This new Project Worker role will support the delivery of a varied range of projects across our young people services, also offering opportunities to contribute to the development of exciting, new, youth-led initiatives. As part of your role as Project Worker, you will support in the development and delivery of our young people’s website, Shore, as well as providing non-judgemental and anonymous advice and support via our chat and email service.

About The Respect Young People’s Service (RYPS)

The Respect Young People’s Service (RYPS) provides high quality, training, consultation and support for practitioners working with young people who harm. They create innovative, evidence based intervention to promote behaviour change and reduce the risk of harm. There are 2 main branches of the work: young people who harm parents or carers and young people who harm in intimate relationship abuse 

About the role:

This is an exciting and innovative opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational lead to galvanise the response to CAPVA (Child or adolescent to parent violence or abuse) within the Merseyside area. This is a second tier role which involves coordinating, training and supporting professionals to recognise and respond to CAPVA.  The postholder will be engaging with a variety of professionals who work across services dedicated to children and young people including health, education, early help and children’s services.

The aim of the role is to remove the barriers families face in accessing support by ensuring that staff in universal services can recognise and respond to CAPVA. Working to reduce the stigma and shame associated with CAPVA and ensuring that parents can reach out in confidence that they will be listened to and supported. 

The role involves mapping and coordinating current CAPVA intervention to identify systemic gaps in provision. The post holder will be responsible for developing and building a delivery plan focusing on identified gaps, building on current provision and providing training in identified areas of need. They will need to bring together the insights of service users, practitioners, specialist organisations and researchers to build solutions. 

Extensive CAPVA knowledge is not required as full training will be given. A background of working with young people who harm and training experience is essential as is a non judgemental approach.

Main Tasks:

• Map existing CAPVA provision and available referral pathways in Merseyside.

• Build relationships with key statutory and voluntary agencies

• Design and develop a comprehensive training needs assessment to inform the training program using a variety of methods to meet the need of services and families in Merseyside

• Deliver CAPVA awareness training to service managers and practitioners working with families and young people 

• Set up a CAPVA multi agency steering group 

• Work with local organisations and service users to identify need and co-develop plans for services

• Train identified practitioners to deliver Respect Young People’s Programme (training will be given).

• Support practitioners delivering CAPVA intervention with casework enquiries

• Support services to address barriers to engagement and improve inclusivity 

• Generate detailed reports on training activities, implementation progress, and impact on performance metrics for funders.

Job Title: Fostering Supervising Social Worker

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our East Sussex Transitional team. You will be based at the YMCA office in Eastbourne but will be visiting our seven properties around Eastbourne each week, meeting with residents in their homes and at the office - main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing

• You will hold a caseload of young people who are housed across our sites with the support of the team.Support provided is light touch, and a good knowledge of partner agencies is essential for relevant signposting
• Interview young people to assess their suitability for our housing
• Support young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules in preparation for independent living.Helping young people navigate shared living skills is key to this role and includes facilitating house meetings, rotas and cleaning sessions
• Support young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent and liaise with housing benefit
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people
• Complete Occupancy Sign up and induction with incoming residents
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent, ASB or breaches of Health and Safety, using restorative practices

Purpose
The Marketing Assistant is a varied role, working primarily in our Supporter Relations team, but also supporting other areas of the Fundraising and Communications team.
The primary focus of this position is to provide an excellent customer experience for CBM supporters so that every interaction is carried out with excellence, integrity and efficiency. This will help to create and be part of a supporter experience that develops and maintains long-term relationships with dedicated individuals and churches across the UK. The Marketing Assistant will ensure supporters feel valued and engaged with CBMs work.

On a day-to-day basis the position holder will be engaging with supporters by phone, email and writing, in responding to a wide range of enquiries, and carrying out administrative activities associated with marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials.

The successful applicant requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as confidence to make outbound phone calls to build relationships, thank supporters, to share updates on our work, and ask for donations to build relationships, grow supporter engagement and maximise long-term income.
The position is part of a dedicated and enthusiastic Fundraising and Communications team, and part of this role is to provide additional administrative support to the wider team, specifically in areas such as 121 supporter communications to fundraisers doing events, churches, and legacy and in memoriam supporters.

