As a Residential Support Worker, you will work under the supervision and guidance of the Care Management Team, Senior Residential Support Workers, and Therapy Teams. You will support learners in both residential houses and the community, assisting with social and academic activities.
Our aim is to ensure all learners have equal opportunities to develop their independence and social skills, preparing them for adult life.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting learners with self-care and independence skills such as eating, drinking, washing, bathing, using the toilet, managing incontinence, dressing, mobility, and medication administration.
- Ensuring learners' care files are kept up to date and accurate.
- At the start of each shift, reviewing communication and log books, and liaising with staff at handover to ensure learners' needs are well documented and addressed.
- Establish supportive relationships with learners and encourage the development of stable relationships.
- Promote the emotional health and self-esteem of learners and support them through changes in their living situation and personal circumstances.

About you:
As a Social Worker, you’ll bring a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in childcare social work and an understanding of child development and the impact on behaviour of interrupted development.
As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll bring a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in childcare social work, and previous experience of completing adoption assessments (or similar), or family finding/supporting children in their adoptive families.

As Deputy Fundraising Director, Public Fundraising, you will:

Ideal skills and experience:

- A track record of planning, forecasting and budgeting, including developing investment cases and modelling income, return on investment and lifetime value over short, mid and long term horizons to drive decision-making and investment choices

Playskill is a Hertfordshire based charity supporting pre-school children with physical disabilities & delays and their families. Across two sites in Watford and Hemel Hempstead, our work helps to build family resilience in the pivotal early years of a child’s life. The Office Manager role is crucial to our very busy and friendly office of 14 people and is incredibly varied and interesting. About the role:
The IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. Have a relevant qualification or training, for example in domestic abuse, criminal justice, law, social work or other related area. Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector. Bring an excellent understanding of the criminal justice system and relevant legislation, with particular regard to legal and civil options, housing, benefits, matrimonial and children with experienced as a domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs.
You are skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. You have proven experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic abuse and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential and the ability to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision, and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

About the role:
The Advance Prison Advocate will support women on remand and those unsentenced within the prison setting, providing pre-release support; focused on Accommodation, Finance, debt & benefits, Family & significant others and Social inclusion.
The Prison Advocate will develop a referral pathway with the Offender Management team within the prison, for women to access the service and will work in partnership with the existing service providers operating within the prison. You will co-design a person-centred support and action plan with women accessing support, enabling you to support them to address their needs and any risks in relation to the interventions identified above including providing ‘through the gate support’. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women in custody.
You will have demonstrable experience and understanding of working with women in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally working with prisoners and/or their families.
You will build strong relationships with the Pre Release teams to ensure clients are able to maintain or access suitable accommodation, finance, benefits and debt, family and social inclusion support including negotiating terms on behalf of the women. Ensure that interventions are responsive to and meet the needs of women from diverse and minoritised backgrounds. This, together with referrals to wider partner organisations in the community, will ensure additional support needs are addressed post-release and continuity of support exists

About You:
To be successful as the Advance Prison Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
Knowledge and experience of the criminal justice system obtained through academic study, experience of working in the criminal justice system (or closely associated social system).
