What is the role?
As Head of Individual Giving, Legacy and Supporter Experience, you’ll lead a passionate team responsible for individual giving, legacy programmes, and delivering a world-class supporter experience.
You’ll shape and implement data-driven strategies to engage and steward supporters, maximise donor lifetime value, and deliver campaigns that truly resonate. You’ll also lead the development of a first-class supporter journey, ensuring donors feel valued and connected to the impact they make.
This role is key to helping us achieve significant growth across cash appeals, raffles, lottery, committed giving, legacy, and in-memory giving, ensuring Prospect Hospice can continue providing compassionate care to those in need.

Property Service Inspector (Stock Condition Lead) - £42,558 pa
We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Property Services Inspector (Stock Condition Lead) to join our dedicated team. The main responsibility is to carry out stock condition surveys of the association’s properties as part of an ongoing program.
In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise in housing construction to conduct regular inspections and address any necessary actions to meet the high expectations of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gathering information on the condition of Hightown’s individual properties and buildings to assess their overall state, identify necessary repairs, pinpoint health and safety concerns, and ensure that properties remain fit for purpose while continuously meeting the Decent Homes Standard (DHS).
- Collaborate with the Property Services Co-ordinator to raise orders for necessary repairs identified during inspections, using a list of approved contractors, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly with minimal disruption to residents.
- Reports on stock condition assessments, detailing the volume of issues and any related concerns, as directed by the Senior Surveyor.
- Carry out regular Fire Risk Assessments in communal areas, identifying any issues and initiating necessary actions. Report defects to the appropriate authorities promptly as required.
- Conduct post-inspections of completed work, exercise financial oversight, and ensure invoices are processed and approved for payment in compliance with financial regulations.

Our client is a grant-making charity, established in 2020, with a vision to transform young people’s mental health support in the UK. The charity envisions a world where no young person is defined by their mental illness and where they have access to the right support at the right time.
The organisation invests in services and research that prevent and treat mental illness in young people, with a specific focus on the prevention and early intervention in anxiety and depression for 11–25-year-olds. They are interested in non-clinical approaches and building a stronger evidence base for what is effective. They want evidence to be translated into practice and believe in scaling solutions that are proven.
The charity awards grants of approximately £8 million a year. These grants support youth, mental health, and community charities working on the front line with young people, as well as universities and institutes researching better treatments for mental ill health and advocating for improvements.
Prospectus is delighted to be working with our client as they seek to appoint a permanent Team Executive Assistant to their small team. The position is offered on a full-time basis with 4 days a week in the London office (remainder from home).
The role:
Reporting to the Director, the main purpose of the Team Executive Assistant will be to help this fast-growing organisation run super smoothly. This is a chance to join a charity early in its evolution, to shape an organisation and to be involved in an area you are passionate about.
This will be a key role at the charity in a small team of six people and will be responsible for building and improving efficient administrative processes and procedures which support the Director, Trustees and wider team. This person will lead on efficient diary management for the Director, Head of Grants and Head of Sector Engagement, will oversee the Director’s email inbox, will drive the board papers and committee servicing process by ensuring papers are prepared on time, minutes are taken and actions complete and will coordinate with the company secretary for basic governance actions. This person will also be responsible for operational planning, so the whole team has sight of what is happening and the dependencies between activities.
This role will also ensure a smooth monthly approval and payment process for grants and miscellaneous costs, will carry out basic research into potential grants in addition to preparing biographies and summarising articles. They will coordinate the organisation of a small events calendar, co-ordinating with contributors, suppliers and guests, drafting briefings and guest lists and on the day logistics. Most gatherings take place at the Foundation offices. Finally, this person will be responsible for website updating, creating communicative relationships with the Trustees and Advisory Panel, which includes young people and will maintain clear records on SALESFORCE to capture activity and operational progress. This is very much a lynchpin role which is at the heart of the smooth running of the Trust.
The person:
The successful candidate will have clear and demonstrated Executive Assistant experience where they will have supported a CEO and Senior Management Team in running a business or ideally a charity, trust or foundation perhaps. They will be highly organised and a naturally helpful and communicative person. They will have substantial diary management, events coordination and committee servicing experience in addition to being an effective minute taker, technology (Word, Excel, CRM Databases) confident and a social media savvy operator. Positive, methodical, creative and solutions driven, this person will have experience of creating collaborative and productive relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Our Governance Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all governance work, providing support to the Board, CEO and Executive Team in all matters relating to governance and in particular for the Board and Committee meetings.