Key Responsibilities
1. Inbound enquiries (40%)
Respond to the needs of CBM supporters and the public through the handling of inbound calls and emails in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.

This includes:
a. Taking and processing donations over the telephone.
b. Handling requests, feedback and complaints in a respectful and timely manner, and offering solutions when appropriate.
c. Updating supporter records on the Customer Relationship Management system (currently Salesforce) and carrying out mail or email follow-up when required.
d. Responding to emails in the giving inbox, directing queries appropriately and maintaining organised records of communication.
e. Co-ordinating and responding to comments made on CBM’s social media platforms.

2. Outbound 121 communications (30%):
Carry out outbound calls to potential and existing supporters to inspire donations and explain over the telephone how support will transform lives, following set briefs and guidelines, but when applicable engaging supporters in conversation in a non-scripted approach. This includes:
a. Regular outbound calls and emails include thanking and stewardship communications, asking for support by Direct Debit, clarifying Gift Aid statuses, and discussing the possibility of supporting the charity in a Will.
b. Update the outcome of calls on supporter records on the CRM system.
c. Process donations made over the phone, carrying out mail or email follow-up when required, using existing materials and letter templates.
d. Refer follow up actions that are outside of the team’s remit to the relevant team or individual.
e. Contribute to the creation and development of guidelines for in- and out-bound telephone conversations.

3. Additional administrative duties (30%):
Perform a variety of other administrative tasks to support the wider fundraising team:
a. Data inputting, preparation and reports.
b. Updating and proofing fundraising materials.
c. Supporting speaker and church coordination when required.
d. Co-ordinating the stock and the distribution of supporter materials and fundraiser resources.
e. Mailing out church packs, thank you letters, and personalised communications, such as handwritten cards.
f. Liaise with colleagues and attend meetings to ensure up-to-date knowledge of CBM’s work.
g. Help develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, which reflects the ambitions of CBM.

About the role:

This is exciting opportunity for motivated, strategic development operations professional with experience of leading fundraising operations teams.

In this role, the Head of Strategy and Operations will create and lead a world-class development operations function, play a pivotal role in developing and planning the Museum's major capital campaign, and embed best practice in fundraising and information management across the Development directorate.

The postholder will manage the Development directorate's strategy development and delivery planning, and is responsible for campaign management, research, stakeholder data and insight, fundraising proposition development, reporting, gift management, business processed, and compliance. The role drives, facilitates and underpins activity across the Development department and makes a significant contribution to the Museum's fundraising and stakeholder engagement activity.

This is an exciting time for the British Museum. We are embarking on our Western Range project - one of the biggest museum redevelopment projects anywhere in the world. This physical transformation is in the service of an intellectual transformation. We are rethinking how we display our collection - the most holistic and ambitious redisplay in the Museum's history. We have appointed world-renowned architect Lina Ghotmeh to rejuvenate and redevelop our Western Range - accounting for over a third of our galleries. The Development directorate will enable this transformation by delivering a major capital campaign, in which the Head of Strategy and Operations will play a central role.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Lead the development and delivery of the Museum's fundraising strategy, including the capital campaign, working closely with senior leadership to set targets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Inspire and manage the team to implement cutting-edge tools, data systems, and practices to analyst donor behaviour, ensure operational efficiency, and drive revenue growth.
• Develop and implement a prospect research strategy, aligning stakeholder data with CRM operations to optimize fundraising opportunities and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and standards, manage risks related to stakeholder data, and make recommendations for system and structural improvements.
• Oversee the Museum's CRM database, ensuring efficient data management and analysis of gift information to support donor stewardship.

About you:

• Degree or equivalent experience and fundraising industry network memberships.
• Experience of a senior role in a major fundraising campaign.
• Experience of leading fundraising operations teams in the cultural sector, higher education, a charity, or not for profit organisation.
• Experience of leading change.
• Tax efficient giving, charity compliance and data protection.
• Ability to speak with authority on regulatory and technical issues adjusting to the audience.
• Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent people management skills, with experience of leading teams, developing staff, and motivating colleagues to achieve ambitious targets.
