Basic Requirements of Post:
As part of this role you will be required to work and travel across the Bradford District and Craven. While the VCS Alliance supports hybrid working, there is an expectation that you will be in the office for at least two days per week.

Purpose of the Post:

As a Project Support Officer, you will be at the heart of our mission, providing vital support to our project managers and teams:

• Providing essential support to project leads to ensure effective delivery of our projects.
• Providing general support to all our staff across the VCS Alliance to ensure our work can run smoothly and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Support the Project Leads to arrange meetings. 
• Take minutes and actions during meetings.
• Update relevant action logs following meetings.
• Working with the relevant staff to ensure invoices are processed promptly.
• Assist in developing marketing materials.
• Post regular updates on the VCS Alliance website and social media.
• Support to plan and run events.
• Handle administrative tasks such as printing, filing, ordering refreshments, record keeping. 
• Support Project Leads to collate and input monitoring information.
• Support Project Leads to prepare reports and progress updates.
• Monitor office inventory.
• Respond to enquiries via phone, email and drop-ins.
• Work with colleagues to develop newsletters, mailing and website updates.
• Complete any other relevant administrative tasks. 

General Requirements 

• Undertake personal training as required.
• Attend regular supervision sessions and staff meetings.
• Support general VCSA administration by handling inquiries via the telephone, email and drop-ins. 
• Provide relevant information for VCSA’s newsletter/s, mailings, website and social media 
• Comply with all organisational policies and procedures. 
• Promote VCSA with all stakeholders during the duties of your work. 
• Undertake any other duties prescribed by your line manager.

Interim Head of Training and Education

Location: Hybrid (UK based with regular travel to Bristol and London)

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For almost 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse. 

Purpose of the Interim Head of Training and Education role:  

The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the Training and Education function within Women’s Aid through a period of significant change, whilst maintaining a focus on the delivery of high quality training products to a diverse set of audiences.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Interim Head of Training and Education:

• Have oversight and hold strategic responsibility for the delivery of training and accredited education and qualifications that are developed and delivered by Women’s Aid.  
• Manage a team of skilled and qualified training officers, ensuring smooth and responsive delivery to a range of contracts and with a well evidenced and robust quality assurance and reviewing infrastructure.

About the role:

Communications

About the role

If you want to be part of a team that delivers sector leading mass participation events then we’d love to hear from you! 

This role is focused on the project management and delivery of our wear it pink campaign. Along with the mass participation manager, this role will play a key part in the planning and execution of wear it pink, with a focus on the design and development of our supporter journeys. 

With support from the mass participation manager, you’ll be responsible for building and executing a wear it pink supporter journey that looks to maximise income from our registrants as well as create strong relationships and repeat participation. You’ll also be responsible for other exciting projects throughout the campaign such as the fundraising pack development, content creation and working with teams across the organisation to deliver the campaign. 

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the world of mass participation fundraising, project management and the charity sector.

We’re looking for a passionate, organised and creative individual who works well as part of an ambitious and determined team. You’ll understand fundraising events with excellent multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.

Primary location of role and hybrid working 

This role is primarily based in our London or Sheffield offices. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.

This exciting role offers a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring and multi-talented individual to develop their career in a charity that is passionate about families with young children. We're looking for someone who is a natural communicator, who can use different social and creative media to get our message across to different stakeholders, whilst providing core administrative support to the team.

Home-Start Barnet (HSB) delivers personalised, early intervention programmes to families with young children, who have multiple needs and are struggling to cope with the challenges they face. Our trained volunteers provide the emotional support needed to prevent crisis and the practical tools to empower parents and carers to give their children the best start in life.

The Operations and Communications Administrator will proactively facilitate this work by being a central point of contact and by offering key administrative support across the organisation. They will be a self-starter, well organised and committed to the cause.

The role is based at our offices in Finchley, N3. We ideally require someone to be present in the office 5 days a week, but there can be flexibilty for the right candidate. This would suit someone who would like to work shorter days or around other commitments. Key responsibilities are to:

• Handle all incoming communications - phone, email and other communications

Are you passionate about creating great content and great experiences, with a heart for justice? 

We are looking for a Content Designer who will be responsible for researching, structuring and writing user-centred content that delivers a seamless experience for Tearfund's supporters. Working alongside other disciplines (UX Designers, Marketing, Digital Producers, Graphic Designer, Video Producer) you will identify user and business needs and create solutions to meet those needs.

You will spend time testing, writing and optimising content for Tearfund's channels (website, email, social media and print) in collaboration with marketing teams and subject matter experts within our content production workflow.

Our successful candidate will have:

• Experience using data and insights to plan user centred content and user journey maps
• Proven track record of high quality copywriting and/or significant editorial experience
• Confidence running workshops and championing content design best practice
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

The College of Policing is the professional body for the police service in England and Wales who work to share knowledge and good practice, set standards, and support professional development for police officers and staff.

Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner, these roles will provide professional finance business partnering support and advice to Cost Centre Managers, including preparing and evaluating accurate and timely annual and monthly budgets, forecasts and trend analysis, to enable effective and appropriate financial planning across the College.

The key duties of these Finance Business Partners will be:

• Act as lead business contact for providing a professional finance business partnering service to designated Cost Centre Managers.
• Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders to improve their knowledge of financial management and forecasting, whilst providing appropriate robust challenge when required.
• Complete monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts for your Cost Centres providing sufficient analysis and narrative to inform business and operational decisions.
• Analyse monthly performance to budget and KPIs, evaluating variance impact and identifying trends to support, challenge and provide options in the cost-efficient management of resources. 
• Reconcile budgets, accruals, prepayments and other financial records for year-end.
• Engage with Cost Centre Managers on organisational or business-related proposals, provide helpful and meaningful financial advice to support business case submissions.
• Drive effective strategic and operational decision making for budget managers.
• Support the design, development and continuous improvement of finance processes and quality and system improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have:

• Part-qualified with a CCAB qualification or evidence of equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Experience of working in a management accounting, finance business partnering or related financial role.
• Ideally experience working in the public sector, but this is by no means essential.
• Proven experience of working collaboratively, including working with internal and external people in positions of influence to develop and implement customer-focused business solutions.
• Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate financial data and information clearly and accurately to non-financial budget managers.
• Ability to provide constructive challenge to budget managers.

• National: £33,573 - £40,580,
• London: £38,611 - £45,618
