Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London.  All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental or physical health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.

We are recruiting employment support workers for a new primary care Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment service in the London Borough of Enfield.

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental and physical health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental and physical health challenges, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

No prior experience in IPS is required. The role we are recruiting for is as follows: 

Full time: 35 hours per week - these roles will be based onsite in the community 4 days per week and work from home 1 day.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental or physical health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, the DWP and local agencies, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

Overview of Role:

As Human Resources Advisor you will be joining a small, friendly and supportive HR team providing advice and support to managers and staff across the full range of employee life-cycle activities. This is a maternity cover post, so is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months. As this is a short-term contract, we are looking for someone with HR experience at this level who can also embody our culture as a charity with a Christian ethos.

You will provide HR advice and support, to our Centres of Mission (CoM) (which are local projects run in partnership with Diocese to share the Good News of Jesus); our central services team in Sheffield known as Co.Lab; and our Sheffield based conference centre and accommodation.

The HR Advisor will play a key role in developing and strengthening the relationship between the staff, line managers and HR and ensure we deliver an effective HR service which is aligned with the service to the wider organisation. This role is to respond to contact made via the Forcesline helpline, which provides a welfare support service for serving, ex-service personnel and their families.  Enquiries include requests for information, practical assistance and emotional support.

About the team

You will work with a great team of advisors who are both experienced and skilled. Their experience covers former Samaritans, Pastrol Care, Social Work and Police Despatch Calling. As a team they learn and support one another.

About you

You will have had experience in delivering welfare support to others, and ideally this has been gained through a helpline. You will also need to be technically competent as most of this work will be done virtually through digital means.

Based within the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service, the IDVA team works within a multi-agency system to provide a proactive, person-centered independent service for victims of domestic abuse, empowering choice through informed decision making.

This is a temporary 6 month position, however this post is likely to be extended.

Key elements of the role include:

• Providing priority support to service users.
• Risk assessing and helping to keep service users safe through safety planning.
• Enabling victims to access statutory and other services.

The role

We are looking for an experienced advisor to join our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee as Chair of our external EDI Committee. The advisor will help to shape our recruitment practices and processes to make them more inclusive. Together, we will explore the issues to reach a shared understanding of them and develop improved processes to trial.

There will be a minimum of four two-hour sessions each year. Advisors have a term of 3 years, with the option to complete a maximum of 2 terms. The Advisor will be paid £120 for each two-hour session. All sessions will be either in person in our London Bridge office (travel expenses up to approximately £25 per session will be reimbursed) or via Teams.

Purpose of role:

Due to internal promotions, Citizens Advice Welwyn Hatfield is looking for 3 Generalist Advisers to join our team. You will provide advice focused on a range of issues including welfare benefits, housing, debt, and discrimination. You will be providing advice by phone, email and face to face, to support clients with the problems they face.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of working as a Generalist Adviser but full training will be provided for the right candidates entering the service as trainees. What’s really important is your ability to learn quickly and apply this knowledge to helping clients. HOPELINE247 Advisor (Night Service) – Birmingham

We are looking to recruit HOPELINE247 Advisors to provide individually tailored suicide prevention advice and guidance to young people and those who are concerned for them via our national multi-channel helpline HOPELINE247 and deliver suicide prevention training online and in community settings across the UK.

What you will do:
• Work as part of a team providing suicide prevention support to a range of clients via multichannel communication platforms.
• Work on a 7-day shift system
• Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.
• Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise.
• Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.

To be successful in this role you will have:
• a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline
• previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health
• a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people
• experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels
• the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service

Salary: £15,136 per annum (Scale point 24). As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £10 per night shift. This will be paid on a monthly basis along with the salary.

Hours: 16.5 hours per week – 2 nights per week.

Working arrangements: This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 7:45am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.

Join us at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and play a pivotal role in ensuring people affected by MND have access to new and innovative treatments. As a Senior Policy Advisor (Access to Treatments), you will be essential in providing the Association with the vital information and analysis needed to influence health and care policymakers.

You will lead on issues related to access to treatments and healthcare, including the availability of medicines, genetic tests, and new care models. You'll monitor the policy landscape and regulatory environment, develop policy positions, and engage with external partners to maximise the availability and accessibility of treatments and clinical trials.

You will collaborate closely with our internal colleagues, particularly the Senior Policy Advisor for Research and Healthcare, to enhance the availability of clinical trials. Your work will involve analysing policy issues, identifying solutions, and preparing briefing documents for senior colleagues.

Engagement with a variety of stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, and people with MND, is key. You will also liaise with organisations such as the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and NHS England, communicating the MND Association's positions through policy papers, briefings, and reports.

Additionally, you will support our public affairs and campaigning efforts to influence politicians and decision-makers on issues related to access to treatments. This includes conducting research, producing policy reports, and organising consultation meetings, seminars, and conferences.