What will you be doing?
- Lead and advising on all matters relating to governance including the constitution, memorandum and articles of association, standing orders and codes of conduct, including leading the implementation of any changes agreed by the Board.

What Skills and Experience do you need?
- Experience of providing governance support at Board level.

- Excellent project management skills and experience.

Public Interest Litigation Support (PILS) is a Belfast-based non-profit committed to supporting local organisations to use the law in a creative way to protect human rights and equality.
Now, PILS is looking for a Legal Support Manager to coordinate PILS’ membership network of law firms and NGOs, help them develop and submit applications for PILS’ services, and assist the PILS Director with legal casework.
PILS is a membership organisation, offering a range of free legal and financial supports to our solicitor and NGO members to help them take strategic human rights & equality cases in the public interest. Public interest litigation refers to legal cases that will create positive change for vulnerable or disadvantaged groups of people in Northern Ireland.
From our origins as a pilot project, PILS has matured into Northern Ireland’s dedicated support service for litigation in the public interest.
Since our project was founded in 2009, our membership network has grown to over 170 NGOs and solicitor firms. Through collaborating with these organisations, and connecting them with pro bono lawyers, PILS has been part of major legal success stories: from ‘game-changing’ judicial reviews on integrated education, seismic climate justice challenges, and multiple examples of holding public bodies to account.

About the Youth Endowment Fund
We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.
In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. To make this happen we fund, evaluate and then spread the very best work on reducing violence affected young people across England and Wales.
Central to all of this to is two key tasks: firstly, deciding which initiatives we should fund and evaluate and secondly, ensuring we do this excellently. Our Programmes Team is central to getting this done. This team is responsible for planning specific rounds of funding that will fill evidence gaps and identifying, assessing, funding and supporting initiatives designed to prevent violence affecting young people. This way we build evidence on what works so that we can change national practice and policies.
Key responsibilities
You are a key member of the Programmes team. As a Programme and Impact Lead, you will line manage Programme Managers and be responsible for managing some of our larger grant awards, that include more complex evaluation designs. You’ll be responsible for making sure our delivery organisations can effectively engage with robust, independent evaluations, so we have the best chance of generating valuable learning from a round. And you may also be responsible for directly managing our independent evaluators as well.
You must have a strong understanding of evaluation methodologies and challenges organisations face in delivery. You must also be a brilliant project manager, great at managing and developing people and external stakeholders, energised by tackling complex problems and really care about the YEF’s mission to build evidence of what works.
Your main responsibilities boil down to these. You’ll:
- Manage large-scale complex projects
- You’ll be responsible for managing programmes of a significant size and complexity. You’ll draw on your experience of managing large scale projects and knowledge of evaluations to overcome unexpected challenges. You’ll balance logic and intuition to guide partners and colleagues through the inevitable undulations of complex projects and feel comfortable making decisions when there’s too much or too little information. You’ll ensure projects maintain a strong alignment to the original aims and objectives of the funding round.
- Provide leadership to the Programmes Team and strategic advice to the Assistant Director of Impact, Programmes and Partnerships. Along with other Programme and Impact leads, you’ll deputise for the Assistant Director of Impact, Programmes and Partnerships. This means you’ll:
- Take responsibility for making key decisions in funding rounds and with specific programmes;
- Oversee a broad portfolio of projects and serve as a senior point of escalation when issues arise;
- Manage budgets, including approving payments and making judgements about the appropriateness of timeline and budget variation requests;
- Be responsible for knowing when to pull others into the decision.
- Lead strategic areas of work. You’ll develop and embed a clear strategy for distinctive areas of work that will enable us to achieve our mission. This includes:
- Finding new ways to improve our internal knowledge sharing and learning, contributing new ideas around how the Programmes team can play into emerging areas of work in the wider organisation.
- Supporting organisations to become evaluation ready, ensuring young people are the heart of our funding decisions and driving efficiencies so we can be the best we can be.
- Developing and leading the implementation of these strategies and ensure we are on track to achieve our aspirations.
- Developing and rolling out new processes designed to help us monitor progress in commissioning and high-quality grant management.

