creation of community fundraiser journey, downloadable pack and assets for fundraisers and ensure these are kept up to date

Act as the key point of contact for Choose love community fundraisers, helping keep them informed and supported and giving them the tools to maximise their donations

Work towards fundraising targets by building Choose Love's community fundraising activity

Regularly identify and explore new opportunities for fundraising

Events Assistance

Event support for both Choose Love events and external events organised by VIPs, community fundraisers and other stakeholders - this can be everything from tracking RSVPs to arranging printed materials, payment devices, merchandise and coordinating corporate volunteers at the event

Assisting with elements of the Choose Love Shop, as required, including logistics, facilities, technology, being an onsite point of contact for talent, corporate volunteers and other stakeholders and occasional shop shifts to help out at busy times

We are looking for an accomplished Individual Giving and Legacy fundraiser to help develop, implement and lead our approach to growing unrestricted, long-term income in these areas.
You will work with the Senior Head of Individual Supporters and Events to design both the long-term strategy and short-term campaign plans for these fundraising streams, before taking ownership for implementing the plans on an ongoing basis so that we can inspire more people to support our work with young people.
You will lead a team of fundraisers to achieve the best possible results with existing and potential supporters – both in income and stewardship so we can start to realise the opportunity for growth in mass fundraising. This will include supporting your team in their work with other functions such as Supporter Care, Data, Finance, and our external Legacy administration agency, so that you can help ensure high quality data collection, analysis and performance reporting as well as compliance with relevant codes of fundraising practice.
We are particularly interested in people with excellent Legacy experience to fill this role so if you have a strong track record in managing Legacy programmes, including designing and implementing stewardship activities as well as proven experience in Individual Giving then we’d love to have you in our team to deliver campaigns which inspire people to become long-term supporters of The Trust.

Main Purpose of the Job
The Digital Enabler will work with the District Leadership Team and the Communications Officer to build the digital communications capacity of the District at every level, to facilitate effective participation by all members in the life of the church in the North West District, and to make use of new opportunities for mission and community-building in the digital sphere.
Key Responsibilities
1.Ensure that the District leadership is able to fulfil its responsibilities by ensuring there are reliable digital platforms for online, live-streamed and recorded meetings and events, for electronic dissemination of information (via web, social media and mailings), and audio and video recording and sharing..
2.Enable all members of churches in the District to have the opportunity for participation in District forums and events, and to receive information from their District and Circuits.
3.Co-operate with District and Circuit leaders, ministers and pioneers in the development of new forms of mission and church communities using a range of digital resources.
Key Tasks
Training and Support
1.Create a digital strategy for the District, identifying the essential resources and support needed to enable full participation at every level, and the opportunities for missional work in the online world.
2.Support the administration and governance of the District by facilitating online synods, committees and consultations.
3.Build a network of “digital champions” within Circuits and provide advice and support for local training and capacity building.
4.Devise and deliver online training courses for Circuits and churches.
5.Develop a “Digital Community of Practice” across the District, and linking where appropriate across the Connexion, which will envisage and create new ways of being and growing church in the digital age.
6.Work with safeguarding officers to raise awareness of digital safeguarding issues, and create usable information and guidelines for Circuits and churches.
Facilities and Resources
1.Work with the Communications Officer in building and maintaining the District’s online presence, including the website and social media.
2.Develop a range of digital tools and resources for the use of the District and its Circuits, and assist in their implementation. (These could include servicing local website and social media initiatives, plan-making and emailing applications.)
3.Collect and disseminate information on digital specialists in the District who can serve Circuits and churches. (This could include graphic designers, web and database programmers, audio-visual and streaming experts and others.)
Events and Online Communities
1.Provide technical support for online and live-streamed District events, including advertising, registration and ticketing, online and streaming facilities.
2.Work with the Mission Area Leads, Circuits and pioneers in implementing digital services, online communities and missional initiatives.
Personal Training and Growth
1.Maintain an awareness of changes in digital applications and resources, and consider how they can be used in the District.
2.Identify opportunities to expand knowledge and understanding, including by appropriate courses.
3.Reflect theologically on issues around faith in the digital world, and the opportunities for sharing the gospel by these means.

Age International are recruiting for a part-time Board & Executive Support Officer.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an aptitude for stakeholder management and organisational relationships, as you will support the CEO, Board and wider team, as well as liaising with colleagues within Age UK, HelpAge International and the Disasters Emergency Committee.
As Board & Executive Support Officer, you will work closely with the CEO to enable good governance and effective Board meetings, liaising with the Chair and Trustees between meetings to support them in their oversight roles, ensuring reviews of organisational policies, and timely communications.
This role involves providing administrative support to the CEO specifically (e.g. diary management), alongside logistical assistance for the CEO and wider team (e.g. arranging international travel and meetings).
You will act as a focal point for co-ordination across Age International, providing flexible support on a wide range of projects, so experience of project management, a proactive approach, the ability to take the initiative confidently and deliver to tight deadlines are important.
This is a part-time (17.5 hours weekly) hybrid opportunity, a blend of both home and office-based working. Salary advertised is full time equivalent.
Must haves:
- Administrative experience: minute taking, diary management, maintenance of online files and company records, administrative and travel support to a team.
- Project management experience, including organising events.
- The ability to use current office technology including MS Teams, Board software and associated communication tools.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Confidence working across departments, good stakeholder management and a collaborative approach to building working relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally.

