Role purpose

Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Programme management:
Provide effective programme management ensuring the Centre of Excellence operates at the highest standards, with strategic oversight of all workstreams, including stakeholder engagement, resource management, and performance monitoring.
• Leading the programme’s strategic planning and execution, ensuring that all workstreams—including budget management, timelines, and resource allocation—are closely aligned with overall objectives. Proactively address challenges to maintain programme momentum and achieve milestones effectively.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support programme success. Facilitate effective communication and alignment across teams, partners, and member institutions, promoting active engagement and collaboration throughout all programme phases.
• Establishing and overseeing a robust framework for monitoring and evaluating programme performance, focusing on impact assessment and continuous improvement. Provide regular reports on outcomes and insights, manage risks to ensure programme goals are met, and utilise evaluation data to inform strategic adjustments that enhance programme effectiveness.
• Overseeing the marketing and communication activity to promote the programme, ensuring it is visible and well-positioned among key audiences and stakeholders. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that highlight programme achievements, generate interest, and enhance engagement within the Centre of Excellence network and wider education and skills sector.
2. Network member Management:
Lead and execute a comprehensive member engagement strategy, driving value through targeted onboarding, recognition programmes, and an evolving account management framework to foster long-term member satisfaction and retention. Oversee tracking and analysis to inform strategic improvements and identify growth opportunities that align with the Centre of Excellence’s mission to expand impact.
• Developing and implementing a member engagement strategy, ensuring that institutions gain significant value from their involvement in the Centre of Excellence to include a recognition and awards programme to reward and celebrate members’ excellent practice and engagement with the Centre of Excellence.
• Providing strategic oversight to the enrolment and validation process for new members, ensuring that new institutions meet the Centre of Excellence’s standards, and work closely with the Network Member Manager to streamline onboarding, guaranteeing a positive initial experience that sets the stage for long-term involvement.
• Overseeing the tracking and evaluation of member engagement, using data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide regular updates on membership retention, engagement levels, and impact to leadership, and work with the Network Member Manager to develop strategies based on these insights.
• Identifying growth opportunities and enhancements to the programme offerings that can address emerging industry needs, supporting the Centre of Excellence’s mission and expanding its reach and impact.
3. Workforce Development:
The Senior Workforce Development Manager will lead a team of High Performance Skills Coaches to design, implement, and continuously improve a world-class teacher training programme. By incorporating global insights and innovative practices, this role ensures that the programme enhances teaching quality and raises educator capacity to deliver world-class education.
• Utilising insights from international benchmarking and emerging trends from global partners to incorporate cutting-edge methodologies and world-class standards into the teacher training programme.
• Leading a team of Skills Coaches to guide the development and delivery of high impact teacher training experiences, focusing on practical and solutions focussed strategies underpinned by international best practice that improve teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Overseeing the planning and scheduling of training activities to align with the academic calendar, ensuring that sessions are well-timed and accessible to educators throughout the year. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications teams to promote training opportunities, generate demand, and expand programme reach, actively engaging member institutions and their teaching staff.
• Establishing robust tracking and evaluation systems to monitor programme outcomes, using data to measure the effectiveness of training content and delivery. Analyse engagement and impact metrics to inform ongoing improvements, ensuring alignment with Centre of Excellence goals and maintaining the programme’s reputation for excellence.
4. General responsibilities for a Senior Manager

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.

This is a senior role within our People & Organisational Development directorate. Reporting to the Associate Director, People Operations you will play a key role in supporting Marie Curie's 5-year strategy by enabling employees to focus their time on patients and services by implementing efficient, prompt, automated and human-focused processes across data, systems, administration, payroll and audit.
Your Role:
- Overall Direction and Development: Leading the payroll team, you will ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing.

