Responsibilities
The Youth Development Lead is accountable for:

Providing ongoing operational, administrative and mentoring support to ensure the smooth and effective running of our youth engagement, including:

Organising and facilitating regular group meetings.

Creating effective communication and collaboration channels with peers.

Ensuring that the highest level of safeguarding is upheld in all interactions with the Youth Board and Ambassadors, including the securing of consent forms, training of the young people for social media and media appearances, as well as liaising with partners, schools and parents/guardians.

Taking steps, alongside the Head of Youth Activist Development to enable every young person to act as key representative of Bite Back, ensuring their needs, ideas, and strategic thinking is fed into wider organisational plans.

Supporting the design and delivery of training to empower 90 youth activists to aid us in activating our campaigns activities in a multitude of settings including media, policy, social media and public affairs.

Working effectively alongside the Head of Youth Activist Development and our colleagues in Communications and Brand on the recruitment and onboarding of the Youth Board Members.

Leading regular evaluations of the Youth Board programme, securing feedback from the youth activists on their experiences, and providing recommendations to shape strategy and approach in the future.
The Youth Development Lead works closely with the Head of Youth Activist Development to ensure that we can provide a consistent and uplifting pathway for our youth activists.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate would have the following:

Who we are looking for
Our Communications Services team is seeking a talented Social Media and Digital Communications Lead, with a background in sustainable development, science or health communications. The successful applicant will be educated to degree level with at least a 2:1 or 1st class honours degree.
You will need to be highly creative with the ability to produce social media campaigns, digital content and videos, coordinate and deliver a range of communications materials, and lead the development of engaging websites to tell our clients’ stories. Plus, you’ll need to be highly organised and able to juggle multiple tasks and manage large projects. You should also be open to travel, as the role could require you to visit projects in Africa or Asia.
What you will do
You’ll produce creative content and lead our social media and digital services for international development and research organisations around the world, covering topics such as climate change, health, poverty reduction, social equity, agriculture, water resources management, and green cities. You’ll need to think strategically and creatively, respond effectively to emerging trends, and help our team develop and grow.
Your role will include:
- Leading social media and digital communications services: you will conceptualise, coordinate and deliver social media campaigns, videos, websites, newsletters and other digital products for our clients – leading innovative content strategies that drive engagement. You will also project manage other content development and graphic design work as needed.
- Content creation: you will create social media content and assets, graphics, videos and animations. You will also develop design templates and mock-ups, format presentations and Microsoft Word documents, produce event materials and make website updates.
- Managing Scriptoria’s social media and website: you will lead Scriptoria’s internal social media strategy and ensure our website and digital landscape remains dynamic and up to date. You will test and advise the team on new tools or programs.
- Business development as part of the team: you will explain our work to potential new clients, showcase our many successful projects, increase the amount of digital work flowing into the company, and so ensure that Scriptoria’s Communications team moves from strength to strength.
Working at Scriptoria
This role offers the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects, gain experience in different areas and contribute to the diverse range of services that Scriptoria provides. As a small and collaborative team, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is happy to support a variety of tasks and develop further skills, as needed, in the role.
Our staff have the flexibility to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, South-West London, during regular operational hours (08:30–17:30; 40 hours/week). If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings with clients. Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with other team members to share skills and exchange ideas.
You will have 25 days of annual leave per year, plus UK public holidays.
Key skills and experience required
- A 2:1 or 1st class honours degree in a subject area relevant to our work. A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
- A minimum of four years’ work experience in a communications role.
- Extensive knowledge and use of social media channels (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.), marketing platforms (e.g. for newsletters) and management tools (e.g. Hootsuite).
- Experience using a range of tools to create digital communications materials (e.g. Canva and video editing software; Illustrator and Premier Pro would be an advantage) and content management systems (e.g. WordPress).
- Understanding of the digital landscape, emerging trends, tools and best practices in social media and digital communications (including SEO, UI, UX, Information Architecture).
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media, digital and campaign strategies, and using reporting and analytics tools – with proven success in driving engagement and followers.
- Strong creative flair with a strong understanding of best-practice design principles.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and cope flexibly with a range of jobs to meet (and exceed) client expectations.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.

