We are recruiting for a Legal Clinic Manager (maternity cover) who will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Dickson Poon School of Law’s award-winning clinic, King’s Legal Clinic (‘the Clinic’). The Clinic aims to improve access to justice and educate King’s students by providing free legal advice to members of the public through its Legal Advice Clinic; and working with local and international organisations on research and justice projects.

About the role
The Legal Clinic Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of King’s Legal Clinic (‘the Clinic’), under the direction of the Clinic Director and Assistant Director. The Legal Clinic Manager has line management responsibility for the Legal Clinic Coordinator and Legal Clinic Administrator.
Daily Clinic activities include supervising students in the processing of potential client enquires across the in-house Legal clinics; suitability and conflict checks with law firm partners; allocation of cases to student advisors and internal and external supervisors; delivery and organisation of the Clinic’s research and justice projects and training program.
The Legal Clinic Manager is responsible for ensuring the Clinic works smoothly, efficiently and is a positive learning environment and workplace for students and Clinic staff.
The role holder must have excellent organisational, IT, project management, and communication skills. An ability to relate to and work with a diverse range of students, partner organisations and clients. The position is likely to be of particular interest to a well-organised, proactive individual with experience of working in and managing in a legal environment and/or Higher Education with good academic qualifications. A background in legal practice and/or process improvement work, and demonstrable interest in access to justice is desirable.
The role is a full-time post (1FTE) offered on a 12 months fixed term contract, starting in the first week of July 2025 with the possibility of extension. The role is based in King’s Legal Clinic (Strand Campus) and will require regular attendance on campus. Some remote working is possible by prior agreement with the Clinic Director.

Kings Global Health Partnerships (KGHP) are excited to recruit for the new KGHP Fellowship to support systems strengthening across our partner countries.
We are looking for senior Medics, Nurses, Midwives, Paramedics or Allied Health Professionals with relevant experience to support the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)-funded, Saving Lives Phase III programme in Sierra Leone. The programme aims to support the Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) to deliver on improving maternal, child and reproductive health outcomes in the country, whilst strengthening health systems for a sustainable solution.
KGHP is leading a Clinical Mentorship programme across six districts in Sierra Leone to support Nurses and Midwives with vital lifesaving skills. The Fellows will support the development of a hospital education team underpinned by a continued professional development framework. Each member of the new education team will undergo a Leadership in Education programme delivered by the Fellow which will be co-created with the hospital management team.
Two recruited Fellows in each district will support the education team set up morning teaching sessions which will be rolled out across the hospital. The education team will also conduct clinical mentoring on the wards supported by the Fellow. As part of this Mentorship cascade system, hospital education teams will visit community health centres to support smaller rural health clinics in a knowledge exchange programme.
The Fellows will lead and support this exciting workforce and education development programme which is embedded in a large system strengthening project supported by a Concern Worldwide-led consortium of six NGOs across Sierra Leone.
This is a 12-month Fellowship opportunity. There are two cohorts, starting May 2025-May 2026 and August 2025-August 2026.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Children & Young People area at IRMO as an ESOL Teacher working with Spanish and Portuguese-speaking children and young people who have recently arrived in the country, speak little English and whose families are often still navigating the school admissions processes to enable them to access compulsory education in the UK.
The Children ESOL Teacher will lead on the planning and delivery of weekly creative ESOL classes for three age groups: 5-8, 8-12 and 13-19 year olds. They will work closely with volunteers, monitoring children’s progress and completing pre/post-course evaluations. They will also actively contribute to the improvement of the IRMO ESOL scheme of work. They will frequently liaise with the wider Children & Young People team to share information and expertise on the children’s needs as well as relevant services and opportunities. Additionally, the ESOL Teacher is expected to plan and lead on the delivery of termly family trips and cultural events (usually on a Saturday).
The overall aim of IRMO ESOL provision is to equip children with the English Language skills they need to: thrive and perform well at school and beyond; build their social, emotional and communication skills; reach their full potential; make new friends and reduce isolation. Ability to speak intermediate Spanish is essential for the role and knowledge of Portuguese or willingness to learn is a bonus.
The post-holder will have had ESOL experience working with children and young people (including online teaching) and will be familiar with the issues faced by migrant, asylum seeking and refugee children in the UK. Availability after school hours is essential.
This role follows a term-time schedule, and annual leave can only be taken during school holidays.