About the role:
The Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships will deliver on income and our fundraising strategy, while playing a key role in the senior leadership team (SLT).
Your focus will be driving income and donor engagement via major donors, corporates and special events and initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as a key member of SLT, reporting to the CEO and working closely with associated peers to deliver and achieve the organisational strategy

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus.
Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. Purpose of the job
The Head of Digital will be responsible for leading our digital, IT and information systems. They will also have oversight of AV and for the technical development of online education materials.
The post holder will lead the digital transformation of the organisation, continuously improving the effectiveness and impact of the Society. They will lead resource planning, management, reporting and coordination of projects/initiatives to deliver change in line with business requirements. Job title: Director of Fundraising and Engagement
Reports to: CEO
Location: East Molesey office, this is a hybrid work model between remote and office (minimum of twice a week)
Hours: 4-5 days a week
Salary: £55,000 – £63,000 (FTE) dependent on experience
The Director of Fundraising and Engagement plays a crucial part in helping us achieve our vision that no family whose child has cancer, or a life-challenging condition should have to cope alone. With an ambitious fundraising aim over the next 3 years, you will be leading a dedicated Fundraising and Engagement team to generate in excess of £1.2million income annually.
As a vital part of the Senior Management Team, you will report directly to the CEO. Your role involves leading the Fundraising and Engagement team, where you will develop and implement innovative fundraising and engagement ideas along with bringing a high level of enthusiasm. As a hands-on and creative fundraiser, your pivotal responsibility is to ensure Momentum’s income sustainability while fostering personal growth and development for our team members.
Role overview
§ Working with the team collaboratively, responsible for leading the implementation of the fundraising and engagement strategy, which seeks to build and improve existing income streams, accelerate the growth in under optimised and emerging income streams and invest in growth opportunities.
§ Build and maintain a portfolio of high value fundraising streams including legacy giving, major donors along with developing new strategy and approach for individual giving.
§ Develop and deliver Momentum’s annual income strategy to secure in excess of £1.2 million increasing to £1.5 million over the next 3 years.
§ Provide exemplary stewardship of our supporters, focussing on retention and development of supporter journeys.
§ Create opportunities to grow our unrestricted income and support our 3-year strategic plan.
§ Personally manage key trust, corporate and supporter relationships alongside CEO.
§ Responsible for managing, recruiting and leading our incredible fundraising and engagement team to achieve their individual targets

§ Track progress towards income and engagement targets, adopting an agile approach to manage risk and directing the team’s efforts to optimise return on investment.
§ Create impactful fundraising and engagement initiatives across all revenue channels, pinpointing key focus areas to enhance the income generation portfolio. Continuously assess and adapt plans and strategies.
§ Monitor the impact of our engagement outputs.
§ Translate budgets and plans into inspiring cases for support.
§ Ensure team budgets are managed effectively.
§ Ensure all targets relevant to your role, within the strategic and operational plan, are met.
§ Be an active member of the leadership team, contributing to the overall strategic and operational plan of the charity.
§ Prepare board reports and attend meetings as required.
§ Optimise volunteer involvement across all fundraising activities and oversee relationships with Ambassadors and other prominent supporters as needed.
§ Guardian of Momentum’s brand, marketing and communications, along with playing a vital role in upholding our reputation.
§ Ensure Momentum complies with all statutory and best practice requirements of Health and Safety for all fundraising and engagement activities.
§ Responsible for maintaining compliance in line with relevant regulatory and best practice requirements, including Fundraising Code of Conduct, Data Protection and GDPR, Gift Aid, and Gambling Commission.
§ Act as a professional representative of the charity.
§ Undertake training as required for your role.
§ Other reasonable requests in line with requirements of the role.

§ Extensive charity experience at senior level in fundraising
§ Experience of developing and delivering fundraising and engagement strategies and plans.
§ Proven experience in budgeting and monitoring performance.
§ Track record of growing and sustaining income for organisations with budgets more than £1million.
§ Extensive experience of leadership and line management of teams.
§ Excellent track record of setting and meeting income targets.
§ Expert knowledge of fundraising law, standards and best practice.
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to promote the charity to a range of audiences.
§ Ability to motivate and lead a team of fundraising professionals: building positive relationships, developing clear objectives and providing strategic leadership and support
§ Good project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects both small and large as well as established work streams.
§ Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work, handle conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines
§ Work in collaboration across departments and as part of a cross functional team
§ High level of competence in use of IT including Microsoft Office packages and databases, ideally with Salesforce database experience.
§ Financially astute with experience of setting and managing budgets

§ Institute of Fundraising member with Certificate in Fundraising
