We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Solicitor to join the Cancer Research Horizons (CRH) team. In this role you'll advise a range of internal clients across CRH on a broad range of life sciences-related activities. What will you be doing?
Work independently to provide timely, proactive, pragmatic, high quality and commercial legal advice and solutions to the organisation
Develop a strong understanding of CRH's business areas, building excellent working relationships across CRH and CRUK, as well as with internal and external clients
Oversee the reviewing, drafting and negotiating of a broad range of legal agreements relating to collaborative research and the protection and commercial exploitation of intellectual property

What skills are we looking for?
Degree level qualification in law with relevant qualification either as a solicitor or barrister or equivalent overseas (common law) qualification

The Grantmaking Operations team sits within the Fund’s Operations department and is primarily focused on ensuring that resources are reaching frontline activist organizations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Grantmaking
- Manage due diligence and enhanced grantmaking protocols for a highly complex and high-volume portfolio of grants spanning 50+ countries.
- Inform the development and implementation of grantmaking plans, ensuring they are robust and responsive to changing contexts and needs.
- Research compliance and financial regulation for various country contexts as needed and flag potential areas of risk to the Manager of Grantmaking Policy and Models.
- Identify and flag operational challenges that may have an impact on programmatic grantmaking ambitions, potential donor commitments or grantmaking advisory bodies.
- Coordinate with Program and Grantmaking Operations to ensure grants and grantee relationships are managed according to their risk level and operating context.
- Together with Program, Fundraising and Finance teams coordinate grant recommendation processes and timeline for grantmaking portfolios.
- Prepare and organize applicant materials and prospective grantee documents for all LEF cohorts.
- Manage incoming grant proposals and evaluate eligibility of prospective grantees in line with grantmaking due diligence protocols.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees, enhancing grantee relations and maintaining communication in multiple languages, including but not limited to English and French.

Database and Systems Administration

About BDCA: BDCA is a dynamic community-led charity that has been serving the residents of the London Borough of Newham since 1998. Our motto is, “working together to change lives and transform our community” and over the past two decades we renovated four previously dead, disused spaces into lively local hubs. From these venues, our diverse team of locally-based staff and volunteers deliver targeted activities for people of every generation from children and their parents, young people and elders too. We also run programmes providing accessible sports, healthy food, poverty support and volunteering. Job Aim:To work with the Youth Project Coordinator to provide a fun, engaging and exciting programme of activities for young people across the economically disadvantaged but beautifully diverse E6 area within the London Borough of Newham. You will assist in delivering against the partnerships successful EMPOWER youth services commissioning bid to Newham Council. The service provides 10 weekly universal activities across East Ham over 49 weeks of the year for young people aged 9-19 including:
- Three outdoor MUGA sports sessions per week.
- Three youth hub session per week which includes branched off projects such as Junior Gym, screen acting, Muay Thai, healthy cookery sessions, calming crafts and sports.
- EKO Pathways after school delivery sessions, helping to support children with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
- Outdoor parks MUGA session
- Year-round trips and residentials
- Youth Theatre
- Delivery of three-week summer holiday scheme which involves volunteering placement with accredited Sports Leadership Award for 30 participants and employment for additional young people. This includes Stepping Up life skills training and social action campaign planning workshops.

The Lead of Grants and Programmes plays an integral role within the team to deliver impact to tens of thousands of dogs and cats around the world. The Lead will manage the team of expert grant managers, guiding and empowering them to achieve impact.
The Lead will oversee several portfolios of work within the grants and programmes function at Battersea, as we expand our work to impact more dogs and cats. Over the coming five years, it is planned that the size and complexity of grant making, and other forms of programming will grow, including the establishment of several multi-year programmes in the UK and abroad.
This is a senior role within the Grants and Programmes team in the Global Programmes Directorate, requiring excellent experience of people management, impact measurement, good grant making practice and implementing strategic programmes.
The successful postholder should be comfortable empowering others, taking a coaching approach to team management and in supporting the team to shape proposals and portfolios of work to advance the collective interests of a team. They should also be comfortable working with considerable scope, and complexity and nurturing relationships with colleagues as an integral element of the role.

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research, and the best advice and support.
To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to Beat Macular Disease forever.
We are looking for an empathetic and proactive Regional Manager to join our team. We show we care by creating a peer support network for people living with macular conditions, to do this we rely on our Regional Managers to enable us to deliver support that makes a difference. You will act as the main contact for all our support services across London, putting to use your outstanding organisation and communication skills. Using your natural partnership and networking skills, you will help us increase referrals from within the London region. In this pivotal role, you will enhance the Research & Learning function at Turn2us, ensuring robust Measurement, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) frameworks are developed and implemented across our work. You will lead collaborative research projects, manage a small team of three, and act as a deputy for the Head of Insight & Impact when required. You will bring organisation and rigour to our Research and Learning projects, to help drive impactful decision-making and foster a culture of learning throughout the organisation. This comes at an exciting time, as we are updating the way we understand and use insight and impact as a charity.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research and impact evaluation, with proven project management skills. You will be confident at adapting and communicating complex information to diverse audiences and possess excellent analytical abilities. Experience in developing co-produced research and working thoughtfully alongside individuals with lived experience of financial hardship is highly valued. You will also demonstrate strong management abilities, fostering a positive team dynamic while guiding the Research & Learning team towards achieving our goals.
