This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Wellbeing Advisor Assistant with experience of working within a children and young people, to work within a multi-disciplinary wellbeing advice services team to increase and improve emotional and mental health provision within local communities for 11–24-year-olds in the West London CCG area.

The Senior Wellbeing Adviser will be a part of our Youth Services team and will work to deliver mental health services for young people and the adults who support them. The Senior Wellbeing Adviser will co-ordinate and deliver a diverse portfolio of wellbeing services including the provision of 1:1 practical wellbeing advice and support to young people (mainly aged 16-25), facilitation of peer support groups, delivery of workshops and trainings and co-ordinate awareness-raising campaigns on occasion.

This post will enable the post-holder to develop a wide range of project coordination and evaluation skills. The position will suit an individual who is self-motivated, an excellent communicator and data competent, with an interest in quality improvement, line management, an understanding of child development and mental health, as well as a passion to support services for children, young people and their families.

The post holder will also work alongside colleagues and partners in the Local Authority, CAMHS, educational settings where interventions are being delivered and other relevant mental health providers.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide practical mental health focused short term casework to young people through 1:1 face to face appointments 
• To develop, co-ordinate and deliver workshops and training to groups of children and young people 
• To raise and escalate safeguarding concerns effectively with partners to ensure children and young people are effectively safeguarded
• Signpost referrals for children and young people with more complex needs to the relevant service. 
• Coordinate referrals and booking in sessions 
• Conduct regular line management with one Wellbeing Advisor working closely with them as a team. 
• To undertake data collection, analysis and monitoring to evaluate the effectiveness of service provision 
• To produce impact reports and summaries, using IT and statistical programs  
• Routinely measure clinical outcomes, in line with the CYP-IAPT program.   
• Maintain comprehensive records of all training and clinical activity in line with both health and education service protocols and use these records and outcome data to inform decision-making.  
• Complete all requirements relating to data collection and report clinical outcomes and service access data into the digital patient record system, CYP IAPTUS.  
• To assist in the formulation and delivery low-intensity psychological treatments based on evidence-based literature and research to support best practice in clinical work. Interventions may include guided self-help, and treatment might be individual or in psychoeducational groups. This work includes delivery face to face, virtual and Telephone.  
• Engage in robust managerial and clinical supervision, identifying the scope of practice of the individual post-holder within the role, and working safely within that scope.   
• Attend multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meetings relating to referrals or children and young people in treatment, where appropriate, both for personal educational benefit in discussion with supervisors, and to provide direct assistance.   
• Work in collaboration with school staff, parents, children, young people, and the wider community to enhance and broaden access to mental health services.

Role responsibilities:

The Staffordshire Macmillan Welfare Benefits Advice Service based at Disability Solutions West Midlands, supports people affected by cancer living in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate who is committed to help Arty-Folks flourish within both the mental health and creative sector in Coventry and Warwickshire.  You will hold fast to all that is unique and special about Arty-Folks. 

Our new CEO will build the team and organisational structure that will take Arty-Folks forward as we transition from our current CEO and Founder who is retiring in the next 2 years.Since the pandemic, Arty-Folks has more than tripled the number of people we support, and demand for our service that provides immediate access continues to grow. Our new CEO will lead our expansion plans.

The role requires strategic leadership and operational oversight that ensure the charity's growth and ability to handle increasing demand, while maintaining the high quality of its services. It is essential that as the head of a small team our CEO is closely connected to our day-to-day operations whilst maintaining a strategic viewpoint that drives innovation, co-production, fundraising, and collaborations.

Responsibilities

Strategy

• Working with the Board to articulate a clear and compelling vision for growth with realistic and measurable goals for scaling our program and social impact.
• Communicating effectively between the Board of Trustees and our team, and ensuring daily activities align with the organisation's strategic plan and KPI’s.
• Working with the Board of Trustees to mitigate organisational risks and enable decisions that will protect against major business disruption
• Ensuring business plans progress efficiently while ensuring required resources are available.
• Developing effective collaborations with VCSE organisations, the NHS, Public Health and community partners to provide our members access to a wide range of services.

Stability

• Overseeing the development and optimisation of the organization's infrastructure, including technology, facilities, and human resources, to support increased capacity.
• Overseeing the robust financial management of our finances to ensure long-term sustainability, compliance, and efficiency.
• Developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that builds and nurtures strong relationships with existing and prospective funders.
• Building capacity by recruiting top talents as Trustees, staff or volunteers, offer training and support to equip them with the skills needed and to develop their leadership skills.
• Supporting our staff team with professional development, good working conditions, supportive management, and regular performance appraisals.

Scalability

• Ensuring evidence-based systems for monitoring and evaluating the impact of our service are implemented, using service user data and feedback to make informed decisions and adjustments.
• Writing high quality impact reports that are comprehensive, transparent, and wellstructured to effectively communicate outcomes and social return on investment.

You will be supported by and work alongside our Artistic Director who will be stepping down from her current CEO role.

Annual Holiday - 29 days including statutory holidays (pro rata)
Probationary Period - 6 months

Rate of pay - £36,000 per annum pro rata (£21,600 for 3 days/wk)
The company has a contributory pension scheme with NEST.

Salary Range: £25,500 to £29,500 per annum (depending on experience)

About the role

You will:

-Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people children and young people experiencing, or at risk, of homelessness. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.

-Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Homelessness Outreach Project.

-You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for homeless children and young people.

Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. The salary offered will reflect the candidate’s experience and skills.
