Core Responsibilities:
1. Supervising CareTrade Café throughout the school year (including half terms)
2. To work with the Café and Kitchen Manager to write and prepare training materials for the Trainee Café Assistants
3. Oversee the training of the Trainee Café Assistants (young people with autism) during work placement
4. Monitor the progress of Trainees and write end of placement reports
5. Line Manage the Café Assistant and the Trainee Café Assistants and report to Café and Kitchen Manager
6. To work closely with the Southwark Resource Manager and CareTrade to develop marketing materials and promotions for the Café and Community involvement
7. Responsible for opening and locking up the café and cashing up
8. Prepare coffee and food including: baking cakes, making sandwiches, salads, cooking hot meals.
9. Restock/refill items as necessary and list items that need ordering from suppliers.
10. Check stock in fridge for out of date products and dispose of as necessary.
11. Customer service including taking orders, serving customers and cash handling.
12. Maintain coffee machine including set up, cleaning and refilling with beans.
13. Ensure daily cash up form is filled in and money is in safe.
14. Ensure café is ready for customers on opening.
15. Create a welcoming and professional environment.
16. To help raise awareness of autism amongst customers.
17. To keep the café clean and ensure a high standard of hygiene.
18. To ensure food safety guidelines and laws are adhered to.

General Responsibilities:
1. To attend all staff meetings and participate in staff development as required.
2. Promote a positive image of autism, the Project, Southwark Resource Centre, Project partners and CareTrade.
3. Co-operate with all CareTrade and Southwark Resource Centre staff in maintaining good relationships with outside agencies and the general public in order to promote the charity and win increased support for its work
4. Co-operate with all CareTrade and Southwark Resource Centre staff in maintaining harmonious inter-personal relationships. Ensure that your conduct within and outside of your work place does not conflict with professional expectations.
5. Ensure an awareness and observation of Fire and Health and Safety Regulations at the work place.

Summary of the role:
The Head of Communications is responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s communication strategy to establish Muslim Aid as a leading faith-based voice and thought leader in international development, humanitarian programming and positive systemic change. About the Role:
Develop and implement a comprehensive global communication strategy that enhances the organisation’s public image, engages key stakeholders, and supports the achievement of strategic goals. Ensure that the strategy is flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
Lead the development and monitoring of annual communication plans that outline key initiatives, campaigns, and activities. Act as the overall guardian of the Muslim Aid brand and put in place processes and support to ensure it is represented at its best in all external communications.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Groundwork as Digital Media Officer at Cannington Shaw Heritage Skills Academy, where you'll be at the heart of our mission to preserve and promote heritage skills. At it’s height, Cannington Shaw was the largest glass bottle maker in the world. All that now remains is the # 7 Bottle Shop – a fine example of what was once one of the first regenerative tank furnaces in the world. Derelict since closure of the works in the 1980s, it is now badly overgrown, with considerable structural deterioration. The site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, Grade II Listed, and on the Heritage at Risk Register since 2002.
In the ownership of the Cannington Shaw Preservation Trust, the site is about to undergo a transformation as the first phase in restoring the building begins thanks to a £1.3m grant from the St Helens Town Deal.
A partner in the process, Groundwork Cheshire Lancs & Merseyside are leading on a project to develop and deliver a Heritage Skills Academy that aims to link the opportunities presented by the conservation and restoration of the building with local people wishing to develop their skills – with a particular focus on heritage construction skills.
This role is designed to provide practical hands on experience of working on a live heritage project, allowing the successful applicant to develop their experience of partnership working, – as well as a wide range of heritage skills, crafts and techniques.

Discovery is a student-run, charity based at Swansea University. Each year, more than 400 student volunteers deliver community-based projects to enrich the lives of the community around them.
The role of the Volunteering Projects Manager
The Volunteering Projects Manager is responsible for the support, development and effectiveness of our projects. Providing a high level of support, coaching and development to our student volunteer project coordinators.
Salary – £30,124.49 (Please not this is NOT pro rata. Discovery is a 4 day week organisation, the salary specified above is for a 28 hr working week.)
Working hours 28 per week (we are a 4 day week organisation)
Normal working hours will be agreed between 9 and 5.30, Tuesday to Friday with a half hour unpaid lunch break, some out of hours working will be expected for which time of in lieu will be granted. Exact working hours to be agreed with the Director.
Annual leave allowance – 26 days pro rata plus bank holidays. Usually taken outside of term time and must be agreed with the line manager.
Pension 5% employer contribution to NEST scheme after 3 months employment (employee contribution will be inline with statutory requirements)

The Role
This is an exciting and pivotal new role, with huge scope and freedom to increase our reach and promote our dynamic, unique charity in a direct and rewarding way.
Your first job will be to draft our Social Media and Creative Communications Plan, setting out the key opportunities, milestones and targets for the next few years.
You’ll be responsible for developing our brand presence across multiple social media platforms. You’ll manage authentic, highly-engaging campaigns that delight our community, creating emotional connections and delivering results.
An all-rounder with the ability to see social media and communication plans through from inception to delivery, you’ll be adept at creating and editing digital media as well as analysing their performance.
In this role you’ll work closely within our tight-knit team, reporting directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Bring the brand to life on social media with compelling and consistently engaging creative communication.
- Draft and roll out a compelling Social Media and Creative Communications Plan.
- Set KPIs, work to targets, analyse and report on performance.
- Reacting quickly to opportunities and title deadlines, keeping pace with a dynamic agenda.
- Increase engagement for existing audiences while acquiring new followers.
- Lead the creation and delivery of email marketing to charity stakeholders and our wider community.
- Create and run a GTM calendar to plan and schedule posts and campaigns that support the brand strategy.

- Provide support Social Media support to our Netherlands and Norway hubs as required.

About the Role
This is a key role within the communications team that will see you create understanding and awareness between the organisation and the key local and regional audiences that matter, as the charity embarks on its biggest ever period of growth.
This role will involve managing a small portfolio of local end-to-end integrated communications and PR programmes at various stages, to launch new Youth Zones in Barnsley, Crewe, Grimsby and Preston. You will work closely with each Youth Zone’s Relationship Managers and Fundraisers, as well as its CEO, and Trustee Board, and Young People's Development Group, acting as their trusted communications advisor.
In addition, you will oversee and lead a fundraising focussed communications and marketing campaign to boost reach to new funders (who we call Founder Patrons) in the areas where there are new Youth Zones.
The breadth of this role means no two days are the same, which is why we are seeking somebody organised, dynamic and self-motivated with exceptional project management and stakeholder management skills.
About You
We will be looking for someone that can demonstrate a broad range of communications skills from working with local media to place newsworthy, positive stories around the Youth Zones development, to supporting the development of new Youth Zones websites.
If you are as confident pitching a story to media as you are managing a branding project or overseeing an event, then this could be the role for you.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to the national communications plan, working closely with the Director of Communications and Brand on several high-profile projects, including overseeing and launching the new Youth Advocates programme, working with young people across the Network.
