Radley College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and forward-thinking Radleian Society Manager to lead and develop the College’s alumni relations programme. Over the last two years Alibi, a South West-based Arts organisation since the early 80s, has been through a period of transition which has seen it reinvent itself as a venue for children and young people, welcoming 1000s of families, school children and members of our community through its doors. JOB DESCRIPTION:

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance 

· Prepare financial management information including regular cash flow forecasts, reports, budgets, grant claims and management accounts for project managers, CEO, Board of Trustees and funders

· Ensure all statutory financial and other records, compliances and related inspections are met on time and records kept with regard to PAYE, NI, VAT, Companies House, Charities Commission, insurance, pension provision, audit requirements and annual reports

· Working closely with the CEO, prepare project and annual budgets, liaising with relevant staff

· Provide support and guidance to all budget holders for the effective management of budgets

· Maintain all financial systems and records for the organisation, including financial administration relating to general ledger, audit trails, Theatre Tax Relief, banking, petty cash management, staff expense claims and credit control

Building & Operations 

· Ensure appropriate licensing and insurance is in place

· Organise the supply of utilities to Emmanuel Hall

· Manage delivery of IT tech support contract and others as required

· Management of contractors and suppliers e.g. cleaner, electrician, waste collection

· Management of supplies necessary for smooth running of the building e.g. hand towels, stationery, cleaning products

· Management of general maintenance

Health & Safety

· Support the CEO in creating and implementing the Health & Safety Policy

· Co-ordinate Health & Safety administration, including monitoring, reporting and training

· Ensure H&S information is communicated to all staff, project staff, users and visitors as appropriate

· Undertake training and responsibilities such as Deputy Safeguarding Officer, first aider etc as required

Governance

· Provide an effective Company Secretary function

· Organise Board and sub-committee meetings, co-ordinating, minuting and drafting reports as required

· Support the Board to ensure governance and Charity Commission requirements are met

Human Resources

· Provide effective and efficient human resource systems to support the delivery of the organisation’s objectives, including administering payroll, managing pension schemes and monitoring hours and absence etc

· Contribute to pay strategy working closely with the CEO

· Issue contracts for all project staff

· Keep up to date with all relevant employment legislation

· Responsible for personnel related paperwork, including project staff allowances, holiday pay, and preparing payslips

Team Responsibilities

 WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

You'll have experience as a General Manger, though this may not be within the Arts Industry. You’ll be happy managing your own workload within a small and fast-paced team.

Essential Skills & Experience

· Confident using Outlook and Microsoft Office programmes

· Confident managing your own workload and prioritising tasks

· Experience of setting, managing and reporting against budgets

· Experience managing financial admin e.g. invoicing, petty cash

· Experience of managing HR

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Salary £30,000 pro rata,

Fixed term 9 month contract, with the intention to extend funding dependent.

Start date is flexible.

The post is for three days (24 hours) a week.  However, sometimes we’ll need you to work flexibly to meet the needs of the programme of activity – including occasional evening and weekend work.  Equally, we’re happy to discuss flexible ways of working to accommodate caring responsibilities etc.

You’ll be based at our home, Emmanuel Hall, but we’re open to a hybrid working pattern.

Playskill is a Hertfordshire based charity supporting pre-school children with physical disabilities & delays and their families. Across two sites in Watford and Hemel Hempstead, our work helps to build family resilience in the pivotal early years of a child’s life. Our specialist early intervention work delivering multi-disciplinary therapeutic play sessions, parent training/modelling, family social respite events and family support provides holistic family centred work aiming to build foundational skills for life. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Physiotherapist to work in an interdisciplinary team alongside an Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, specialist workers, family support workers and the families/carers of the children within groups in Hemel Hempstead on Fridays. 

As a Clinical Care Manager, you will also play a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical operations within the charity. Providing strategic direction and leadership to therapy teams, ensuring alignment with the charity’s mission and goals including the recruitment, training, and performance of therapy staff; fostering a supportive and effective work environment. You will be responsible for ensuring that our children and families receive the highest standard of care while supporting our dedicated team of therapists.

