We are seeking an individual who is passionate about community that is - or has the potential to be – an excellent administrator that will support key charity functions including fundraising and grant-giving.
It is important to be in touch with what is happening in the borough and be present with the growing H&F Giving team where needed, so the role is expected to need a presence in the office and/or at events in the borough when needed. Some evening and weekend work may be involved, particularly for events. However, the role and the working environment remains flexible with opportunities hybrid home/office working in line with organisational and team needs and can be fully office based should that be your preference.
Key responsibilities
· To be responsible for a range of administration tasks that will support key charity functions at H&F Giving including fundraising, communications, events, grants and finance administration
· To support in delivering marketing and communications activities such as events and social media to key audiences, such as supporters, volunteers, corporate and non-profit partners
· To be the first point of contact for callers and visitors both over the phone and in person (when based in the office) including responding to queries from current and prospective supporters and grantees.

Job purpose
To support and deliver effective communications, including marketing and digital engagement activities, which raise awareness of Dementia Carers Count and foster connections with our community of carers, campaigners and donors. Your work will help us reach and support more carers, raise funds and campaign for changes which will ensure that no dementia carer feels isolated, invisible or alone.
Key responsibilities
•Understand our cause, linked issues, and how these are publicly perceived
•Horizon scan to spot social and news trends as well as potential influencer targets
•Manage our social platforms, keeping abreast of media and public zeitgeist about our cause and related issues. You will design and deliver paid advertising campaigns and monitor, respond, share, engage, comment on posts, according to our guidelines and with responsibility for reputation management
•Share audience insights with colleagues to ensure effective stewardship of all our defined audiences
•Support development of media relationships. You will curate press and media lists and respond to media queries, with shared out of hours responsibility.
•Draft statements and press releases and pitch ideas for articles and features, developing copy as needed and tracking coverage
•Support user-led story telling as part of content creation, including interviewing carers about their experiences and identifying opportunities to share carers’ voices in our materials
•Draft website copy and develop assets for digital use and printed materials which communicate our key messages and brand and which support specific campaigns
•Review and monitor evaluation and reporting metrics to provide regular and campaign-based management information relating to the success of digital and media activity
•Support effective cross-organisational internal communication
•Adhere to all relevant legislative and regulatory obligations relating to marketing, digital and communications
•Carry out other duties commensurate with this post as requested.

We have been lucky enough to secure funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for our wilder future for Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust Project. This is to undertake a programme of digital and cultural transformation at the Trust, creating a more efficient and effective organisation.
You’ll be part of the Trust’s Development Directorate, leading the development and delivery of the Trust’s volunteering transformation plans with the aim to improve collaboration and efficiency across the Trust.
About the role
This is a new role funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund that will enable the transformation of how the Trust supports volunteering by delivering a programme of volunteer and staff engagement and training, and leading the set up and migration to a new cloud-based volunteer management system. The role will also lead on volunteer development with external partners as part of the project.
The postholder will require the ability to work collaboratively and to implement an agreed project plan to fixed milestones and is expected to support and embrace a positive team culture, and to uphold the Trust’s values and expected behaviours at all times. They should act as a positive role model for staff, volunteers and external stakeholders through a professional, collaborative and engaging approach.

Key activities in the short term will include the management and delivery of grants administration and monitoring for a range of funds at H&F Giving including the planned launch of a new fund later this year.
You will also network in the community supporting our community partners and play a key role in developing our impact reporting and helping communicate the impact of our community partners to support our communications, fundraising and partnerships work, and raise the profile of our community partners.
Key responsibilities
· To be the lead Grants & Community Manager at H&F Giving and be well networked within the borough, developing our community stakeholders network and managing a range of key grant management projects to build a strong and connected community
· To be responsible for all grant administration and grant processes from end-to-end from opening grant programmes, reviewing/assessing processes and panel management to decisions made and reporting and evaluation
· To produce impact reports on grant rounds and gather stories from community partners to help drive H&F Giving’s communications, fundraising and partnerships work, and raise the profile of our community partners
