We are recruiting a high energy and hands on Garden Manager to work closely with the Senior Leadership team at Sufra to support the development and expansion of the community garden, and manage the team of garden staff and volunteers. This is an exciting time in the development of St. Raphael’s Edible Garden, as we are looking for an experienced Garden Manager to oversee the next steps in the development of the site, deliver a range of learning outcomes and fully implement, manage and further develop all aspects of the garden project.
Alongside practical educational outdoor experience, the successful candidate will understand how to design educational programmes that are accessible and engaging for a range of audiences, including school children and young people, adults with additional needs, and wider community. Project management and organisational skills are also essential. FOOD Club Support Worker will support all aspects of the day-to-day running of the programme, to ensure the clubs have high standards of service delivery.

Main Responsibilities:
Our FOOD (Food On Our Doorstep) programme aims to: provide regular access to a sustainable supply of food to people at risk of food insecurity; encourage families to access local support services and be signposted to other agencies; increase disposable income for local families to improve life chances and wellbeing; reduce the amount of food being sent to landfill in the UK by utilising surplus food.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
1. Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day running of the programme to ensure the clubs have high standards of service delivery.
2. Supporting the FOOD Club Coordinator to carry out regular compliance checks to ensure the quality and safety of the service, in order to protect service users and Family Action.
3. Ensuring all aspects of the role are carried out in line with food safety/hygiene standards.
4. Ensure volunteers are using up-to-date allergies forms to prevent any risk to service users.
5. Support the FOOD Club Coordinator with financial checks, stock control, recruitment, induction and training of volunteers.
6. Recording accurate data to enable the FOOD Club Coordinator to report on KPIs, including uptake of the scheme, service user income, and the positive financial impact on families.
7. Encourage regular attendance at FOOD Clubs to ensure income is maintained and to prevent food wastage.
8. Provide regular feedback to the FOOD Club Coordinator on the quality of food and resources from suppliers.

About the organisation:
The Grenfell 'Education Hub' will open later this year to serve those most affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The hub will provide educational support to children and young people, their families, and local schools.
A consultation process in 2023 and 2024 about the needs of the community and the bereaved and survivors led to proposals for an educational ‘hub’. This will comprise a wide range of professionals including four specialist teachers, an Educational Psychologist, a Speech and Language Therapist, an Occupational Therapist, a Careers Coordinator, and a Family Support Worker. Their time will be divided between direct work with children and families in the ‘Hub’, and support for local schools. The activity of the hub aims to;
• Provide good quality educational support to as many children and young people as possible

Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports about 3,000 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 140 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.

Partner Stewardship

The Role
The Primary Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting children affected by the Grenfell tragedy. Working closely with families and primary schools, you will help identify individual needs, develop tailored solutions, and advocate for children’s education and wellbeing.
You will:
- Conduct baseline assessments to understand children's specific needs.
- Provide advice and guidance to parents on school applications, transitions, and educational rights.
- Liaise between families and schools, ensuring teachers are informed about children's needs and support.

The Role
The Inclusion Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting children and young people affected by the Grenfell tragedy. Working within the Education Hub and local schools, you will help enhance learning experiences, provide tailored interventions, and ensure inclusive practices for children with SEN.
You will:
- Deliver one-to-one and group-based interventions, including after-school programs and small group teaching sessions tailored to specific learning needs.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to support the development of tailored learning plans.
- Work closely with families, schools, and community partners to provide holistic support for children with SEN.
- Act as a liaison between families and schools to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting children.
- Provide trauma-informed guidance to families, teachers, and school staff, focusing on emotional regulation and academic success.
- Support teachers in implementing inclusive strategies and differentiated instruction within the classroom.
- Facilitate restorative conversations between schools and families to strengthen relationships.
- Deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for school staff on SEN best practices.
- Create and distribute accessible learning resources and tools to support inclusive education.
- Regularly review pupil progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of children and families.
About You

The Role
The Occupational Therapist at the Education Hub will provide specialist assessment, intervention, and support for children and young people affected by the Grenfell Tragedy. The therapist will work with children from early years through secondary education, helping them overcome sensory, motor, and functional challenges to enhance their learning and well-being.
You will:
- Work 1:1 and in groups to support children’s fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and schools to promote children’s development and independence.
- Deliver tailored intervention plans that address learning barriers, motor skills, and sensory integration.
- Provide trauma-informed therapy to children and families affected by adversity.
- Work closely with the Speech and Language Therapist and Educational Psychologist to develop holistic support strategies.
- Offer specialist advice and training to parents, carers, and education professionals.
- Assess needs, produce detailed reports, and contribute to Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) assessments.
About You

Job Summary
Young Responders is an exciting project that started delivering street first aid sessions during 2023 as part of St John Ambulance. The project was created to engage and empower young people from diverse communities who face the greatest health inequities to become active health citizens, through practical physical first aid and mental awareness sessions relevant to the challenges they face.
The programme is aimed at young people aged 11 to 25, who would not typically come through our doors delivering first aid training to young people from under-served communities. In 2023 the Young Responders team delivered session to almost 16,000 Young People and over 2024 they aim to reach a further 20,000 Young People, if not more.
Working as part of the team as a Facilitator you will support the growth of the service and be responsible for directly leading and delivering first aid training sessions with community organisations and educational settings. This role will also offer pastoral support to our growing Volunteer team offering mentoring and guidance to those delivering sessions supporting their welfare and wellbeing.
This is a 35 hours per week role and we are looking for someone who is empathetic and feels passion about supporting Young People. The role is to cover London so travel is essential.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience in Youth Work or working with young people in a community context
- Experience of planning and/or the delivery of community-based training
- Experience of safeguarding and willing to undertake Safeguarding training relevant to the role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, verbally and in writing
- Understanding of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and issues around social mobility
- Ability to work well in a team and able to motivate young people and volunteers
- Due to the nature of the role you will need to hold a full, UK driving licence (maximum 6 points) and have access to your own vehicle

- Work with the Partnerships Manager to identify and build partnerships with local organisations and educational settings to support project delivery

- Liaise with the Delivery Teams to promote the project in the community
- Effectively provide pastoral support and guidance to the Volunteer team to ensure their welfare and wellbeing
- Be aware of the contextual safeguarding issues that might arise, raising concerns and supporting young people in accordance with St John Ambulance policy
- Ensure training sessions held in the community are risk assessed and registered as per current St John Ambulance procedures
