As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of People and Culture will work in a spirit of mutual accountability with fellow directors, taking strategic leadership of Turn2us’s People and Culture Directorate. You’ll have responsibility for strengthening our culture and supporting all our people managers to attract, develop and retain colleagues who are committed to our values and guiding principles.

In this new, impactful role, you will be responsible for mobilising and subsequently continuously improving a new network engagement and support function. The aim of the function is to significantly enhance the understanding the of needs, views and priorities of local Age UKs and the way in which the national organisation connects with, engages, and supports them.
Working collaboratively with local Age UKs and national teams, the Director of Network Engagement & Support will be responsible for developing and implementing a network engagement and support strategy. This includes driving forward changes that may include the type of support provided, the way in which it is delivered and how it is monitored and measured to ensure our approach is responsive, sustainable and supports the strategic objectives and operational needs of the network.
This will require collaborative working across a range of teams to ensure a coherent and coordinated approach. This role and team will engage directly with local Age UK leadership, be the owner of the organisational overview of the network and network interactions, ensuring risks and issues are appropriately managed and that there is an effective and transparent flow of information across the organisation and network including into formal governance mechanisms.
The Director of Network Engagement & Support will ensure the effective delivery and operation of several formal and informal network engagement activities, for example Chief Officer induction. Whilst taking responsibility for providing team strategic direction and management to achieve objectives, the role holder is also expected to be a visible and constructive participant within both the wider Age UK senior management team and the senior team of the Network division.

The Group Finance Director holds a key role in the executive team in the Foundation Office of the Charity. They are accountable for all matters relating to the UWGCF Charity finance, including the oversight of school income, endowment investments, loans, subsidiary companies, VAT, and the leadership of the Foundation finance team. World Cancer Research Fund champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Director who will be responsible for the work of the charity within the UK. The Director will be the strategic and day to day leader of the UK organisation and will also work hands-on not only with his/her direct reports but also all teams in the office. We are seeking a leader who can take the UK charity’s fundraising to new heights; thus, this is a particularly important focus area.
The role will be directly overseeing the World Cancer Research Fund UK’s Fundraising and Health Information Departments. You will report to the CEO and work in partnership with the UK CEO and other senior executives in updating and implementing the organisation’s strategy and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of directing and leading a similar sized UK philanthropic organisation (or a fundraising team within a larger charity), including writing and implementing strategies and evaluating outcomes. You will have proven experience of delivering fundraising objectives as well as a strong track record in communications and up to date knowledge of social media and digital strategies. Substantial experience of management of teams at both strategic and tactical level including developing skills, abilities, performance management and confidence in staff is required as are high level speaking skills.

The Role:
As a Director Assistant and Business Support, you will be instrumental in managing the Director's schedule, communications, and various projects, ensuring that tasks are completed smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve collaborating across the organisation, liaising with external contacts, and ensuring the Director's activities are well-coordinated and supported.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide a proactive and efficient Admin and PA service to the Director, acting as the first point of contact.
- Manage the Director's diary, email inbox, and communications, drafting agendas, briefing notes, and correspondence.
- Coordinate and provide administrative support for meetings, including logistical arrangements and minute-taking.
- Support the Directorate leadership team by triaging tasks and managing action logs.
- Liaise with external contacts on behalf of the Director and negotiate as necessary.
- Oversee financial administration, including processing invoices and expenses.
- Collaborate with the Leadership support team.
Essential requirements:
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to handle financial processes.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.

The Director of Finance is responsible for the efficient and effective leadership and management of the Gallery’s finance, governance and commercial activities. With scrupulously high standards, they will drive the quality and transparency of financial management and reporting, ensuring robust financial controls and the smooth running and management of the Gallery’s finances. A key member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Finance contributes to shaping and implementing the Gallery’s strategic development.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate a proven ability in leadership and financial control within a complex organisation, managing people and limited resources effectively, delivering results, thinking strategically and inspiring and motivating others. They will need to demonstrate a high degree of energy and agility, with the ability to build highly effective, collaborative working relationships at all levels of the organisation. The new Director of Finance will demonstrate a high level of financial and business acumen and strategic insight and will possess strong analytical and project management skills.
With experience at Board level, they must be comfortable with presenting to Boards and with the ability to develop strategy and present business plans.
Previous experience of the gallery and museum sector would be desirable but is not essential, and applications are welcomed from candidates with commercial, charitable and private sector backgrounds. Candidates must be able to demonstrate empathy with the mission and vision of Whitechapel Gallery and act with a high degree of personal integrity in a diverse cultural environment.
