 As Skills Centre Manager, you will lead the Charity’s Skills Centre and Social Hub. This service supports vulnerable adults with a wide range of needs to be active members of the community, increase independence, develop life skills, and set goals and achievements to work toward.

 Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the smooth operational running of the Skills Centre via the management of a medium sized team of activity co-ordinators.
• Planning & developing a vibrant and refreshed timetable of activities / events which promotes independence, wellbeing and choice.
• Producing KPI reports and manage budget with support from CEO and Head of Finance.
• Being responsible for the collection, recording and safe storage of information about service users in the form of up-to-date confidential files and a daily register of attendance.
• Carrying out and update risk assessments / care plans / daily records to support annual reviews.
• Overseeing and transforming the Café into a fully operational social hub.
• Seeking opportunities to engage with the wider community in ways that promote the social inclusion of beneficiaries, as well as the service.
• Building and fostering relationships with professionals from adult social care and Health authorities.

The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting adults with disabilities, as well as experience working in an activities centre in a management position. A general understanding of the operational needs of a day centre/skills centre within a social care setting is key, as is an understanding of health and wellbeing leading to meaningful relationships (Mental Health signs and symptoms). You must also be computer literate and experienced in using or teaching others how to use Microsoft Office. An extroverted personality to continually motivate others is vital!

The Charity Manager will report directly to the Board of Trustees, and involve all aspects of running a successful charity. The successful candidate will share our passion for ensuring that people with disabilities and limited dexterity are able to dress independently wearing clothing of their choice.

Key elements of the Charity Manager role include strategy and business management, proven fundraising ability, staff and volunteer management, delivering quality services, and managing resources. Ambassadorial skills are key because the Charity Manager will be required to develop and maintain relationships with clients from a broad range of backgrounds, as well as health care professionals, businesses, suppliers and funders. As a small charity, we know that our people are critical to our success, so the ability to inspire and motivate others is essential.

Key Responsibilities

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

• Working with the Board of Trustees to develop, co-ordinate, and action the Charity’s strategy and business plan. Setting objectives and managing the challenges and conflicting priorities to ensure the viable running of the services we provide
• Ensure the Charity operates in accordance with the Charity Governance Code, its policies and procedures as well as best practices in order to fulfil all legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities
• Submitting accurate updates, annual returns and other necessary documents to the Charity Commission and Companies House
• Provide regular reports to the Board of Trustees, detailing operational performance, fundraising outcomes, and strategic initiatives

FUNDRAISING AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT

• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to support the organisation’s mission and growth objectives in conjunction with the Grants & Trusts Fundraiser
• Research, prepare and submit funding applications
• Source diverse income streams and funding to ensure long-term financial stability
• Handle the day-to-day finances of the organisation, managing bank accounts and investments and liaising with accountants and auditors
• Monitoring our income and expenditure against targets as laid out in the business plan
• Work with the Board of Trustees to set annual budgets and monitor spending
• Give external presentations showcasing Dressability’s work

OFFICE MANAGEMENT

• Day-to-day management of all paid employees and volunteers, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery
• Motivate and inspire staff and volunteers evaluating new projects and ways of working
• Main Office Manager and point of contact for employees, volunteers, trustees, visitors and those sharing the premises with Dressability
• Provide line management to the team, including monitoring standards, performance, the prioritisation of workloads, and conducting meetings with staff and volunteers as necessary
• Manage the recruitment of new employees, as well as securing a broad base of volunteers from the local community
• Manage health and safety on the premises as well as adherence to all policies and procedures
• Co-ordinate on-site events, including campaigns, meetings, press briefings, hosting visitors etc
• Liaise with the landlord for issues related to the shared premises

DELIVERING SERVICE QUALITY

• Develop standards and maintain the quality of the services Dressability provides
• Regularly monitor and evaluate the service to ensure quality and technical standards are met
• Establish new services for clients where appropriate such as outreach projects and access to services in clinical settings
• First point of contact for clients and team members when issues arise

Requirements

• Proven experience in day-to-day management of a diverse workforce, including both paid employees and volunteers, with strong leadership and team-building skills
• Demonstrated success in fundraising, with the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising campaigns and initiatives
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and inspiring both internal and external stakeholders
• Passion for our mission to ensure our clients with disabilities and the elderly are able to dress independently wearing clothing of their choice. Making a positive impact with our community projects
• Full, clean driving licence and access to own vehicle
• Some knowledge of sewing/dressmaking in order to provide guidance to the team
• Ability to multitask and prioritise the work of yourself and others
• To approach tasks with flexibility, with the ability to adapt to changing dynamics
• Able to sponsor and promote Dressability’s aims and objectives to the community through events, campaigns, online promotions, social media, and traditional news media

We are seeking a London Church Engagement Manager to lead on developing gospel partnerships with churches in London. In this role, you’ll take the lead in expanding the number of giving churches and forging partnerships that enhance commitments in donations, prayer, and volunteering, all aimed at reaching those who are least likely to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.

As London Church Engagement Manager you’ll collaborate closely with the ministries and training departments, engaging in inspiring conversations with churches about the financial aspects of church partnerships. • At least three years’ fundraising experience

ESSENTIAL:

We are looking for a new Funding Officer to cover areas predominantly within Kent. The role will join a passionate, vibrant and friendly team and be part of ensuring our funding supports a wide variety of communities and places locally.

As part of our London, South East and East (LSE&E) Funding team, you’ll be part of a team, led by a Funding Manager, and comprised of five other Funding Officers. · You will be responsible for your own caseload; liaise with grant recipients, visit projects, identify and manage risks, supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact. 

· You will need to understand and respond to the different needs of our applicants and grant holders by providing advice and feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.

· You’ll also need to work within the Fund’s policies and procedures and the necessary legislation, and in a way that is in line with our vision and principles.

You will represent the Fund within your local area including at funding fairs and external meetings and create opportunities for people to come together. You will share learning from your conversations, events, grant holder reports and evaluations with other colleagues so that we can maximise our impact as a grant maker.

In this role, you will Lead in planning and implementation of MEAL systems for projects, ensuring alignment with WaterAid's PMER Core Procedures, M&E System, M&E policy and guidelines as well as Hold regular project reflection meetings and data quality assessments and ensure effective use of monitoring data for adaptive management.

You’ll also:

• Enhance community involvement in MEAL processes, ensuring that projects meet donor and organizational MEL standards.
• Support the planning and implementation of CP Annual M&E Plan and Learning Agendas and Annual Review Meetings

Our Shared Reading Model combines bibliotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)techniques to support mental health and emotional wellbeing through storytelling, literature and conversation. 

As a Peace of Mind Project Trainer your responsibilities will include: 

• Delivering Verbal's Shared Reading Model for our Peace of Mind project in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (border Counties) 

•  Consulting with various groups (For example, Teachers or Health professionals)
