Overview:
Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals living with and affected by prostate cancer, providing crucial support through community-based initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Group formation and support: Oversee the setup and operation of 10-12 self-sustaining and independent peer support groups within your assigned region across the lifetime of the three-year project. Ensure smooth delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of group activities. Support existing group leaders and organisers to reach more people living with and affected by prostate cancer with tools and resources.
- Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support volunteer Support Group Leaders. Assist in the co-production of training materials and resources, aimed at creating self-sustainable groups.
- Community Engagement: Conduct outreach to map existing support services and facilitate the integration of these services with the peer support groups. Host local engagement events to boost volunteer recruitment.
- Data and Case Management: Use a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support high-quality volunteer and case management, ensuring accurate data collection to support service outcomes.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver tailored training programmes for volunteers based on the specific needs of Group Leaders and Organisers. Set up regional forums for sharing best practices and peer networking. Encourage use of Members Portal to share good practice.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Best Practice Guidance document. Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies to maintain safe governance of peer support groups.
Skills and Qualities Required:
- Strong Facilitation and Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with diverse groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Project Management: Proven skills in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied workload.
- Volunteer Management: Experience in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers in community settings. Knowledge of best practices in volunteer management.
- Influencing: Experience of influencing a wide range of partners and stakeholders, and in particular clinicians and voluntary and community providers within the health and wellbeing community.
- Community Development: Experience of developing and delivering community services with a range of stakeholders, including health and social care workers, commissioners, local authority and community and voluntary partners.
- Data-Driven Approach: Experience with data collection and CRM systems and a commitment to data-driven service evaluation.
- Community Sensitivity: Experience collaborating with people with a lived experience of cancer or other long-term conditions. Ability to understand and empathise with community needs.
- Administrative: Strong administration and IT skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: A good understanding of safeguarding practices, particularly concerning vulnerable populations.
Educational Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification or experience in Community Development, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.

We are seeking to recruit two Development Workers for Salford’s flagship Wellbeing Matters programme.
The Wellbeing Matters programme is a Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) led initiative delivered by Salford CVS in partnership with five VCSE anchor organisations. The Programme focuses on Person and Community Centred Approaches to improving the wellbeing of Salford people that are commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester, Salford’s five Primary Care Networks, and Salford Integrated Commissioning.
Wellbeing Matters Programme has two core elements, firstly community connecting / social prescribing. This connects people referred through health professionals with a non-medical need to local community assets to support an individual’s wellbeing, independence, and reduce social isolation. The programme aims to support people feel more connected to their communities, providing confidence, and social interaction connections, linking individuals to local activities and services. The main aim is to support individuals become prepared on how to manage their own health and wellbeing.
The second core element of the Wellbeing Matters programme supports the development and maintenance of the VCSE ecosystem that supports social prescribing through volunteering, voluntary action, community activities, investment and assuring quality of groups and activities. This element of Wellbeing Matters includes a team of Development Workers whose role is to develop the capacity of local VCSE groups and activities that ensures a healthy voluntary, community and social enterprise eco-system to socially prescribe into.

JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The biggest team within the Fundraising and Development department, Corporate Partnerships are responsible for building and unlocking multi-layered and mutually beneficial relationships that go beyond, and include, critical financial support.
The Head of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for leading, empowering and enabling a dynamic, growing and ambitious team to maximise the potential of both cash and gift-in-kind income streams. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic, mission-led focus and alignment across new partnership development and management whilst also playing a critical role as part of the wider Fundraising & Development leadership and Magic Breakfast core management group.
In recent years, our existing corporate fundraising programme has developed and grown and includes a volunteering programme that engages with over 200 volunteers a year. Our portfolio includes long-term strategic relationships with companies including Heinz, Amazon and New York Bakery Company as well as newer partnerships with companies such as Marriot Hotels. As the Head of the team, you will provide senior and strategic support to help deepen the impact of our many multi-faceted relationships whilst championing innovation and creativity throughout. You will also oversee the development of a targeted pipeline to ensure there are clear strategies for identification, cultivation, and stewardship and that partners are aligned with Magic Breakfast values and our Ethical Fundraising Policy.
To enable the success of the partnerships team, the successful candidate will work closely with other departments across the organisation to build effective relationships and identify and deliver opportunities for partners to deliver on and engage with our strategic objectives and campaigns.
As a member of the Senior Fundraising Leads and Core Management Group, the post holder will also show exceptional leadership, role model our core values, and support the development and delivery of the major giving and wider fundraising strategy, and the in-year management of our organisational objectives and KPIs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Leadership

Support the development and delivery of a new Fundraising & Development strategy, identifying and contributing specifically to sustainable and ambitious growth from corporate partners in line with the charity’s financial ambitions and strategic objectives

Lead in convening colleagues to ensure the organisation can make empowered decisions and continue to grow in an informed and sustainable manner.
Income Generation and Donor Stewardship

Manage a high-performing corporate fundraising team, providing leadership and support to set and implement an effective corporate fundraising strategy raising £3,400,000 in cash and £1,500,000 from GIK in 2024/25 with a focus on multi-year investment.

