We have worked in Birmingham for five years and the need and urgency for our work is greater than ever, with the many live grassroots campaigns across Birmingham mobilising people to come together to save libraries, youth services and social housing. We know that a shared root cause of all of these crises is the city’s economic system.
This role leads our work across Birmingham to help build our collective capacity to analyse, strategise and take action for economic system change in the city. It will coordinate our Programme team to deliver different initiatives that support a growing movement for economic justice across the city - particularly focused on building support and engagement amongst grassroots changemakers and communities experiencing economic injustice. It will manage projects and resources, conduct programme development and delivery, oversee outreach and partnerships, changemaker recruitment and contribute to fundraising - ultimately play a key role in shaping our regional impact. This position is crucial in coordinating our work across Birmingham and driving meaningful collaboration with local and national stakeholders, in particular working collaboratively with Economic Justice Brum, a long term initiative working on local economic systems change.

Birmingham Programme Development
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, lead the translation of People’s Economy’s strategy into a programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, identify the resources People’s Economy needs to deliver its strategy in Birmingham and contribute to fundraising for the organisation’s programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with Programme Director lead outreach and relationship building with community and civil society partners, including members of the Economic Justice Brum
- Working closely with the Head of Community, lead the development of People’s Economy’s programme of outreach and relationship building with changemakers in Birmingham including current grassroots campaigns such as Save Birmingham, Save Birmingham Youth Service (SBYS), Ladywood Unite, Save Druids Heath and the Birmingham Fair Housing Campaign.
Birmingham Programme Delivery
- Working closely with the Programme Team, coordinate the delivery of People’s Economy’s programme of work in Birmingham and ensure it is well embedded, integrated and supportive in the local economic justice landscape

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to lead our Programmes Team whilst our current Director of Programmes is on maternity leave. The primary responsibility for the Director of Programmes will be to recruit school partners for our EEF trial, with delivery beginning September 2025. This trial is to test the impact our Peer to Peer coaching programme (Y10s coaching Y7s) can have on the maths attainment of disadvantaged pupils. The trial will require us to recruit 100 participating schools, 50 of whom will receive the intervention, with another 50 allocated to a control group.
Working alongside the CEO and the Programmes Team Leader, you will create and execute a strategy to recruit new schools as participants to this trial. As a result, experience of managing sales or partnerships with schools, or existing connections with senior leaders at secondary schools and multi-academy trusts, would be beneficial.
Alongside this, you will line manage our current Programmes Team Leader, who directly line manages our team of Programme Managers. From Sept 2025, we are expecting our Programmes Team to grow, and you will play a key role in recruiting for that expanded team. At that point, we would expect you to begin line managing a small number of Programme Managers directly.

The Karen Hilltribes Trust (KHT) is a UK registered Charity that has worked in Northern Thailand for the past three decades. Our mission is to partner with Karen communities to improve their health, livelihoods, and access to education. Since 1986, KHT has transformed the health and well-being of over 50,000 people through the provision of clean drinking water, improved sanitation facilities and hygiene education; secured agriculture as a sustainable livelihood for more than 17,000 farmers through the construction of flood-resistant irrigation systems; and increased accessed to education for 17,000 children and young people through school meals, transport and accommodation, and higher education scholarships.
Main Purpose of The Position
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Thai-Karen team and Director of KHT to secure funding to support the successful operation of the charity and implement projects in KHT’s three key programme areas: Community Health; Sustainable Livelihoods; and Access to Education. The role will be primarily desk based but with opportunities to travel to the field. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for:
• Developing and implementing KHT’s fundraising strategy;
• Applying for grants from foundations, corporations, and individuals;

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Develop and maintain a fundraising strategy with the Director, paying particular attention to increasing unrestricted funding opportunities.
2. Help develop and implement a CSR strategy to better engage corporations.
3. Manage grant applications for our projects to existing and new funders, who may be foundations, corporations, or individual donors.
4. Implement Prospect Research on existing and new potential donors (major gifts, corporates, trusts and foundations, individual donors) and creating solicitation plans, informing the Director on updates and activities implementation;
5. Check and constantly update Donorfy database, in coordination with KHT Director and KHT Finance Administrator;
6. Recruit volunteers to join our projects in Thailand, organically and potentially through partnerships.
7. Keep relationship with KHT Board of Trustees, in order to keep them informed on any useful material and initiatives they may help KHT with.
8. Implement community fundraising activities and organise talks and fundraising events, with the support and help of KHT Trustees and volunteers.

Person Specification
You’ll likely have:
• Several years of experience in a relevant role fundraising for registered charities.

The Investment Team also leads the Impetus Leadership Academy, a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles.
The team is made up of 18 people, including former teachers, charity chief executives, charity impact leads, management consultants, social investment portfolio managers and impact consultants.
The team is led by a Portfolio Director who sits on the Senior Management Team. The Portfolio Director has 5 direct reports: a Deputy Portfolio Director, three Sector Leads (who lead our work in School engagement, School attainment and Employment Sectors) and an Impact Lead. Sector Leads line manage 6 Investment Directors. Investment Directors line manage Investment Managers (currently 5). Job description – Investment Director
The Investment Director (ID) is a key member of the Investment Team, playing a leading role in identifying, assessing, and supporting portfolio partner charities and other non-profit organisations to deepen their impact and scale their outcomes. This role works closely with other Investment Directors and Investment Managers to deliver external facing support to portfolio partners as well as internal projects to support the development of the investment model and portfolio strategy.
Investment Directors use strategic thinking, analytical rigour, and senior relationship skills to support a portfolio of amazing organisations that, together, will help shift the life chances and outcomes of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK.
Key responsibilities
Finding high potential charities and non-profit partners for our portfolio
- Identifying potential charitable organisations for investment.
- Leading in-depth due diligence process to assess and build partnership foundations with potential partners – covering leadership and governance, and their impact, scale, and partnership potential.

As Philanthropic Programs Director, you will lead and keep developing AIM's Impactful Grantmaking training program and oversee our five funding circles. APPLICATION PROCESS
Our application processes aim to be highly predictive, time-effective, and informative for you. Our process consists only of stages that our best evidence suggests are predictive of success on the job (such as test tasks) rather than more common but less predictive stages (such as cover letters). We only invite candidates to the next stage if we think they have a good chance of passing it, and take care to choose tasks and interview questions that will also give you a good sense of the role and our culture.
Applicants will be asked to complete the following stages:

Support the overall income generation of the organisation through developing three income streams: mentor programme sales, grants from trusts and foundations and corporate donations.

The position of Fundraising Support Officer is a vital role within our Supporter Care team. The Supporter Care team is often the first point-of-call for Trinity’s supporters and fundraising queries – with communication across phone, e-mail and post channels.
The Fundraising Support Officer provides an important part of the donor experience ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately, and donations are thanked in a timely manner.
The role supports the wider Fundraising team and fundraising activities across eleven income streams.
As Fundraising Supporter Officer, you will:
- Process cash, credit/debit card and CAF donations received via post, telephone and online platforms (e.g. JustGiving, Stripe, Enthuse).
- Thank donors appropriately, liaising with Fundraising Managers as needed.
- Perform bank statement reconciliation, which includes processing standing orders, direct debits, online giving and legacies.
- Answer incoming calls to the Fundraising Team and respond to general email enquiries, maintaining Trinity’s clear tone of voice and style.
- Work as part of the wider Fundraising team providing support and participating in other duties where required.
- Support and attend fundraising events, occasionally outside of normal working hours.
