We are seeking to appoint an Executive Director to lead Friends of the Earth (England, Wales & Northern Ireland) at a crucial domestic and international moment for climate, environmental and social justice.
You will motivate, inspire and build the capacity of a growing and diverse network of people coming together to transform our environment into one which is flourishing, sustainable, and socially just.
You will do this as a passionate and effective advocate for an environment that’s getting better, a safer climate, abundant nature, healthy air, water and food. We work from the grassroots to the global in communities throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland to playing our part in the international network of our sister organisations around the world.
We are looking for someone with established credibility and standing within the environmental and/or social justice sectors, someone able to inspire our activists, staff and allies, and to attract funding and resources to enable our vital work; someone with outstanding strategic vision and organisational leadership as well as a collaborative approach to build and deliver transformative work internally and externally.
With exceptional communication and relationship skills and an empathetic approach, you will inspire and lead our engagement across the political landscape and engage with a widening range of communities. The Postgraduate Diploma in Children and Young People’s (CYP) Psychological Trainings: Therapy is one of the national CYP Mental Health (CYPMH) workforce development programmes, funded by NHS England. We are seeking a mental health professional with experience of curriculum design, assessment and programme organisation within an Higher Education context. You will demonstrate experience of working in CYPMH services, leadership skills, and the ability to work cross-culturally in relation to clinical practice. About the Role
The Connection at St. Martins is based in the heart of London, in the most concentrated area of rough sleeping in the UK. We have an ambitious strategy to tackle rough sleeping in central London with those people who are most persistently on the streets. Building relationships of trust with clients is at the heart of our work. To achieve this in practice, we have a fully trauma informed approach across the whole charity with psychologists embedded in our service delivery teams.
Alongside running our busy day centre at Adelaide Street by Trafalgar Square, we are developing our access to accommodation. This includes a project to extend our scheme in Clapham with a new building during 2025. The extension will provide 3 additional studio flats and activity spaces. This is the first in a longer term goal to introduce more accommodation into our service portfolio so that we can house an additional 300 of our Adelaide Street clients by 2028. We are also keen to develop our links into health, through partnerships with the NHS and other treatment services. Finally, we would like to further improve our offer for women and for people with No Recourse to Public Funds.
The Director of Services is a vital role for us and this is an incredibly exciting opportunity for someone who shares our passion for addressing rough sleeping. The successful candidate will be ambitious and tenacious in developing high quality services and growing our support. They must be able to build really strong relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders alongside bringing extensive experience from homelessness, mental health, addiction or the criminal justice sector.
Our Director of Services will:
- Ensure excellent service delivery which reflects our Theory of Change;
- Deliver the charity’s Service Quality and Development strategy;

PURPOSE OF THE POST
The Assistant Director for POPS core business is pivotal to ensuring the efficient, effective and legally compliant management of POPS’ head office functions and organisational infrastructure. In addition, the post holder will oversee POPS’ outsourced ICT function and manage all matters in relation to the physical maintenance of POPS’ head office building and the management of the tenanted space.
ACCOUNTABILITY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
GENERAL
- Work productively alongside POPS Assistant Director for Operations and Business Development to ensure the success and future growth of the organisation
- Develop national, regional and local alliances and partnerships to enable POPS to fulfil its Mission and strategic plans
- Seek out the use of innovative business models and systems.
- Work with departmental managers to develop action plans and ensure that appropriate targets are set, monitored and achieved.

- Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget, monitor monthly management accounts and review project activity against agreed budgets

Job Purpose
We are at a critical point in the development of our organisation as we build a new strategy and start a period of transformation. This executive director role will lead this change by creating the right environment to drive strategic, technological and cultural transformation at NCVO, so we deliver innovative services and long-term systemic positive impact to our members and the wider voluntary sector over the next decade.
Dimensions
This role will join the executive team, reporting to the CEO and the board of trustees. They will create a new directorate – the transformation unit – which will deliver key strategic projects that have a demonstrable impact on the organisational culture, growth and capabilities. This will include significant investment, and they will be responsible for a large budget. The strategic decisions they recommend, will impact our resilience and sustainability as an organisation, as well as ensuring we service our membership of over 17,000 organisations. Job Purpose
This position will lead the established department/s in order to deliver on key priority areas of the Strategic Plan in the areas of: soil, climate and water; integrated crop management and pest ecology; mechanization and post-harvest; crop modeling and technology targeting; remote sensing; adoption; nutrition; and livelihoods, gender and youth issues in agrifood systems. The position will have a key role in strengthening the Institute’s role as a key provider of rice-agrifood systems based outcomes leveraging IRRI’s scientific expertise, international convening role, trusted advisor status, and extensive partnerships network. The Regional Director will be responsible for providing strategic and practical insights and follow-through to position and grow IRRI in Africa. The Director will ensure a strong reputation for IRRI in relation to our capability to bring big solutions to issues critical for Africa like rural poverty, resilience and sustainability, nutrition/health and national economic advancements.
The Director will lead the development and implementation of an overall Africa strategy as well as country strategies for IRRI's research needs, outreach, capacity strengthening, partnerships and resource mobilization. The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international Catholic organisation, founded in 1980 with a shared global mission to accompany, serve and advocate alongside and for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced people. Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.
This role will support the Director of Development in implementing DFN Project SEARCH’s fundraising strategy.