Increase cash and gift-in-kind income from corporate partners by:

Building the capacity of the new business function to grow a robust and diverse multi-year pipeline of prospects and support them in on-boarding new high value partnerships

Building the capacity of the account management function to effectively steward, uplift and retain our existing partners, maximising added value opportunities for mutual benefit.
Reporting, Budgets and Financial Management

Manage all aspects of the Corporate Partnerships team budget.

Lead on the data capture and reporting on all corporate management cash and gift income via our Salesforce data base, reporting as necessary on opportunities, risk and any changes to forecast or projected income received.

Conduct effective annual planning and budgeting in close collaboration with colleagues from across the organisation, setting, measuring, and reporting against agreed budget, KPIs and objectives
Core Management Group

Lead the Corporate Partnerships team in line with Magic Breakfast’s values, supporting and managing them in line with Magic Breakfast’s policies and procedures.

Develop the team’s collective capability through career development plans, which identify training opportunities (formal external training as well as via project allocation and involvement with external partners)

Take an active role in setting, delivering, and evaluating progress against Corporate Partnerships team strategy and goals

Purpose and Overview
The PCREF Programme aims to reduce and ultimately eliminate racial disparities in the services provided by the South London and Maudsley (SLaM) NHS Trust. The Programme Manager for the Independent Advisory Groups (IAGs) in Lambeth and Southwark is crucial in advancing the objectives of the PCREF. This role focuses on fostering active community participation, building capacity, and ensuring that Black communities are equal partners in the transformational change programme. The Programme Manager will lead the development and support of local IAGs, ensuring robust governance, structure, and capacity building to improve mental health services.
Supporting the IAGs and the IAG chairs is fundamental to this role. It serves to enhance the capacity of the IAGs and chairs. Whilst the job description provides a succinct outline of responsibilities, ultimately the needs of the IAGs will be paramount, with direct leadership from the Director at Black Thrive. This role is in collaboration with various stakeholders, with a clearer focus on project mismanagement and varied learning styles. Leadership must be aligned with the IAGs, ensuring diverse and inclusive practices.
Supporting policy development is crucial, and there should be an agreement on oversight, with all parties having joint oversight and review responsibilities. Reporting back to the IAGs will be a key component.
The Programme Manager is expected to be a proactive and strategic leader, passionate about equity in mental health services and capable of driving meaningful change through collaboration with diverse community members and partners. This role demands a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where Black communities can actively participate in shaping mental health services.
Duties and Responsibilities
DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT
· Establish and Develop IAGs: Lead on supporting the creation and ongoing development of local IAGs in Lambeth and Southwark, ensuring robust governance structures and effective capacity building.
· Resource Management: support in Identifying and secure necessary resources, including financial, human, and material, to support IAG activities in both boroughs.
· Recruitment and Role Assignment: support in the recruit of diverse community members from Lambeth and Southwark to join IAGs, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and assigned.
· General Management Duties: Temporarily oversee and manage day-to-day operations, supporting community service development initiatives and ensuring smooth running of IAG activities.
COMMUNITY ENGAGMENT AND COLLABORATION
· Facilitate Community Engagement: Support both IAG chairs in enhancing community engagement through active participation in IAGs, collaborating with SLaM and various voluntary/community organisations.
· Encourage Broader Participation: Foster participation from various community, statutory, and non-statutory organisations in IAG and PCREF activities.
· Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with local organisations, facilitating networking opportunities, and representing IAGs at PCREF events both online and in-person.
· Support IAGs: Provide continuous support and enhance the operational capacity of IAGs through regular check-ins, resource allocation, and problem-solving assistance.
COMMUNICATION AND PROMOTION
· Event Coordination: Plan, host, and deliver events, conferences, training sessions, and workshops to promote local services in both boroughs.
· Develop Communication Tools: Produce and disseminate communication materials in collaboration with the IAGS such as newsletters, toolkits, booklets, and feedback forms to support IAG activities and community engagement.
MEETINGS AND REPORTING
· Organise Meetings: Schedule and attend IAG and PCREF community meetings across Lambeth, Southwark, and other involved boroughs.
· Collaboration with Programme Managers: Work closely with the Croydon BME IAG Programme Manager and other stakeholders, attending regular update and planning meetings.
· Impact Measurement: Collaborate with the Maudsley Charity and Black Thrive to discuss and measure the impact of initiatives, generating detailed reports for stakeholders including for both IAGS.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
· Stay Informed: Keep abreast of PCREF change ideas and opportunities for IAG member contributions.
· Task Coordination: Oversee and coordinate additional tasks to ensure project success, managing administrative duties efficiently in line with IAG requirements.
· Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including General Data Protection Regulations 2018.
· Budget Management: Manage and provide oversight of the project budget, supporting the development and delivery of the PCREF IAG Leadership Academy.