About the Advisory Panel
The Advisory Panel is a meeting of the four Council’s committees (Companies, Education, Registration and Standards) in plenary session. They are established by statute for the purpose of giving advice and assistance to Council (whether or not in response to a request from them) on:
· matters relating to business registrants other than matters required by the Opticians Act to be referred to the Investigation Committee, the Registration Appeals Committee or the Fitness to Practise Committee;
· matters relating to optical training, education and assessment;

· matters relating to the standards of conduct and performance expected of registrants or those seeking admission to the register.

Remuneration and time commitment
A daily fee of £319 will be paid. This is in line with our member fees policy and member fee schedule. This is taxable and subject to Class 1 National Insurance (NI) contributions. It is not pensionable.
Members can claim expenses for travel and subsistence costs incurred on Council business as set out in our expenses policy.
This role is part time with a commitment of approximately 2-3 days per year, including time spent preparing for meetings. Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices in London or other suitable venues.

We are seeking a self-motivated Member Support and Administrative Assistant to play a key role in our friendly team. The PSHE Association is the national body for the school subject of PSHE (personal, social, health and economic) education. We are a charity and membership organisation that supports a national network of over 50,000 teachers and schools with resources, training and support. Terms of Reference
The post is offered on a full time basis, on a permanent contract with a six-month probationary period. The salary will be £24,000.

Role description

About the organisation:
The Grenfell 'Education Hub' will open later this year to serve those most affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The hub will provide educational support to children and young people, their families, and local schools.
A consultation process in 2023 and 2024 about the needs of the community and the bereaved and survivors led to proposals for an educational ‘hub’. This will comprise a wide range of professionals including four specialist teachers, an Educational Psychologist, a Speech and Language Therapist, an Occupational Therapist, a Careers Coordinator, and a Family Support Worker. The Deputy Director, Financial Planning & Policy, will play a critical role in leading King’s College London’s financial planning and analysis team, driving financial alignment with the university’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will refresh and manage the financial planning process within King’s medium-term integrated planning framework, develop and roll out key financial policies underpinning financial accountability and financial management, and embed strong governance frameworks relating to financial strategy and planning.
The post holder will act as a strategic link between financial planning, business partnering teams, and senior leadership, ensuring transparency, accountability, and consistency. They will be part of the leadership team for a newly created FP&A function that will be driving finance development across King’s. This will include implementing a systems-based FP&A tool to streamline processes, enhance data-driven decision-making and efficiency, and ensure the generation of meaningful financial data to inform long-term financial sustainability. This leadership position will have a significant impact on shaping King’s financial direction, embedding continuous improvement, and fostering a high-performing, customer-focused finance team. Strategic Leadership in Financial Planning
- Lead the review and delivery of a refreshed financial planning process to ensure alignment with the medium-term financial planning framework (as part of King’s ‘integrated planning process’) and King’s strategic priorities.
- Develop and implement long-term financial targets, rebasing assumptions and incorporating key adjustments for growth, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Devise and adopt a consistent methodology of setting financial targets across King’s, including how growth, inflation, known pressures and opportunities, changes and other factors are reflected in the planning process.
- Coordinate the consolidation and analysis of financial planning returns, driving strategic quality assurance, challenge, and scrutiny. Develop narrative and reporting, highlighting trends, outcomes, and recommendations for decision making.
- Horizon scanning for sector developments to inform financial planning issues, identifying key opportunities, risks and mitigations.
- Collaborate with business partnering teams, Strategy and Analytics to share knowledge about emerging issues and opportunities relevant to King’s financial performance and sustainability.
- Implement control processes for budget adjustments, ensuring alignment with financial objectives, and with the integrated planning process, working with management accounts reporting as appropriate.
Policy Development and Governance
- Lead the development and rollout of the review or creation of relevant financial policies, including a revised Scheme of Financial Delegation and updating financial regulations and procedures.
- Establish frameworks to standardise budgetary controls, financial management and governance, and reporting processes across faculties and directorates.
- Ensure financial policies and procedures are scalable, fit-for-purpose, and continue to support King’s growing size and complexity.
- Act as a strategic advisor on financial policy compliance, working with management accounts, embedding best practices and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Implementation of FP&A Capability
- Lead on embedding the financial planning and analysis function, ensuring its integration with existing or new systems and processes to support effective financial and strategic decision making. • Oversee the development and implementation of a systems-based FP&A tool to enable efficient budget setting, data consolidation, scenario planning, and improved decision support.
- Drive other process automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of medium-term financial reporting and analysis.
Team Leadership and Development
- Line manage a team covering Research FP&A, Partnership & Commercial finance, and a wide range of project work, ensuring effective delivery of objectives and professional development within the team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and stakeholder-focused service delivery. Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of roles to enhance the department’s capacity and capability. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Act as a liaison between finance, faculties, and directorates, ensuring alignment of financial plans and priorities.
- Communicate financial insights, risks, and recommendations effectively to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making.
- Lead training and development initiatives on key policies and financial planning considerations, to improve financial acumen and understanding across the university community.

