Your responsibilities will include supporting and advocating for women and children, taking part in the on-call rota, managing day to day running of the refuge; health & safety, safeguarding, supporting the service and deputy manager.
Some of the key accountabilities are:

Providing practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles. This will include conducting key work sessions on a regular basis and keeping casework records up to date.

Welcoming new residents, explaining and arranging for them to sign occupancy agreements, ensuring that they are aware of their options for moving on to more permanent accommodation and to develop a proactive move on strategy for individual residents.

Establishing the risks to, and the needs of survivors of, domestic violence and their children through assessing their practical and emotional support needs throughout their stay at the refuge.

Developing individual support and risk management plans which address the risk of harm to survivors of domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse and their children, and to ensure that such plans are in place for each resident.

Ensuring that any issues in relation to safeguarding children or vulnerable adults are brought to the immediate attention of the service manager, or if unavailable another manager.

Working in partnership with other agencies and to advocate for survivors to ensure their needs are met.

We are looking for a high calibre temporary Senior Administrator to work with a national homelessness charity. A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. This postholder is the first contact for referrals made into a perinatal programme supporting migrant marginalised women who experience many barriers to accessing maternity care. The role requires excellent communication and the ability to be sensitive, patient and non-judgmental. Responsible for managing an empathetic, integrated and person centred experience for women referred for perinatal support.
Responsible for converting referrals into impactful support, keeping them informed by building rapport, sharing information about the project, providing resources and service details, maintaining ongoing effective communication as required, liaising with health professionals to ensure a joined up approach to service user wellbeing. Keeping referrers and project website up-to-date with service provision, documenting referral procedures and assisting with the sourcing and coordination of baby bundles for clients.

About the Role
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Making contact with women referred into the perinatal programme, using interpreters as required, sharing information about the service, answering questions and inviting them to attend scheduled groups where further support is offered. Communicating with other team members for support as required.
- Liaising with local health professionals and referrers to maintain strong relationships and clear referral pathways, responding to referrals, keeping referrers up-to-date and ensuring they have a clear understanding of the programme and can make appropriate referrals.
- Ensure all referrals and actions are logged onto the case management software, maintaining activity on the system by regularly inputting data and updating client notes.
- Administrative tasks, including the monitoring of the project email inbox, keeping the project website up to date, managing shared spreadsheets ensuring they’re up-to-date and assisting with the sourcing and coordination of baby bundles for clients
You must have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily, providing non-judgmental, sensitive communication with clients, using patience and active listening skills. You must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
The role is 14 hours per week which will need to be worked over a minimum of three working days, one being either a Monday or Wednesday. This is largely a community-based role, working from a project office with some home working.

Prospectus is excited to partner with a values-driven charity dedicated to providing specialist dementia support and advice for families. We are seeking an interim IT Consultant for a 6-month full-time role. This position offers hybrid working arrangements.
Our client is looking for someone who is a ‘doer’, a technical hands-on cyber security professional who has energy and a willingness to respond to a fast-paced working environment.
The IT Consultant with have overall technical responsibility for the charity’s network and telecommunications infrastructure, core and cloud applications and cyber security. Ensure that network uptime is maximised, network threats are detected and mitigated against and that technical team resources are managed accordingly. Your responsibilities will include implementing SLAs so that teams are working on specific targets, delivering a phone system project, and reviewing and recommending the current SD+ system, a regular program of PEN test and other cyber security arrangements. You will take charge of all cybersecurity initiatives within the charity’s IT department and serve as the primary point of contact for all IT matters, you will collaborate closely with the Head of IT and other IT team members, participating in relevant meetings and providing crucial information to committees and the Board of Trustees.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Cyber Security and Support Desk Service Management. We are looking for a highly motivated ‘hands-on’ self-starter, able to work autonomously to see plans through to conclusion. Along with a strong understanding of IT security strategies and proficiency in various IT tools, you should possess strong interpersonal and operational skills. You need to be an excellent communicator, capable of engaging and influencing both technical and non-technical audiences collaboratively.