The Vacancy
The Programme Development Manager is committed to supporting colleagues and partners in programme design and development. The team also connects programmatic issues and global policy and advocacy to ensure they are complementary and conducive to external change based on evidence from the ground.
Saferworld’s income is secured primarily from statutory and institutional donors; however, securing funding to support our partners in conflict-affected countries and allow for more flexible programming increasingly requires a more diverse funding base. The Programme Development Manager will support efforts to identify and secure funds from statutory donors, trusts and foundations, and other non-traditional funding mechanisms.
The Programme Development Manager will support a portfolio of Saferworld’s teams in designing and mobilising funding for peace, security and justice programmes. The successful applicant will have a focus of approximately 4 countries, which will be decided based on the candidate’s experience and preference. Working closely with Country Managers/Directors, and programme and grant management colleagues, the post-holder will lead on: coordinating and facilitating programme development processes (including taking the lead in drafting high quality concept notes and proposals, theories of change, logical models, risk matrixes and budgets); developing and supporting the implementation of long-term country funding strategies and donor engagement strategies; and supporting new donor engagement and sustaining relationships with current donors. The post-holder will be responsible for growing institutional funding portfolios in our programmes.
The post-holder will have a successful track record in developing programmes and leading new business development efforts with institutional donors such as the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), United States Government (USG)/United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Union (EU), UN agencies and European Governments such as Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Additional experience in mobilising resource from trusts and foundations and other non-traditional funding mechanisms is desirable.

Main Purpose of The Position
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Thai-Karen team and Director of KHT to secure funding to support the successful operation of the charity and implement projects in KHT’s three key programme areas: Community Health; Sustainable Livelihoods; and Access to Education. The role will be primarily desk based but with opportunities to travel to the field. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for:

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

About the Council
The role of Council is to lead on the GOC’s mission to protect the public by upholding high standards in the optical professions. The Council is composed of six lay members (including the Chair) and six registrant members (i.e. registered optometrists and dispensing opticians). At least one member of the Council must work wholly or mainly in each of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. One Council member acts as a Senior Council Member whose role is to carry out the Chair’s appraisal as well as provide a sounding board for the Chair and serve as an intermediary for Council members, Executive and stakeholders as necessary.
The successful candidate will contribute to Council by exercising oversight, ensuring effective corporate governance, and making high-level policy decisions. Remuneration and time commitment

The Awards Management Unit (AMU)
AMU has responsibility for identifying, securing and managing all funding from government donors for the IRC. AMU is a bridge between donors and the IRC’s work on the ground. The team provides expert technical advice to colleagues delivering our services around the world, ensures consistency and compliance with our donors’ policies and procedures, and manages risk. The unit also supports all IRC staff working on awards from government donors and partnerships.
The Purpose of the Role
The Senior Advisor, FCDO Donor Engagement will lead, guide and coordinate IRC’s funding focused engagement with UK Government’s Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The post holder will provide an internal and external “account management” function to support engagement with these donors. The role is responsible for providing expertise and leadership on donor relations. It will work closely with technical and proposal development teams who will provide the operational BD capacity to secure significant growth in its funding portfolio from the UK Government and to protect IRC’s funding share, through influential engagement around policy shifts, working in close collaboration with Policy & Solutions as well as Advocacy & Influence.
The FCDO Senior Advisor will lead the development and implementation of strategies for proactive donor and partner relationships on behalf of IRC. The role will also lead FCDO liaison on Business Development with the President’s Office, advising the leadership board on relevant trends in FCDO funding.

The role also leads UKHIH’s convening work – bringing together stakeholders (e.g., innovators, academics, and humanitarians) through a range of mechanisms to promote and facilitate collaborations that focus on new and improved approaches, processes, and systems that make humanitarian action more effective.
The UKHIH Communications and Engagement Manager will work closely with Elrha’s communications team to align communications as part of a broader organisational development process and strategy, contributing to ongoing communications efforts for both Elrha and UKHIH during a period of strategic change.
Your application will need to demonstrate:
- Experience of planning and delivering multi-channel communications strategies in a way that is timely, targeted, impactful and ethical.
- Experience in the international development or humanitarian sector, including an awareness of humanitarian issues and the way that the humanitarian system operates in terms of relevant media, networks, and organisations.
- Excellent track record of Experience of managing external communications suppliers and agencies.
- Experience supporting diverse teams in the development of communication and engagement strategies and capacity development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop creative content across digital, print and other mediums.
- An understanding of transitioning brands through organisational change processes.
- Experience with event management including webinars, round tables, conference events, workshops and networking events.
- Strong written and design skills to inform the development of high-quality content for publication and to support partners to summarise complex information in clear, non-technical language.
- An understanding of how to track the impact of communications and engagement activities.

- Remote working as standard – staff can access office bases in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester if required/ appropriate. We expect staff to attend team meetings and away days in person as required.
