The Role

Main Areas of Responsibility
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional and customer-focussed HR leadership, advice and support to the Primary Director and Assistant Directors of Primary Education
- Influencing and supporting the strategic direction of primary academies by providing and analysing workforce information and developing HR initiatives with the Director of Primary/Assistant Directors of Primary to respond to needs
- Coaching, supporting and mentoring senior leaders on people management practices, issues and priorities
- Providing expert advice to managers in complex employee relations cases
- With the Head of Employee Relations, managing employment tribunal cases, including liaising with ACAS on early conciliation, liaising with legal representatives regarding tribunal claims and attending tribunals if required
- With the Head of Employee Relations, negotiation and drafting of settlement agreements
- Working in partnership with academy leadership teams in providing expert guidance at all stages of organisational change processes

What you'll be doing:
In this role, you will work within our amazing Estates team, managing a small team of Area Wardens to deliver reserve management on nature reserves around the Weald and Blean. You'll be involved in:
- Overseeing the day to day delivery of conservation activities on the reserves in Weald and Blean areas.
- Managing the process of developing and producing reserve management plans and accompanying work programmes.
- Trialling new approaches to delivery to maximise biodiversity benefit while minimising cost, such as re-wilding or other lower intensity management practices.
- Developing and managing the teams under your area of responsibility.
- Mentoring and advising your team and supporting their professional development where practicable.
- Developing and managing the Blean and Weald reserve budgets.
- Managing Countryside Stewardship work programmes, bids and claims for Blean and Weald areas and assisting with other areas as may be required.
- Ensuring all reserve operations are undertaken in accordance with agri-environment schemes and the requirements of cross compliance.
- Ensuring health and safety processes are adhered to on reserves in Weald and Blean area.
- Fostering positive working relationships across the organisation and externally to further reserves delivery.
What we need you to bring:
- At least 5 years' experience of working in a nature reserve, wildlife conservation or land management context.
- Experience of developing and delivering nature reserve work programmes.
- Management and supervision of staff and volunteers.
- Experience of day-to-day management of budgets.
- Sound understanding and technical knowledge of wildlife conservation and reserve management techniques and methods as they apply to Kent’s wildlife habitats.
- Good understanding of agri-environment schemes and cross compliance and the associated requirements.
- Effective development of working relationships with different teams across different functions within an organisation.
- Self-motivation with a proven ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a client of ours who seeks someone with exceptional EA skills and experience to support their busy and multi-faceted work life within the charity and environmental sector. The role is mostly remote with 1 day per month in West London and hours worked flexibly spread over 4 - 5 days per week (Monday-Friday). Salary is depending on experience and will be pro rata the full time amount advertised.
As EA you will:
- Manage a busy email inbox, keep track of multiple events, deadlines and relevant developments that may impact on my client’s work or their diary and support her by briefing her when she is too busy to look at emails.
- Manage a busy diary and arrange meetings, book events and lunches/dinners
- Respond to meeting requests and draft responses to other emails or letters as required
- Ensure my client is well prepared and briefed for meetings and events
- Anticipate what will be needed and use your initiative to meet these needs
The ideal applicant will:
- Have experience of providing Senior PA or EA support at Senior Executive level and be comfortable and confident liaising at this level and with public figures on occasion.

Edward Gibbons House is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Substance Misuse Worker to support our amazing residents.
Providence Row Housing Association has been helping homeless people in East London since 1860. We provide social housing along with excellent services that aim to support homeless people with complex needs and enable their recovery. We remain committed to our East London roots and currently serve the communities in Tower Hamlets, Hackney and the City of London.
Our Senior Substance Misuse Worker works alongside members of the support team to create a safe and welcoming environment within a psychologically informed environment. You will contribute to the development of the recovery hub, by providing expertise in alcohol and drug misuse. Taking a lead role in delivering training/ advising staff on substance misuse issues, liaison with substance misuse agencies, facilitating multidisciplinary case conferences and negotiating access to detox and treatment services. Carrying out assessments of drug and alcohol usage with key clients, delivering brief and extended interventions, outlining risks, advice on harm minimisation and refer to specialist agencies.
You will also conduct surveys of residents view and opinions, assist with audits and reporting on the service, help to ensure compliance with regulation and best practice, and work with a Support Team which promotes person centred coproduced approaches.
You need to have experience of working with homeless people with complex needs, have a good understanding of strengths, needs, and risks they experience. Be competent with computer systems, and comfortable completing regular performance reports. The Senior Substance Misuse Worker is a day shift based role with evening and weekend working.

The St Mungo’s Pan London Rough Sleeping Teams (No Second Night Out and Somewhere Safe to Stay) provide a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough. We are currently looking for people to join our teams as Night Reconnection Assistants (and Night Assessment Workers).