Hope for Justice has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to join our global Finance team. In this role, the Finance Manager will provide support on the reporting of all entities within the Hope for Justice group (including African entities) for management & statutory accounts and will provide oversight and control of grants globally from bids through to monitoring spend and financial reporting both internally and to donors. Main Duties:
- Maintain the Consolidated Accounts (in Microsoft Dynamics Business Centre) of all entities within Hope for Justice group, (including Retrak entities) and work with the local country teams to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting.
- Work with Director of Finance to further embed and enhance the new ledger systems within MDBC. In addition to helping reshape the finance processes and procedures.
- Maintain the granular level data on each grant, monitoring spend against restricted funds and communicating available spends/completion of spends.
- Support the income generating teams with Donor Financial Reports, ensuring data is provided in adequate time and in the required format, as per each bid requirement.
- Understand and uphold the standards outlined in the Hope for Justice Safeguarding policies, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with our work and reporting concerns if they do arise.

The Development Manager is a new and important role at The NewBridge Project, which will support the effective management of fundraising and reporting across our work.

Fundraising
- Work closely with the Director and Programme Director to oversee the review, development and delivery of our fundraising strategy.
- Undertake research to identify potential new sources of funding from a variety of sources.

- Gather necessary information from university to be inputted into reports/evaluation.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Work in collaboration with team at NewBridge to capture qualitative and quantitative data on audiences, participants and collaborators (including social impact reporting, equalities and diversity monitoring, environmental impact, and audience data).
- Lead on evaluation administration, including review and implementation of systems for recording data/feedback and completing data entry.
- Attend events and activity at NewBridge in order to support with monitoring and evaluation.
- Work with external evaluators where applicable – at present this includes working with Ortus Economic Research to evaluate our North East Combined Authority Skills for Growth project.

Superkidz Community Trust was founded in 2001 and over the years, has provided children and young people with a safe space to play and to interact with adults who have the time to listen to them. Key accountabilities:
The Manager will:
· Be an integral member of the team delivering Superkidz day to day activities and groups.
· Following consultation with staff service users and the Board prepare a strategy, financial and operational plan that best delivers impact in line with the TGIM theory of change. This should include locations, staffing, activities, income generation and should be fully costed.
· Lead the organisation in the implementation and further development of this strategy in consultation with the Board.
· Proactively use quality and impact information and strategic analysis to inform the development of new programmes of work that improve the lives of beneficiaries.
· Ensure that systems and processes are in place to manage, monitor and report on all compliance issues including; safeguarding, health and safety, and risk.
· Take accountability for financial decisions that protect the charity’s funds, ensuring the charity is sustainable and fulfils the requirements of the relevant regulatory bodies.
· Ensure that there is an appropriate funding strategy in place to secure the greatest possible diversity of income, through commissions, grants, donations, fundraising and social enterprise trading, and lead on the delivery of subsequent plans.
· Lead on the effective management of all aspects of Superkidz services and staff team, ensuring that staffing systems and procedures are up to date, regularly reviewed, and fulfil legal requirements.

The role is a full-time and permanent contract.

The post holder will assist the Venues and Entertainments Manager in managing the activities of all Venues/Bars and staffs, including student supervisors and have overall responsibility for the quality and quantity of work for all staffs. The successful candidate will also organize and manage the delivery of the venues/ bars service across the Students’ Union in a way that meets the specific needs and requirements of students and staffs in terms of time, quality, quantity and cost. The role holder will carry out checks on a regular basis to review the financial performance of the outlets and evaluate the value for money of existing working practices, resource levels and supply arrangements.
