This is an exciting opportunity to join Poppyscotland/RBL, to help deliver a new Scotland wide service offering debt and money advice to Scotland’s Armed Forces community.
As a Senior Benefits, Debt, and Money Adviser, you'll provide expert advice on debt, money, and welfare benefits, managing complex referrals, supporting with debt issues, Mandatory Reconsiderations, Appeals, and Tribunal representation. You'll supervise and train new staff, conduct file reviews, and assist senior colleagues with technical matters.
What You’ll Do:
- Maximise income through debt management and benefit calculations, including complex cases like Student Finance and Armed Forces Pensions.
- Advise on Scottish debt options (Bankruptcy, Debt Arrangement Scheme, Trust Deeds) and assist with overpayments, late claims, and backdating.
- Challenge benefit decisions, liaise with benefit offices, and gather evidence for appeals and tribunal representation.
- Manage caseloads, ensuring timely support and maintaining detailed case records using IT systems.
- Build relationships with local agencies and charities, providing advice and training on benefit issues.
- Assist the Regional Lead with Quality Assurance, conducting case reviews, identifying trends, and providing support to advisers.
- Support recruitment, induction, and training of new staff, including managing performance where needed.
- Deputise for the Regional Lead during their absence, handling new referrals, urgent issues, and queries from colleagues.
Poppyscotland offers a holistic Benefits & Debt advice service, with the expectation that the successful candidate will develop knowledge, skills & experience in welfare benefits (full training and supervision provided) to be able to support clients in challenging social security benefit decisions via the appeals process.
The role is homebased with occasional travel required throughout Scotland. This includes travel to home visits and tribunal locations. In addition, travel to team meetings and training, usually in Edinburgh, is required. You may also be required to attend national BDMA Service annual events held across the UK. We do cover travel expenses.
Living within Scotland area is essential in being able to undertake this role.
This position is also subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced PVG check.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience providing advice on welfare benefits and debt, with knowledge of Scotland’s insolvency processes (Minimal Asset and Full Administration Bankruptcies, DAS, Trust Deeds).
- Strong understanding of welfare benefits, including rates, payments, and calculations.
- Skilled in complex benefit calculations and challenging decisions.
- Experience in case submissions and tribunal representation for DWP and Social Security Scotland benefits.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults, particularly those with mental health issues.
- Ability to manage a caseload and handle personal administration.

About the role:

Established in October 2000, Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) is an independent charity providing a lifesaving rapid response emergency service to 5 million people across the whole of Yorkshire. The Role
As an Events Coordinator you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of events, from challenge events

About the role:
This role is based in Rochdale Police station along with some hybrid working, you must be prepared to travel across the borough of Rochdale.
As a CYP IDVA you will deliver specialist and enhanced support to Children and Young People aged 4-17 who have experienced Domestic Violence Abuse in the home. You will be responsible for providing high quality interventions to children & young people affected by DVA through the development of individually tailored & risk assessed support and safety plans. You will offer support through one-to-one sessions to address issues of self-esteem, manage emotions and feelings of blame and responsibility with the aim to improve understanding of abusive behaviour, healthy relationships and conflict resolution.
You will need:
To conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each CYP receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
To advocate on behalf of children and young people with experience of domestic abuse to ensure the diverse needs of children and young people using the service are met.
Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.
The ability to review the assessment of risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate and immediate action is taken in respect of any CYP facing significant harm, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes as required given the legal framework relating to the protection of children and the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.
To establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, with the intention of supporting children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse. Attend meetings as required.
Ideally a background in Social Worker, Domestic Abuse or Children & Young People services would be advantageous.

Our ideal Chief Operating Officer
- Senior level experience in an organisation with responsibility for developing, implementing and reviewing financial and strategic business plans
- Strong strategic finance and financial forecasting experience including working knowledge of charity SORP accounting, VAT, Gift Aid and balance of restricted and unrestricted income
- Proven skill and confidence in building, working with and interpreting complex financial spreadsheets and data; including the ability to model different financial scenarios and communicate effectively both with qualified finance professionals and non-finance colleagues
- Experience of working collaboratively to set and monitor organisational budgets and income targets, ensuring that accountability is embedded throughout the organisation and supporting organisational growth

About the role:
This role is based at either our Preston or Accrington Office. After six months probation you will be eligible to apply for hybrid working. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.
As a Triage & early Intervention worker you will be:
- Making initial contact assessing and providing information to victims/survivors.
- Providing any immediate safety and support needs for the victims/and their children(s) including safeguarding when required.
- Providing administrative support to our wider team to support them in the delivery of advocacy to victims/survivors of mainly domestic abuse.
- Liaising with the police and other agencies to ensure all relevant information is collected including safe contact numbers and consent from victims/survivors.
- Gathering feedback from service users and collating this into monthly reports and contributing to monitoring information for the service.
- Participating in regular supervisions and reviews.
You will need to:
- Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
- Understand the myths, facts and misconceptions about domestic abuse.
- Understand Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
- Understand the needs of victims/survivors of domestic abuse.
- Understand the effects of trauma and the importance of trauma informed practice.
- Have a good understanding of the Criminal Justice System.
- Have strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
- Demonstrate the ability to use IT applications competently including, Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and Case Management systems in order to keep accurate records and monitoring your performance.

This is a hybrid working role with the working hours split between our office in Plymouth and working from home, therefore, residence in the Devon & Cornwall area and a confidential home work space is required. There will also be occasional travel throughout Devon & Cornwall.

In this role you will be responsible for securing income from grant-making trusts and foundations for a variety of exciting projects. Your efforts will directly contribute to the success and growth of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.

Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the post.
The shift pattern for this role includes: Early 8-4pm and late 2pm-10pm - Monday to Friday and double or, 8am-3pm/3pm-10pm Saturday and Sunday. With some mid shifts. Working days also includes bank holidays.
What you'll do:
* Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
* Carrying out holistic assessments of new customers which incorporate relevant statutory referral information
* Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
* Key-working the most complex service-users with needs aligned with Drug and Alcohol dependency
* Creating support plans for providing appropriate services based on on-going assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to enable customers to progress in their recovery
* Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
* Providing support and access to relevant services to enable customers to continue their recovery and empower customers to self-manage their medication regimes through individual re-enablement programmes and informed decision making

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Family Support Coordinator to support our care teams in delivering a high-quality family support service in the region, working with families and professionals to ensure the families we support have access to the services they need.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for sourcing practical goods and services in the region, applying for grants and benefits, as well as working with other charities or community providers to obtain goods, equipment or funds for families that Rainbow Trust do not provide directly.
Having worked in a stressful or emotionally-demanding environment with an understanding of the complexities of working with children and families, you will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and strong networks with other organisation to provide meaningful assistance to the families we support.