The Deputy Director, Management Accounts and Reporting, is part of the FP&A function management team, and will provide leadership to transform King’s College London’s financial reporting outputs and accessibility, ensuring it meets the needs of the university’s strategic and operational priorities. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will lead a team to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management accounting and reporting, underpinned by robust governance, innovative tools, and efficient processes. This will include the use of data integration tools such as Power BI. The Deputy Director will play a central role in redesigning and delivering on King’s financial management reporting framework, leveraging systems such as Power BI and Agresso, and enhancing the reporting structures to align with the scale and nature of the university’s activities (including review/adjustments to the Chart of Management Accounts). The role will ensure that reporting outputs provide actionable insights, drive compliance with financial policies, and empower budget holders with accessible, quality-assured data, thereby also enabling the business partnering function to refocus. This role is pivotal in building a culture of accountability, consistency, and efficiency across the university’s financial management practices.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Reporting Framework
- Lead the design, implementation and operation of a new management reporting framework that aligns with King’s strategic and operational goals.
- Lead the development of a suite of consistent, quality-assured monthly and quarterly reporting products, accessible to stakeholders including through user friendly interfaces such as Power BI.
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to ensure reporting outputs align with the needs of faculties, directorates, and other key areas of activity. Process and Efficiency Improvements
- Identify and take forward opportunities for automation and process efficiency in month-end accounting, including goods received not invoiced (GRNI) recognition and other ledger adjustments.
- Lead the implementation of a refreshed Chart of Accounts, ensuring the income and expenditure (I&E) management reporting structure reflects the university’s key activities.
- Review the utilisation of financial systems, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and value in management reporting activities.
- Develop a month-end timetable, working with relevant teams to enhance the reporting cycle, facilitating meaningful, risk-based financial reviews. Governance and Compliance
- Monitor financial management activities across faculties and directorates, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards.
- Develop and manage a financial controls framework, providing assurance over the accuracy and reliability of management reporting.
- Working with the Finance Business Partnering function, support the transition to new financial management practices, including in the roll-out of updated policies and training for budget holders. Team Leadership and Development

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Managing Director to ensure efficient operations and resource management.
- Support the team in executing strategy, scholarship programmes, and fundraising initiatives.
