An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Communication and Marketing Manager to join our dynamic social mobility charity which exists to remove the barriers that prevent children and young people having meaningful access to the natural world.  Through a week on one of our three heritage farms, Nethercott House in Devon, Lower Treginnis in Pembrokeshire, and Wick Court in Gloucestershire, children and young people experience increased learning and engagement, improved connections and wellbeing, and leave us with an enhanced sense of environmental citizenship.  Visiting children are immersed in the natural world of countryside through a food and farming offer that allows them to participate in the seasonal tasks of the day: sowing, growing and harvesting in our kitchen gardens; caring for livestock and looking after the land; and cooking up a home-grown feast in the farmhouse kitchen. In partnership with our commercial farming neighbours, children experience the benefits of collaboration, enjoy plenty of physical activity, good food, and fresh air, and discover the magical rural environment that is full of new words, sounds and experiences to inspire their creativity. Spending time working alongside real farmers fosters children’s independence and helps them to grow in confidence, develops their self-esteem, and encourages them to become more resilient.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for developing the vision and direction of the Communication and Marketing Strategy but will fundamentally be an operational management delivery role. Responsible for developing and rolling out a multi‐channel communication and marketing strategy that will:

• raise the profile of the charity by communicating news about projects, programmes, and partnerships on social channels, on online and print media outlets, TV networks,
• deliver communications to generate sales to secure a pipeline of farm residential visit bookings from beneficiary groups (being children from schools in disadvantaged communities, youth groups, young carers, children in care, etc) across England and Wales.
• secure income from fundraising by communicating the charity’s mission, vision, and values to donors, funders, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners.

The successful applicant will have considerable experience of developing and delivering a communication and marketing strategy as well as experience of designing and delivering multi-channel sales and marketing campaigns. Excellent people skills are key, as you will need to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Raising the profile of the Charity by devising and implementing a beneficiary‐focused communications strategy that supports both the sales and fundraising function, including print, social, and online communications that target teachers and other adults who are key decision makers for our beneficiaries.
• Developing and embedding an integrated communications and marketing strategy to deliver the ambitions of the Business plan, to reach new markets and successfully translate connections into bookings (‘sales’) or generate income from funders to support fundraising.
• Leading on the management and development of all channels of communication for the Charity: social media, website, YouTube channel, print media.

This position is home based but you will be required to travel to our farms and Head Office based in Exeter as required in order to fulfil the role.

This role is to deliver a co designed menu of support, in collaboration with The National Autistic Society, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust, and Barnardo’s. The practitioner will provide impactful, school-based support to parents and carers of children and young people, and offer consultancy, professional training and advice to school staff, school-based needs teams and system wide partners. The aim is to improve the knowledge and confidence of those supporting children, young people and their families with additional and potentially neurodivergent needs, at an early stage. 

The role will predominantly involve working within the organisations focus areas within Surrey (Waverley, Surrey Heath and Runnymede), but at times will require travel across Surrey, so access to a car is essential. 

Responsibilities  

• ·To actively encourage and facilitate collaborative ways of working with all stakeholders.

We are looking to recruit a creative and ambitious Fundraising and Communications Manager. A key focus of the role is the development of our donor management systems and corporate partnerships, whilst providing strategic oversight of the charity’s internal and external communications. Bid-writing expertise is desirable but not essential. We have an opportunity for a Benefits Advisor to join our Customer Accounts team in Christchurch.

The role:

Job Summary 

The Youth Development Worker (YDW) is a crucial and exciting role that aims to support youth mission and ministry in churches across the Stepney episcopal area, with an immediate focus on supporting around 22 churches from both evangelical and Anglo-Catholic traditions involved in our five new Youth Minster initiatives across Hackney and Islington deaneries.

• Work intensively with parishes to develop their offer using the parish development pathway. With immediate focus on supporting around 22 churches involved in our five new Youth Minsters 

• Leads and support Youth Minster initiatives across Hackney and Islington deaneries, including working to achieve missional impact and financial sustainability by 2030 

• Lead implementation of Diocese Growing Younger Strategy in The Stepney Area.