This role requires an experienced physiotherapist with excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a deep commitment to service delivery, clinical governance and quality improvement to ensure the highest standards of care. You must be able to engage with other agencies to ensure collaborative practice for best therapeutic outcomes. As a self-starter, you will be able to use your own initiative, problem solve and prioritise, with good planning and organisational skills. You will be expected to have a positive, resilient attitude, be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible and adaptable.

Purpose of the job

UK Youth are seeking an exceptional Grants Manager to lead our grant-making processes, ensuring effective distribution of funds to youth-focused organisations. You will play a key role in managing relationships with grantees, supporting capacity-building initiatives, and ensuring funding is used effectively to drive positive outcomes for young people.

Reporting to the Head of Network Development, as part of a wider team leading our network development initiatives, you’ll be responsible for be line managing a Grants Officer and providing much needed and valued support for a sector that delivers life changing impact for young people in a difficult, underinvested landscape. You’ll have opportunity to lead a function that’s committed to working with young people and using equitable, innovative principles and approaches to funding (such as unrestricted, multi-year funds). You’ll also work collaboratively across the organisation and externally to amplify impact for young people across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full grant-making cycle, from application and assessment to award, monitoring, and evaluation.

• Develop and implement grant-making approaches that align with the charity’s objectives, and funding principles, strategies and priorities  e.g. building on our youth participation practices.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with grantees, funders, and sector stakeholders, working collaboratively and cross functionally with internal colleagues with work related to grants.

• Work closely with youth organisations to understand their needs and provide tailored funding and capacity-building support.

• Work with Impact colleagues to monitor and evaluate grants, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and identifying opportunities for impact and learning.

• Ensure a transparent and equitable grant-making process, embedding best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion.

• Work with Impact and External Relations colleagues to support and prepare reports and impact assessments for internal and external stakeholders, including trustees and funders.

• Support the maintenance and development of partnerships and new funding opportunities  to enhance the charity’s grant-making capacity, including the IVAR community .

• Stay informed about trends in youth work and  funding, sharing insights to shape the charity’s approach.

• Ensure the CRM and grant management systems support data-driven decision-making and reporting, providing training and support to colleagues as needed.

• Support the development, and continuous improvement of the charity’s CRM and grant management systems to ensure efficient and effective grant processing.

Experience we're after

• Previous line management experience and a proven track record of successfully leading a grants function in a previous role.

• Experience in grant-making, funding management, or a related role within the charity sector.

• Strong understanding of youth sector challenges and the role of funding in strengthening organisations.

• Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple grants simultaneously.

• Analytical skills to assess funding applications and evaluate impact.

• Strong relationship management and communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience working with charities and funders.

• Financially numerate with the ability to set and manage budgets.

• Knowledge of funding compliance, financial reporting, GDPR and charity governance

· Assess the needs and strengths of the referred young person and help them to identify individual goals to achieve desired change (Goals Based Outcome Assessments)

· Provide support to young people facing a wide range of issues, in both one to one and group settings to address emerging needs and help build resilience, develop coping strategies and improve their mental health & wellbeing

· Provide advice, guidance and signposting through a range of activities, to young people and their families, that will connect them to resources that will support young people’s wellbeing

· Gain input from and provide input to parents and carers regarding the support offered to their children and young people, recognising the valuable role they play in their child’s wellbeing

Develop and maintain relationships with key school staff in primary schools and Schools Based Needs Team

Impact, Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting

· To record accurately individual engagement and evidence of change using appropriate outcomes data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated

· To record all activities and administration associated with support provided to a child/young person

· To collect and share case studies that demonstrate good practice and the impact of interventions on outcomes for children and young people

· Work with colleagues and line manager to ensure that your work is aligned to organisational strategy, key objectives and annual plans and budgets

• Salary: £48,000 per annum FTE (£38,400 pro-rata) 

Although we work remotely with a team that is spread nationwide, this role does require someone that is based in or close to London in order to deliver our Westminster programme of activities.

We work flexibly and it won’t come as a surprise to you that we understand the challenge of caring commitments. We trust you to manage your time, but we do expect that most of your hours are worked during standard office hours so that we can collaborate as a team and engage with our coalition partners. Our core working day is a Thursday. As a fully remote team this helps us to stay in touch and connect.

