Collaboration: Work closely with the executive team, head of programme delivery, and communications staff to align fundraising strategies with the overall organisational goals and messaging.
Budget Oversight: Manage the fundraising budget efficiently, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve maximum impact.

Job Purpose

Job Purpose
This position will lead the established department/s in order to deliver on key priority areas of the Strategic Plan in the areas of: breeding for unfavorable environments, breeding for favorable environments, quantitative genetics and biometrics (related to plant breeding), seed and delivery systems, and germplasm evaluation, host plant resistance, and including market access and nutrition traits and abiotic stress tolerance. The position will have a key role in strengthening the Institute’s role as a key provider of dynamic and innovative pre-breeding and breeding research outcomes leveraging IRRI’s scientific expertise, international convening role, trusted advisor status, and extensive partnerships network. The Rice Breeding Innovations Research Director is responsible for assuring success in a global context, while focusing on South Asia, Southeast Asia and Eastern and Southern Africa. The position also requires an understanding of breeding information management systems, intellectual property, and an ability to work with the private sector with the assistance of business development specialists. In addition to being a recognized international expert in the field, the successful applicant will have the leadership and change management experience, standing and personal qualities required to provide inspirational leadership to a group of Research Unit Leaders, and provide strategic guidance in research innovations, partnerships and delivery of programs and projects. Since 2018, Connect: North Korea (CNK) has grown from a small community start-up into an effective and impactful organisation with an annual income of approaching £500,000, mainly through grants from Trusts and Foundations. We now want to develop our individual giving programme to build our unrestricted income and secure our long term growth.
As our new Head of Individual Giving, you will be responsible for growing our income from our individual and corporate base to help us reach more vulnerable members of our community. About this role

About the Role
The Connection at St. Martins is based in the heart of London, in the most concentrated area of rough sleeping in the UK. We have an ambitious strategy to tackle rough sleeping in central London with those people who are most persistently on the streets. Building relationships of trust with clients is at the heart of our work. To achieve this in practice, we have a fully trauma informed approach across the whole charity with psychologists embedded in our service delivery teams.
Alongside running our busy day centre at Adelaide Street by Trafalgar Square, we are developing our access to accommodation. This includes a project to extend our scheme in Clapham with a new building during 2025. The extension will provide 3 additional studio flats and activity spaces. This is the first in a longer term goal to introduce more accommodation into our service portfolio so that we can house an additional 300 of our Adelaide Street clients by 2028. We are also keen to develop our links into health, through partnerships with the NHS and other treatment services. Finally, we would like to further improve our offer for women and for people with No Recourse to Public Funds.

Position: Trusts and Corporate Fundraising Manager
Salary: £43,937.00 per annum
Location: Hybrid with travel across Bedfordshire
Hours: Full-time, permanent
About the Role:
As Trusts and Corporate Fundraising Manager, you will design and implement a comprehensive fundraising programme to secure support from trusts, foundations, corporate partners, and the local community. Working closely with the CFO, you will lead efforts to meet the Trust’s strategic objectives, from organising events to nurturing long-term relationships with key funders. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference by raising funds that directly benefit students and educational initiatives across the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy that aligns with the Trust’s goals
- Secure funding from trusts, foundations, and corporate sponsors, including preparing compelling cases for support
- Build and manage strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, and community groups
- Oversee fundraising events and support PTA activities within schools
- Maintain fundraising data in line with GDPR and regulatory standards
About You:
You will need to be experienced fundraising professional, ideally with experience in trust and corporate fundraising. You will have a sound understanding of fundraising regulations and Gift Aid, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your ability to manage projects independently and build robust partnerships will be essential in driving forward the Trust’s fundraising ambitions.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience in Trust or Corporate fundraising
- Strong knowledge of fundraising regulations and Gift Aid
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to lead volunteer teams and manage multiple projects effectively
