Job Title: Programmes Officer - Sierra Leone
Reporting to: Head of Programmes – Sierra Leone & Liberia
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Part 1: Role Purpose:
We are seeking an outstanding Programmes Officer for an exciting opportunity to support Street Child’s programme portfolio in Sierra Leone. The key objectives of this role are to work closely with Street Child’s national partner to support the effective implementation of adaptive programming, and to support accurate and timely donor reporting across a range of institutional, trust & foundations, and corporate donors. The ideal candidate will have strong written and excel skills, with experience of MEAL and financial management processes, and a strong preference for German language skills and experience of working with Bengo funding. The role will include regular, detailed interaction with Street Child’s UK and European fundraising community, in support of donor reporting and future funding opportunities
The role holder will work in close collaboration with Street Child’s regional Head of Programmes, based in Freetown, as well as partner Programmes, MEAL and Finance teams to coordinate timely and quality implementation and reporting across the programmes portfolio.
Part 2: Key Responsibilities:
1) Reporting & Programme Funding Engagement – 35%
- Review narrative and financial quarterly reporting from country teams and provide feedback.
- Lead on the consolidation of narrative reporting (low-mid value donors) for a variety of donors within the portfolio.
- Ensure regular information flow to Street Child communications and fundraising teams, inclusive of collection and drafting of case studies and photos.
- Supporting income-generation opportunities - potentially including supporting donor visits, in-country donor engagement and broad-based support to the group’s global programme-funding efforts for Sierra Leone.
2) Programme & MEAL Management – 35%
- Work in collaboration with national partner and cross-country implementation teams across Liberia and Sierra Leone to ensure quality and timely implementation of project activities.
- Work alongside social, enterprise and education teams across both countries to support a joined-up approach to project implementation and MEAL, ensuring relevant data are collected with due care and utilised for project planning, reporting and learning.
- Provide strong support to programme staff and partners in Sierra Leone in programme and MEAL department.
- Alongside colleagues provide training, guidance and advice to partner delivery staff to ensure effective and accurate use of programme documents and tools.
- In liaison with Safeguarding Focal Points monitor safeguarding policies ensuring adequate implementation of policies and procedures, and support to close feedback loops with partners & project participants.
3) Financial Support – 25%
- Support the country teams in compiling requisitions in line with programme forecasts and budgets.
- Support on the collation of financial reporting requirements for low-mid value donors.
- Support on tracking of donors & match funding.
4) Other – 5%
- Cordinating staff, stakeholders and donor visits.

The Role
As CEO, you will report directly to the Board of Trustees and hold overall responsibility for the leadership, strategy, and administration of the charity. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of GMYF by:
- Overseeing the development and expansion of new clubs and services across Greater Manchester, including planning and executing the build of our new community centre and additional youth centres, ensuring they are equipped to meet the needs of the young people we serve.
- Driving the growth and success of our residential services and outdoor activities. You will ensure that our offerings comply with all relevant safety and educational standards, while working towards specific participation growth targets, including establishing a Gold-level Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) group.

The role:
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Internal Audit Officer to join our Risk & Assurance team. Reporting to the Internal Audit Lead you will have responsibility for planning and delivering assurance reviews across our school feeding programmes worldwide. Duties:
The role is primarily focused on planning and delivering work for a structured plan of reviews across the network. As a junior member of the Internal Audit team, you will conduct these reviews and follow up of any agreed actions with the support and coaching of the Internal Audit Lead. This is a remote role however there will be between 5 and 6 audit field trips per year, each lasting between 1-2 weeks, so you must be happy to travel regularly as part of your role.
With the support of the Internal Audit Lead you will have responsibility for mapping the processes under review, assessing the quality of our control frameworks to manage risk and testing the effectiveness of our controls in practice. This includes:
- Highlighting opportunities with staff to enhance and strengthen the design and operation of existing controls, or to introduce new controls.
- Documenting all fieldwork in a concise, thorough and accurate manner, meeting reperformance standards for all controls testing.
- Drafting high-quality reports to summarise findings and make clear recommendations.
- Providing ongoing support to local management teams around implementation of agreed actions.
- Assessing and challenging, based on provided evidence, whether agreed actions have been effectively implemented by staff by the deadlines set.
About you:
A self- starter, you will be passionate about collaborating with others to drive continuous improvement and to develop practical solutions. The ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues in different countries and settings, will be key to success in this role. With fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal, you will be confident in imparting your findings and recommendations in person, over the phone and via concise, high-quality reports.
1-2 years audit experience and good knowledge of the charity sector would be desirable but not essential. You will work directly with our partners, understanding their needs and supporting them to maximise their impact. During the programme you will also lead pro-bono projects for our corporate social responsibility partners.
In addition to gaining experience with our partners and within our teams, you will undertake a structured learning and development programme which includes mentoring from one of our Group Directors, and regular learning and development sessions including a dedicated professional development budget. Between years one and two you will receive a two-week paid break and a budget of up to £1500 to complete a research project on ‘Impact and Sustainability’ and report your findings back to representatives of our Group Board. You will also have the opportunity to have a two-week placement in one of our partner organisations, to help you develop your professional skill set. At the end of the programme we expect a number of participants to apply for and progress into our Officer and Manager roles, or look to secure positions with our partners or other like minded social purpose organisations.

This role will play a crucial part in the strategic and operational leadership of Art History Link-Up. About Art History Link-Up
Art History Link-Up believes that art history shouldn’t belong to the handful of people who currently have the opportunity to study it, unfortunately currently, fewer than 1% of state schools offer History of Art A-level. To address this, AHLU has provided free courses in art history to over 500 students from over 300 schools across the UK. Their alumni are now studying art history at Russell Group universities across the UK, including the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, and the Courtauld Institute.

The Accreditation Officer will join a small dedicated team, managed by the Director responsible for Accreditation, Training and Professional Registers. The successful candidate will help to ensure that the objectives in the RSB five-year business plan are met, with an emphasis on facilitating accreditation applications, including attending site visits as a Society representative. In addition, there will be a requirement to assist with the administration of Professional Registers and our Training offerings. The Opportunity
We are seeking a Director to help lead, develop and grow our Evaluation practice. The Director will sit on our Practice Board and be a key part of the leadership team guiding the success of the practice both commercially and in terms of social impact.
We design and deliver high-quality research and evaluation projects that help our partners make better decisions for children using good evidence. We work with more than 1,400 schools and 80 education organisations each year, with a wide range of partners including schools and multi-academy Trusts, charities and edtech companies, and the public sector.
The Director role will lead business development and strategic partnerships, support and oversee evaluation delivery, and hold a number of strategic responsibilities. We are looking for someone with experience in research and evaluation, business development, and leadership and management. The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will focus on increasing donations from individual supporters. Working closely with the Head of Development and CEO, you'll be responsible for growing donation schemes for individual supporters, stewarding major donors, delivering public fundraising appeals and promoting opportunities for supporters to make gifts in wills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced Estates Officers to join our small Estates and Facilities team at an exciting time as we expand our Hospice site and retail portfolio.
Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease, caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for people’s wishes. We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy. Our dedicated Business Development teams and retail portfolio of shops raise vital funds to deliver this care.
These roles will support the management of services, facilities and buildings for all Willen Hospice locations, specifically in relation to routine maintenance and projects to improve services within the hospice and shops.
A competent knowledge of general building, electrics, plumbing and carpentry skills is essential, in addition to a working knowledge of planned preventative maintenance, and good understanding of Health & Safety. You will be expected to maintain up to date knowledge of current legislation and hold full Driving Licence.