Your role

Job Title: West Yorkshire Full-time Maths Tutor

Reporting to:  West Yorkshire Programme Manager

Responsible for: Delivery of academic intervention in Maths to pupils in educational environments for Tutor Trust

Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: £24,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position (40 hours across seven days a week)

Job Purpose: Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· To plan and deliver tuition to primary/secondary school aged pupils (from 9-16 years old) across West Yorkshire in Maths on a 1:1 to 1:4 ratio.

· To complete appropriate paperwork relating to tuition with pupil (register, feedback sheets, etc.)

· To liaise with the West Yorkshire Programmes team and the quality team.

· To undergo any appropriate training throughout the role to enhance the quality and impact of tutoring delivery.

· To support other tutors as appropriate.

· To be involved in Tutor Trust tutorials and training where required.

          To follow all Tutor Trust/school safeguarding policies and procedures.

Person Specification – skills and attributes

· One year of tutoring experience required or QTS.

· Ability to tutor Maths to a standard desirable.

· Must have achieved a minimum of Grade B/6 at GCSE in Maths and English.

The West Yorkshire team is based in central Leeds offices however, there is the opportunity for hybrid/remote working. The job is a full-time, position with frequent travel required across the West Yorkshire Region to deliver tuition.  All reasonable travel expenses on Tutor Trust business will be reimbursed (not including your regular commute from home to the Tutor Trust office). 

Holiday entitlement will be 33 days per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays, pro rata). The role will involve working occasional unsocial hours in the evenings and at weekends.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking business leader with first-rate interpersonal and communication skills to lead, develop and help set direction for the visitor operations of the RSPB’s North Suffolk Coast reserves.  The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in leading and motivating teams, in areas such as retail, catering, membership and events, and the necessary expertise to achieve income growth targets.

A passion for providing the best possible visitor experience will be key, helping to connect our visitors to the amazing wildlife of the North Suffolk Coast reserves and inspiring them to take action for nature.

At Minsmere we welcome around 100,000 visitors each year, with a busy shop and café and incredible wildlife spectacles that make the reserve one of the top nature destinations on the Suffolk coast. Minsmere is an internationally important nature reserve with visitors coming from all over the country, and indeed the world, to get closer to nature here. Maintaining our visitor offer will be vital over the next few years as construction will be taking place for Sizewell C, which is on our southern boundary. We also welcome visitors to Dingle and North Warren, where we also aim to provide a rewarding experience.

You will lead a fantastic team and support a culture of exceptional customer service, maintaining the highest standard of visitor welcome and experience.

Day-to-day this role will involve:

• Managing a team and building strong working relationships.
• Developing income streams.
• Monitoring finances and visitor data.
• Developing successful events.
• Overseeing publicity and interpretation.
• Managing staff and volunteers.
• The role involves working to targets and will involve some weekend and bank holiday working.

This is a great opportunity for someone to have a big positive impact on RSPB income and support, building a cohesive visitor team, and engaging and inspiring both new and traditional audiences at Minsmere nature reserves. There will be opportunities for wider working in collaboration with other RSPB reserves in the area.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• A natural leader who can build and maintain strong working relationships and motivate and inspire people at all levels.
• Sound understanding of systems and procedures necessary to run a commercial visitor operation.
• Sound knowledge of how to deliver the highest standard of customer care.
• Experience of successfully recruiting, leading and developing a team of volunteers and staff to deliver a joined up, coherent and high-quality visitor offer for all visitors to the reserve.
• Experience of proactively promoting the visitor offer through all available channels to target audiences.
• Proven track record of setting and achieving agreed targets and KPI’s for income generation, quality of visit and footfall targets for the reserve.
• Experience of maximising opportunities for visitor engagement and converting visits into support.
• Experience of organising events and activities with supporting documentation to ensure relevant procedures and legal compliance requirements are met.
• Competence in the full range of Microsoft 365 software.