- You’ll make sure the team are excellent at supporting delivery organisations to engage with robust evaluation. You’ll help organisations identify the challenges and mitigations associated with embedding an evaluation approach in their project and delivery. This includes helping them understand the importance of having excellent monitoring and quality assurance systems and process and ensuring they are comfortable engaging in open and honest conversations with evaluators to ensure the project and evaluation are the very best they can be.

Hybrid Working

Interview process

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a talented, creative and dedicated marketing professional to join our small but powerful team to help deliver our new strategy.
As a new role in the hospice’s Fundraising & Marketing Team, the Marketing & Communications Manager will join an existing team of fundraising managers working to maximise awareness and support of the hospice in order to ensure its long-term sustainability.
The postholder will be responsible for the operational management, development and delivery of marketing and communications to support the hospice’s income generation strategy, including line management of the Website Editor and Marketing & Communications Officer, and external agencies.
The successful candidate will be an experienced marketing professional, used to working closely with income generating teams. They will oversee the delivery of a compelling programme of multi-channel communications with the sole aim of increasing the awareness of and support for the charity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and communications planning, delivery and performance management
- Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing, develop a clear marketing and communications plan to support the strategies for fundraising, retail and volunteering.
- Implement, monitor and analyse marketing and communications plans and budgets, producing impactful insights and reports to guide our ever-evolving work through all communication channels.
- Develop and maximise the marketing mix, identifying innovative initiatives and working across online and offline channels, to best support the promotion of all income generation activities across the hospice.
- Ensure compliance to industry standards and best practice at all times.
- Support the fundraising strategy in proactively researching and targeting audiences across the catchment area to ensure a broadening of reach and awareness of the breadth of the hospice’s services.
- Be forward facing and lead on engagement with clinical colleagues to promote the need for strong patient stories and effective storytelling to support fundraising.
- Ensure sufficient opportunities for collection of service user data to share news and promote activities.
- Proactively develop and streamline the long-term internal and external communications schedules across the charity.
- Lead on content creation, coordination and production of hospice marketing materials, protecting the reputation, brand and tone of Katharine House.
Operational delivery
- Lead on the writing and distribution of appropriate and engaging press releases, paid adverts, local village features and articles.
- Work closely with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee delivery of a planned (and reactive) social media programme, maximising opportunities to increase our profile, using online planning and Analytical tools to plan and report on digital channels to improve targeting and supporter journeys.
- Work closely with the Website Editor to oversee and optimise the KHH website: creating and updating content for the charity and clinical colleagues, including the EPiC Resource Centre.
- Work with the Website Editor and Supporter Care team to ensure that integration of the CRM (Beacon) and website is optimised, to maximise supporter journeys, supporter preference compliance and insights.
- Work together with relevant charity and clinical colleagues and our designer to prepare, design and deliver high-quality marketing materials.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Officer to oversee the production of the monthly supporter e-newsletters.
- Alongside your immediate team, manage production of the bi-annual Katharine House magazine from start to finish, with content and thematic planning with fundraising and volunteering managers.
- Lead on content creation to use across the charity. Continue to manage and regularly update our library (filed, captioned, tagged) of patient, staff and volunteer stories with consent, quality photography and video content for use across all of income generation.
- Manage and oversee the charity’s online channels including website, ensuring accurate, up-to-date and engaging content, and ensure all online advertising (inc. paid social media adverts), Google AdWords grant and SEO are effectively managed.
- Liaise with clinical colleagues at our NHS partner OUH to support key marketing, messaging and communication needs, ensuring our brand is correctly used.
Leadership and people management
- Meet regularly with the Website Editor and Marketing & Communications Officer, fostering positive communication and engagement. Carry out monthly one-to-ones, setting quarterly objectives and recognising training needs where necessary.
- As a member of the management team, represent the culture and values of the hospice and charity sector.
- Manage the ongoing and changing priorities within the team, communicating and sharing progress and changes in a clear, timely manner. Promote collaborative working and its benefits across the organisation.
- Attend regular management meetings, contributing to team strategy and overall management/team needs.
- Act as a positive role model to the charity team and wider stakeholders.
- Actively manage the workload of our designer.
- Where necessary, manage poor performance as it happens and support staff to fulfil their role.
