The role

Business Disability Forum is a business membership organisation with an ambitious digital strategy. We have invested substantially in the last few years to upgrade three of our digital products (website, Knowledge Hub and a self-assessment management tool for our Members).

We are looking for an experienced, confident Digital Manager to lead on delivering our digital strategy and roadmap, continually improve our digital products, ensure accessibility is integral to our digital offer and manage the development of new digital products. You will also line manage our Digital Content Officer.

The requirement

• Experience working as a Digital Manager, preferably in a business facing organisation.
• Professional experience maintaining a WordPress Content Management System with an understanding of using CSS.
• Experience of monitoring SysOps - hosted server, CPU, storage, servers, domains, DNS, monitoring and acting quickly on critical issues.
• Experience delivering websites and digital products that are accessible to disabled people with outstanding knowledge of digital accessibility and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Experience of managing the development of complex digital products from a third-party supplier from start to finish.

Our Communications and Campaigns team is growing this year. We have been changing how we communicate and campaign and are carving out a new approach to media work, political engagement, and digital mobilisation. This role will play a crucial part in raising our profile.

As Digital Communications Officer you will take a lead on social media content production on all platforms and management of our social media channels.

We are looking for someone with:

• hands on experience in social media content production, multi-media creation, be able to use content management platforms, video and design software, social media scheduling tools, digital dashboards, and email marketing systems.
• an ability to manage website content and run social media campaigns, and an understanding of SEO and digital analytics.

Role Summary

This role will support the expanding team with all engagement activities to ensure that good relationships are maintained with all Alcohol Change UK (ACUK) supporters, beneficiaries and volunteers. Job purpose

To support and deliver effective communications, including marketing and digital engagement activities, which raise awareness of Dementia Carers Count and foster connections with our community of carers, campaigners and donors. The Challenge Events Officer will work closely with the Senior Community and Challenge Events Manager (SCCEM) and Engagement Assistant (EA) to deliver significant elements of the charity’s fundraising strategy, in particular our challenge events. The post holder will be responsible for recruitment, management and stewardship of our existing challenge event portfolio to increase income in an area which has seen significant growth.

Strategy and planning

• Deliver the existing Community and Events strategy and maximise opportunities for income growth 

• Identify and develop new income generating opportunities across Community and Events Fundraising, devising new events and engagement opportunities

Fundraising events management

• Manage delivery of the event portfolio to achieve financial and sign-up targets, delivering effective on the-day support for event participants. This includes ensuring our events are accessible for visually impaired participants

• Deliver excellent supporter care to ensure supporters are motivated to achieve (and exceed) their fundraising targets, feel valued and build engagement with us 

• Key point of contact for high level event participants and community fundraisers via face-to-face meetings, phone calls and emails – providing timely and personalised support

• Support the Events and Community Officer with enquiries, applications and registrations for challenge events, ensuring high levels of conversion, and capturing relevant supporter data 

• Support the Head of Community and Engagement, or other teams within Fight for Sight with the successful delivery of key special events, including fundraising gala dinners or receptions, virtual events and mini conferences, and third party or established supporter events.

• When required, support the Events and Community Officer in managing guest lists, enquiries, and ticket sales for special/major donor events and receptions, delivering a seamless guest experience and timely follow-ups supporter care and relationship management

Marketing 

• Oversee all paid Facebook advertising activity for events, updating web listings, and utilising our networks

• Work with the Marketing & Communications team to raise awareness/increase recruitment across all activities, highlighting case studies and media stories 

• Develop and deliver effective and engaging content, and materials for supporters to increase recruitment, retention, and average fundraising amounts

• Minimum five years of experience of events and community fundraising, in particular with developing overseas or large-scale mass participant events.

Overall job purpose

This is a fundamental role within our North regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer. The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 23 historic churches across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, W. Yorkshire, N. Yorkshire (part), ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.

We are looking for an experienced and inspired fundraiser to develop and manage fundraising projects designed to meet Friends of the Earth’s income targets through multi-channel direct marketing campaigns to acquire new high-quality supporters and develop, retain and increase value from existing supporters.

As Individual Giving Officer you will also monitor performance of fundraising projects and make tactical and strategic recommendations to enhance results. You’ll join a passionate team and contribute to the development of individual giving annual plans, manage budgets and work with Friends of the Earth many internal teams, external suppliers and agency partners.

The role will hold a special focus on maintaining the positive experience of existing supporters, by providing timely campaign updates, as well as finding opportunities to ask for further donations.

Key Skills and Attributes: 

This role requires a confident fundraiser and project manager with a solid grasp of fundraising from individuals, either donor recruitment or retention, or in direct marketing within the charity or commercial sector.

Experience of developing and managing multi-channel fundraising projects is essential using a range of media channels. These include telemarketing, print (supporter magazine, cash appeals, retention mailings, inserts and cold mailings), paid social media, Display, YouTube, PPC  and email.

You’ll need to demonstrate a good level of organisational, time management and project management skills, and show a great attention to detail, leading on the monitoring and reporting of projects.

You’ll provide strong creative thinking, and work alongside the internal Content and Creative teams to ensure that content is accessible, inclusive, and honours our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion 

You’ll gain support from the Senior Individual Giving Officer on using the latest CRM database and create mailing selection lists and help take part in quarterly reforecasting. And show a good understanding of the both the charity fundraising sector and the climate crisis, in order to keep up with the latest trends and techniques.

The Individual Giving program has evolved hugely over the past few years, with a big increase in our digital activity and collaboration with campaign teams to create compelling and integrated plans. You’ll need to show a  track record of engaging online audiences, with an ability to produce compelling copy and content.

The Individual Giving Officer will manage a selection of projects focused on supporter experience. You will contribute to delivering an annual calendar of communications to maintain the number of active regular and cash giving supporters, providing timely campaign updates, as well as identifying areas to ask for additional financial support.

Knowledge of relevant compliance including Fundraising Code of Practice, CAP code, UK data protection law and complaints handling requirements in relation to individual giving is essential.