The Coalition has experienced significant growth over the last two years and with early years firmly on the political agenda, we expect this to continue. Our hope is that this role will evolve and the successful candidate will continue to progress within this growing and impactful organisation. 

For the last two years, the Coalition has been incubated by the Women’s Budget Group, the UK’s leading feminist economic think tank. Our growth means that we are now ready to spin out into a separate and independent legal entity. That means that your employment contract will initially be with WBG on behalf of the Coalition but will then transfer across to the newly constituted organisation. What you can expect to be doing 

• Whilst the coalition currently has almost 40 core member organisations who shape our policy and lead on our shared campaigns, we are looking to grow our network of supporter organisations – these are partners who share our belief in the value of early education and childcare even if they do not work directly in early years policy. The Campaign Manager will lead a new project to identify, onboard, engage and grow this supporter network, ensuring they remain up to date with the latest research produced by the Coalition and its partners. 

• With the support of the Head of Advocacy and our external comms partner, develop a new narrative to raise the profile of the early education workforce and deliver a series of campaign moments across paid, earned and owned media to support this work. 

• Deliver ongoing comms and campaign projects designed to grow the coalition’s profile across a range of stakeholders. 

• Analyse and scope political developments related to the early education and childcare workforce, identifying opportunities to engage and influence. 

• Support the organisation of Coalition in person and online events. 

• Engage collaboratively with Coalition members to coordinate and amplify their collective and individual voices and work. 

• Support with the creation, writing and publication of communication materials including blogs, case studies, press releases and research reports.

About you

As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic abuse, of supporting women involved with Children’s Social Services and Early Help, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

Are you passionate about quality care and driving continuous improvement? We're looking for a Quality and Performance Manager to lead on audits, data analysis, policy implementation and quality initiatives at Mais House, our care home in Bexhill-on-Sea. You’ll work closely with local teams and the central Quality & Care Standards team to maintain high standards, share best practice, and support improvements across other RBL care homes.

This role offers 37.5 hours per week, with shifts between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday with salary between £45,793 to £49,506 per annum

What you will be doing:

- Plan and deliver a programme of audits, ensuring action plans are implemented and monitored.
- Communicate findings with Registered Managers, department leads, and senior care staff to drive service improvements.
- Identify trends, lessons learned and support the development of robust quality strategies.
- Work closely with clinical colleagues to implement best practice guidance and evaluate its impact.
- Lead and support quality improvement projects within the care home.
- Liaise with external quality teams and regulators to implement local initiatives.
- Support audits at other RBL care homes, collaborating with other Quality and Performance Managers to align standards and share learning.
- Facilitate clinical governance and audit group meetings.

What we re looking for:

- Level 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience in audits, quality assurance, and service improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ongoing CPD in care quality or person-centred practice
- Full UK driving licence

You may also have Level 5 Diploma or equivalent, RGN (Adults) qualification and/or training in audit or quality improvement.

We are looking for an experienced Grants Commissioning Manager to join our Grants & Commissioning Team based in Portsmouth. The Commissioning Manager will support the Head of Commissioned Grants with all elements of the commissioning cycle including understanding need, designing projects, performance management of delivery and reporting of impact as well as providing and developing commissioning and project support, in line with RNRMC’s commissioning and partnership funding model.The role will work with internal and external stakeholders regarding the performance of grants programmes to ensure quality, evidenced outputs, and value for money of projects.

In addition, you may be asked to line manage team members, taking responsibility for actively and proactively supporting them to achieve in their post.

Experience and Background

You will be an experienced commissioning manager with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be diplomatic and approachable with a strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing.  You will possess excellent problem-solving skills and judgement alongside a meticulous, accurate and disciplined approach to work. You will demonstrate good organisational skills and be able to prioritise a varied and busy workload and deliver to deadlines.

You will have strong people management skills and experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders and will inspire confidence, provide credible leadership, build and maintain relationships plus motivate and drive towards delivery of change at pace. 

You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, be able to think strategically to resolve problems and make recommendations and present options for approval.

Hours of Work

Hours of work are 35 hours per week, 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.

We have a friendly, supportive, and inclusive environment with a hybrid working approach of 60% in office and 40% home-working.

Salary

The salary range for the post is between £ 38,000 to £ 45,000 per annum, according to skills and experience.
