The Fundraising Manager is responsible for delivering our fundraising strategy and increasing our income from various income streams.

The Fundraising Manager will work with colleagues across the service to develop and deliver our fundraising strategy. There may be line management of communications team staff and volunteers as part of the role. The role will focus on achieving our fundraising targets, expanding current income streams, and developing engagement and opportunities to support growth. That will include bid-writing, grant applications, community fundraising, and events.

The Senior Digital Marketing Officer is responsible for driving forward CBM UK’s digital fundraising, growing our online presence and directly contributing to the success of our fundraising efforts.
The position holder is the digital fundraising lead responsible for the coordination, development, delivery, and testing of stand-alone digital fundraising projects, and (where appropriate) support and integrate with offline activity and wider fundraising and communications campaigns.

1. Research and evaluate new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and other grant funders, maintaining a 12-month funding calendar.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Senior Programme Manager to coordinate the quality implementation of planned project activities and ensure timely sharing of lessons learned by the project partners.
- Manage all aspects of the project cycle with the implementing partners, including effective planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, financial and project asset management, reporting, and documentation.
- Liaise and work with Sightsavers Global Technical Leads (Disability Inclusion, Gender Inclusion, and Economic Empowerment), MERL, and other internal experts as required.
- Participate in the design and implementation of the project’s monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Review project partner funding agreements and ensure they are up to date.
- Build effective relationships with project partners and support longer-term relationships beyond the duration of the Shayiri Project by disseminating information and advocating for the project’s goals and the consortium’s work in general.
- Support project partners to identify their own technical and organisational capacity building needs and facilitate access to technical assistance resources and opportunities.
- Promote shared learning and collaboration between project partners by facilitating networking and periodic review meetings.
- Support project partners in the preparation of budgets and periodic forecasts, and monitor expenditure of project financial resources in liaison with the Finance Officer and the Senior Programme Manager.
- Be proactive in providing good quality information on case studies and interesting news stories relating to the programme to support the preparation of fundraising and advocacy materials.

Jobholder Requirements
Essential:
- A tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s degree or above) in social sciences or development studies.
- Significant experience in implementing projects, including experience in disability inclusion and gender mainstreaming.
- Experience in agribusiness-based interventions, working with relevant government departments/ministries.
- Experience in working with devolved County Government departments.
- Experience in providing technical assistance to partner organisations.
- Experience in designing and implementing data collection strategies and analysing data in MS Excel.
- Ability to travel to project implementation sites in Narok County.
Desirable:
- Previous experience of working for a donor-funded intervention.
- Familiarity with national legislation and policies in the field of disability, inclusion, and agribusiness.
- Experience in designing, managing, and carrying out advocacy work for social inclusion/disability projects.
- Knowledge of current issues and best practices in disability, UNCRPD, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and employment.

MAP’s Mission
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement in the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.
Job Purpose
MAP is in a period of ambitious growth and rapid development, as we respond to the massive humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and in the West Bank and Lebanon. The role of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is to provide leadership, drive and direction in the development and delivery of MAP’s new strategic ambition, maximising the charity’s sustainable impact.
This is a key role for MAP, and it is expected that the job holder would be making a long-term commitment to the organisation. The post-holder will be tasked with leading MAP to deliver on the strategic ambition of becoming a high impact, global £50 M+ income organisation which enables over 1 million Palestinians to access improved healthcare annually by 2028. MAP’s income in 2023 was £35 M and the forecast for 2024 is £47 M.
Duties and Key Responsibilities
Vision and leadership
- Provide vision, leadership, direction and drive to achieve MAP’s strategic ambition and mission.
- Drive forward organisational transformation, together with the Senior Management Team, always remaining true to MAP’s values and focus on being locally led.
- Ensure that the Board of Trustees and its appointed committees are supported in their responsibility to ensure robust governance of MAP and provide advice and information to the Trustees regarding organisational performance and direction.
- Ensure that the organisation embeds a focus on impact and the use of data in decision-making, course corrected as necessary during its development.
- Strengthen and protect MAP’s reputation externally and internally at all times, ensuring the effective mitigation and management of risks.
External relations and influence

Person Specification
Experience
- Experienced leader in the non-profit sector or public sector in a relevant field, preferably with experience of international development and work in complex, protracted emergencies.
- Track record of driving organisational change and delivering clear results.
- Experience implementing strategies and using data to inform decision-making.
- Experience of working with a Board and a good understanding of charity governance.
- Working at the Executive Director level or equivalent as part of the senior management team within a complex organisation with geographical spread.
- Evidence of understanding the needs of Palestinian communities living under occupation and as refugees.
- Evidence of understanding the complex political and diplomatic landscape charities working with Palestinians operate in.
- A clear understanding of the importance of shifting the balance of power and influence for disadvantaged groups and empowering marginalised communities.
- Line management of senior staff, preferably including management of staff at remote locations, and experience managing a diverse workforce.
- Track record of leading and representing organisations with multiple stakeholders and relationships and of building strong relationships of trust with partners and allies.

- Working in the international sector preferably in the Middle East and/or working in conflict settings.

Community Fundraising Related
Plan, develop and implement fundraising initiatives that appeal to community groups and associations. Devise community related products and resources that will aid community groups to further engage and raise funds.
Research, identify, apply for and secure new local level partnerships or one-off community type donations e.g. from Rotary/Lions Clubs, Musical Groups, Sports Clubs or Supermarket Charity of the Year.

Administer and thank gifts from Individuals including one off donors and first-time donors.

Maximise income by promoting Gift Aid and securing declarations in relation to eligible UK taxpayers.

Support the Community and Individual Giving Manager with an externally run Lottery and our Lottery Players recruitment and retention.

Work within the Code of Fundraising Practice as set by the Fundraising Regulator and adhere to all relevant financial procedures.