About the role:
The Advance Prison Advocate will support women on remand and those unsentenced within the prison setting, providing pre-release support; focused on Accommodation, Finance, debt & benefits, Family & significant others and Social inclusion.
The Prison Advocate will develop a referral pathway with the Offender Management team within the prison, for women to access the service and will work in partnership with the existing service providers operating within the prison. You will co-design a person-centred support and action plan with women accessing support, enabling you to support them to address their needs and any risks in relation to the interventions identified above including providing ‘through the gate support’. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women in custody.
You will have demonstrable experience and understanding of working with women in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally working with prisoners and/or their families.
You will build strong relationships with the Pre Release teams to ensure clients are able to maintain or access suitable accommodation, finance, benefits and debt, family and social inclusion support including negotiating terms on behalf of the women. Ensure that interventions are responsive to and meet the needs of women from diverse and minoritised backgrounds. This, together with referrals to wider partner organisations in the community, will ensure additional support needs are addressed post-release and continuity of support exists
A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential
About You:
To be successful as the Advance Prison Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
Knowledge and experience of the criminal justice system obtained through academic study, experience of working in the criminal justice system (or closely associated social system).
The ability and experience as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons.
You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload including maintaining and updating records, remaining focused on action plan goals, and keeping to deadlines
You will have the ability to complete trauma informed, support and action plans in collaboration with the woman; to support in addressing their multiple and individual needs and enable them to engage with services, which will result in timely and prescribed outcomes being achieved.

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.
CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.
Without our care, these buildings might have disappeared entirely. Instead, they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.
Sound & Art at St Swithun’s
Sound & Art at St Swithun’s (SASS) is a £2.8M Heritage Lottery Funded project, to create an arts space in the heart of Worcester city centre. The Grade I listed church has been transformed through conservation and adaptation, giving it a new lease of life. SASS launched in late October 2022.
· Sound & Art at Swithun’s aims to be a major player in the city’s cultural life;

Overall job purpose
You will provide effective on-site caretaking and cleaning services as part of the Sound & Art at St Swithun’s Team. You will also assist with the setting up and taking down of equipment for events and ensure the church is opened/locked as required for volunteers, event promoters, workshop providers and venue hires.

Key Duties:
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual giving fundraising campaigns to ensure sustainable income growth and long-term donor engagement.
- Manage activities aimed at enhancing supporter engagement and acquisition through various channels including social media, email, SMS, direct mail, and online campaigns.
- Work closely with the wider fundraising research, and communications teams to ensure the effective execution of individual giving activities.
- Oversee data selection for individual giving campaigns to optimise return on investment and insightful testing; ensure data is managed sensitively, confidentially, and in compliance with GDPR.
- Support the Individual Giving team in forecasting and reporting on both financial and non-financial KPIs related to the individual giving programme.
- Assist in the development and launch of a Mid-Value donor fundraising programme.
- Collaborate to ensure a seamless donor journey, encouraging further engagement and increasing lifetime value through various fundraising products.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in project management across multiple direct marketing channels, including both print and digital media.
- Excellent copywriting and creative writing skills.
- Strong background in researching and developing content for fundraising and marketing initiatives.
- Experience working with creative, print, digital, and media agencies to achieve optimal results.
- Experience in supporting the planning and budgeting process within an individual giving framework.
- Familiarity with legacy marketing is a plus.

The role will help deliver the goals set out in Join The Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-26, by supporting the charity’s growing research and evaluation consultancy work via Brilliant Consulting. The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will contribute to improving the evidence base for what works to drive fairer education outcomes and social mobility. The Senior Research and Evaluation Officer will join a small consultancy team and will be managed by the charity’s Research and Evaluation Manager. The team is also supported by a number of colleagues from across the organisation who work on specific projects based on their areas of expertise. The consultancy team is part of the charity’s wider research and impact team, who collectively have two areas of responsibility: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes and providing research and evaluation consultancy and strategy support to education organisations.
The successful candidate will have strong research skills, including in quantitative research, and will be able to communicate technical information and findings to university access and success practitioners and educators. They will also demonstrate professional skills in relation to stakeholder management and project management and will champion the charity’s values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners. Programme delivery
- Develop and deliver an annual programme of in-person and online events across London, Manchester, and Merseyside for Arts Emergency’s Young Community, volunteers and Network Members
- Collaborate with Community colleagues to ensure alignment and crossover between in-person and digital engagement opportunities
- Provide event coordination support for Youth Collective activities, such as online meetings and residentials
- Produce reports about activity, outputs, and impact of the events programme as required
Programme administration
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot forms and processes within the CRM database to support the delivery of the events programme
- Ensure that all activity for the events programme is captured accurately in the CRM database
- Respond to queries about the events programme from Young Community members and Network Members
