St Columba’s House is a Christian retreat and conference centre in Woking with residential and day guests coming for a wide variety of purposes. The Centre is owned by St Peter's Charity. Although we are a Christian charity, our guests come from all faiths and none. This role will co-ordinate and assist with all aspects of marketing at St Columba’s House. We are looking for someone who can promote our own programme of events and promote the House more widely as a venue for group bookings.
Our marketing activities include e-mail newsletters, social media, website, printed material and traditional advertisements. This role requires a broad range of skills: good visual, copywriting, organisational, computer and people skills and a flexible working approach to handle everything from designing promotional materials to keeping the website up to date, from using social media to handling guest data. A good working knowledge of Indesign or Canva, Wordpress, Photoshop, Mailchimp, Meta advertising, Facebook & Instagram is essential to the role. A good knowledge of photo and video editing would be an advantage.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Direct Marketing and Fundraising Officer to join our Public Fundraising team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our fundraising activities, particularly during appeals, where your coordination skills will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Appeal Coordination:
- Assist the Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition in keeping member agency fundraising directors and key suppliers up to date in the run-up to and during appeals.
- Update the fundraising and marketing team budget tracker, ensuring accurate financial tracking throughout the appeal process.
- Support the setup and management of Appeal Toolkits and Appeal Hubs, providing essential assets to staff, member agencies, and suppliers.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of creative projects across all direct marketing channels, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Work with the team to gather and report appeal results, providing updates to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Executive Team, and CEO’s office.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage review meetings with suppliers’ post-appeal, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Monitor and update core and appeal budgets, processing invoices and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Support the Director of Fundraising and Marketing in organizing and managing the Fundraising Director’s Group meetings, including diary coordination, preparing presentations, and taking minutes.
- Provide general administrative support to the Fundraising and Marketing team, including setting up monthly team meetings, organizing agendas, and coordinating away days.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in project coordination and administrative support, ideally within a fundraising or marketing environment.

What You’ll Do

- Build strong, productive, collaborative working relationships internally and externally to support the delivery of the digital marketing strategy.
Essential skills and experience you will need to demonstrate:
- Degree or relevant marketing qualification.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a digital marketing role.
- Experience of email marketing, social media (including advertising) and content marketing.
- Digital content design skills with experience in creating and repurposing digital content through applications such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Audition (or other equivalent.)

Options: Supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives and engage in meaningful activities.

The role
As the Marketing and Partnerships Lead, you will be key in driving Red2Green’s marketing initiatives, ensuring we have a strong public presence and fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders. Your work will enhance Red2Green's visibility through digital and physical marketing, supporting our fundraising efforts and growing our community engagement.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Leading the development and execution of marketing strategies across digital and print platforms.
· Managing social media, email campaigns, website content, and press outreach.
· Creating accessible marketing materials that reflect Red2Green’s values and mission.
· Supporting fundraising efforts through grant applications and other initiatives.
· Building relationships with volunteers, donors, community partners, and local businesses to drive engagement and increase support.
· Organising community events and networking opportunities to boost our presence and foster connections.
· Ensuring consistent branding and accessible communication across all channels.
Person specification:
You will have:
· Experience in marketing: Digital marketing, social media management, content creation, and campaign development.
· Relationship-building skills: Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
· Understanding of learning disabilities and autism: A commitment to promoting inclusion and accessibility in all communications.
· Fundraising knowledge: Experience in grant writing and donor relations is desirable.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and execute all digital marketing in line with the group marketing strategy, including SEO/PPC, email, and social media.

· Maintain and grow our social media presence including identifying, creating and planning suitable content.

· Strong analytical and project management skills and data-driven thinking
· Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and reporting.

- Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and monitor performance
- Working collaboratively with a number of internal teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of annual acquisition campaigns.
